I love that Liam only brings out his Irish accent specifically against Taliesin, like imagine gunning for your friend that hard.

AAAH I'm so pleased!!! I used Irish Breakfast instead of my typical English Breakfast (running low and have barely touched the Irish) and it was PERFECT! Stronger, heavier, earthier, but if you keep the brewing time below 5 minutes it's perfect... 3 cubes sugar, two splashes of cream. It's thicker and pleasant and not overly sweet. This is an exceptional result. I'm so happy.

Pedro went on BBC Radio 2 (? I believe) and said that Din keeps himself clean at every opportunity he can get and that he’s just a lil OCD about it
And I am LIVING

yeah yeah i got recommended that Henry Cooldown analysis video whatever. i am still not over people comparing Henry to a medieval knight, NOT even taking the time to unpack that said mental image of a knight is 'mostly' associated with the British Monarchy*, an extension of its Empire that *checks notes* did a long list of atrocities like imperialism and colonialism, and also (multiple) genocides.
Henry is NOT British, he is Irish. Although considering the history of Ireland and how poorly the British Empire has treated them (amongst SO MANY OTHER COUNTRIES AND DIASPORAS), yeah it's NOT surprising that an Irish man like Henry is essentially forced to adopt quote on quote 'British sensibilities' to 'survive'. <- intentional imagery or not, the implications are not lost on me.
Like okay, calling out the comparison is cool but it sure would be nice if people went further to unpack what that means and implies in the long term. you know, like ACTUAL CRITICAL ANALYSIS?!

what do you headcanon mack's voice to sound like. would he have an accent
i dunno whenever i think of their "voices" its all very nebulous. i havent really found a good irl voice that i think would match either of them. realistically mack would have some sort of accent but i couldnt tell you what it would sound like. i always pictured macks voice to be kinda low and clear. felixs is a bit higher and gets even higher when hes upset. which is most of the time.

marvel should hire me to write bc i'd pull the funniest thing on earth where i am wiping his catholic slate CLEAN and i would explcitily have him go ehhhh i've never really been religious me and my dad went some easters and christmases and attended a few services outside of that but that stopped by the time i was around 10 and my dad just kinda gave up on it because he didn't particularly want to go by that point either. and even then we hadn't gone every year for easter and christmas in that time frame. and then we never bring that shit up again in the story. he is only catholic in the sense he went a few times and it's the only church experience he knew and his dad probably grew up going to church more in his youth being dragged in by his family but he never felt particularly compelled to go back to it once he moved out on his own. catholic only in the fact that his family was irish catholic but his dad is a lapsed catholic who did not give a fuuuuuck

Why does John Lydon have to be like that? I hate him now, but I sort of find him fascinating when he was young and kinda cute, so I can't not hate him as much as I would like.
i understand, anon. ive got pretty much the same exact feelings
but smth i keep in mind is that hes changed. that means he previously had pretty damn good takes on things. personally i like what he said when asked about the national front
a lot of punks from the first generation have changed for the extreme worse as theyve gotten older. captain sensible of the damned and exene from x being just two. but that doesnt mean that they were always like that. it doesnt suddenly erase the good things they did and said. sometimes ppl just get stupid. it happens. we've all got a family member who spouts the same shit
personally i think lydon was and is a better man then most rockstars are. its a low bar to clear but many musicians trip over it including punk musicians. so shout out to lydon for always hating that child molester cunt johnny thunders and speaking up about jimmy saville, another child molester, when everyone else was too chicken shit to do the same. i respect him a lot more then i respect the clash who worked with allen ginsberg the outspoken NAMBLA member (until someone can prove to me that ginsberg wasnt open about being with NAMBLA when he worked with the clash i will always hold this shit against them)
anyway i really dont think theres a point in hating the past version of someone for who they are in the present. lydon was a good kid. not perfect but he had his heart in the right place. i like this feature vivien goldman did on him in 1978
maybe im too sympathetic but honestly i dont really care. theres worse shit going on for me to worry about then if im giving a guy who's present day self i barely think about too much grace
