little omori doodle I did for the upcoming chapter of Retrograde of a Stranger.  I’m calling it “star-struck” Omori for now.

Okay so I haven’t been on tumblr recently but I have been giving a couple of life updates over on my twitter account and I finally decided that I needed to do that here because I have more followers here than I do on twitter (Currently 0 over there) so here goes.
I’m not sure if I mentioned this before on here but my laptop has been having issues charging for almost an entire year. At first we thought it was the charger so we got that replaced, it wasn’t the charger. Then we thought it might have been the charger port (Where you plug it in at) and just recently we took it into the local computer store to get it fixed (Same store I got my very first pc at actually, might share that story next)
Turns out there’s supposed to be a small plastic peace in the charging port that hold the three metal prongs still or something and it wasn’t there. No clue what could have happened to it but the guy said it would probably take a month to get a new part for it so we left my laptop and charger there.
My grandma and grandma as a surprise decided to buy me a small Chromebook for Christmas so I could still chat with friends and listen to my music.
Anyways, we get a call last week saying that they didn’t have the correct tools to fix my laptop because apparently something they need to replace is directly on the motherboard, they don’t need to replace the motherboard itself but there is something on it that they do.
I wasn’t feeling the best last friday so my grandma said she would go pick it up for me so I didn’t need to ride to town to get it, she needed to pick a few things up anyways. I get car sick easily and already feeling well I hope people understand that it would have been a bad idea to go to town. (Don’t worry it was just a cold, I feel a bit better now. )) My grandma gets to the store and there’s a black haired mid 20s guy standing outside it, my grandma asked if he was going in cause he was sort of just staring in the window and the guy said yeah so my grandma opened the door for him and let him go in first while politely chatting with him.
The guy at the counter thought that they knew each other and that they came together, keep this in mind.
My grandma asked if there was a way he could clean my screen a little for me, I had let my brother use it once and he dirtied it up a bit. He agreed and took it to the back to clean it and then he came back and gave it to my grandma.
My grandma thanked him and left the store, the black haired guy going to leave behind her. WELL turns out the guy forgot to hand my grandma my charger so he called THE GUY BACK and thinking that my grandma and he knew each other and were together GAVE HIM MY CHARGER! We do not know this guy at all btw, we had no clue that the guy had given my charger to someone.
So, yesterday I called them up early, right when they opened at 10, was told to call back in half an hour because the guy wasn’t at work yet so I did so and explained to the guy that we didn’t get my charger back and would come to pick it up later that day. The guy was understandably confused and he explained what happened and when I said that my grandma went to town alone and didn’t know that guy there was an awkward silence and I could practically hear the words “Oh I fucked up” going through this mans head.
He said he would look at the security cameras and see if he could figure out who he was, i don’t know if he’l find them or even if the guy would have kept the crappy charger at all instead of just throwing it away.
My grandma was furious when I told her what happened though, I understand her fury this time.

So, battery here, cord there, keyboard fried by a drunk dying man, and eventually I lost it, and the tablet went SMACK down on my table early last month (or was it the month before?). I cursed his name to hell, and with the last remnants of sanity teetering, the USB port I later discovered had been, em, injured, let’s say. Not long after, and god help me I almost bawled my eyes out, the smart TV I got for Christmas fell off the dresser a few weeks later and, of course, it smashed. So I took pictures with my crappy old phone camera,  and I watched documentaries on a screen as big as my wallet, which is to say, blawdy small.
And as that coveted Nikon filled with images, that I could do nothing with, until a few weeks ago the SD card filled up, and my heart broke anew.
Taking pictures with a shite for a phone, and poem after poem and words upon words that became lost to tablets that died, and every day a piece of me, too.
Yet, and blessed be birthday money, squirreled away for a few weeks till I found what I wanted, and here I am, type, type, typing away on a wonderful little Chromebook I bought used here in the hood, and this is what I saw this past summer.
Irish chased baby raccoon up a tree
There was a Pow Wow on The Green, June 21st, the same day the little coon ended up in the Black Walnut.
And there were lots of wildflowers, captured in meadows
The Summer It All Broke, And What I Saw So, battery here, cord there, keyboard fried by a drunk dying man, and eventually I lost it, and the tablet went SMACK down on my table early last month (or was it the month before?).
