This fandom has come to dislike and resent Jimin because he had the misfortune of being friends with Jungkook. They resent him because he's loved and successful and people talk well about him. There's a lot of new armys who probably have no idea that "armys" started ignoring Jimin's tweets and stopped interacting with them because they thought it boosted his brand reputation and other members deserved to be #1 too. They literally stopped themselves from interacting with Jimin's tweets so he wouldn't be "more" than the others. And yet, people in real life, outside of the fandom, still keep Jimin there as #1. So I think that for starters, we should all collectively agree on what's the actual definition of "popularity." Case in point, BTS had a huge fandom since years but they weren't actually "popular" until dynamite.

Wong kar wai is a Hong Kong director i found him through tarantino's recommendations and I loved his films so much his style of films are kinda different from your typical hongkong cinema hits. If you love dreamy (?) vivid cinematography with an aesthetically pleasing colour palette, amazing soundtracks and nonlinear narratives or you just appreciate good films i really recommend Wong kar wai! My favs have to be Chungking express (1994) and fallen angels (1995) they are kinda connected but can also be watched as stand alones (maybeee i love fallen angels just a little bit more because of Takeshi Kaneshiro) in the mood for love is also really good

OMG PLEASE WATCH HoW!! Like I know I'm biased bc it's my fav slasher movie, but what draws me in the most is the amount of thought placed into the Sinclairs, & their background, & the whole town really, & how you can make a ton of connections by paying attention to little details not explicitly pointed out/mentioned. Also, I won't spoil, but final characters that are immature/assholes/purposely ignorant (reminds me of the ppl I went to high school with tbh) annoy me SO much, but HoW makes me like both the slashers and the final character(s) bc they're all well developed :)
