Before I begin my bonkers recap about colors in episode 7 of Bed Friend, I need y'all to know I'm very attracted to Net's sad face. Net being sad in Catch Me Baby? Attracted. Net being sad in Tell the World I Love You? Attracted. Net being sad in Bed Friend? ATTRACTED!
No matter how upset I would be at him, if he used this face on me, he'd own my ass. Every. Single. Time.
FOCUS! --- We start the episode viewing Uea's attempt to write an apology message to King the same day he snapped at King in the stairwell, only to delete it, and the next day be confronted with Jade asking King about his arranged date
God! Someone put a blanket over his head so I can focus on the plot.
Both boys begin the episode in extremely muted colors because they are lost in their emotions
Uea regains some of his color, but although King puts on black, he is still deep in the red as he continues to worry about Uea
Krusty Krit, in his continued attempt to mimic King, wears black as well
The next day, the boys are back in their muted colors
So Krusty Krit, in his blue, waits until Uea is alone to demand Uea come to his office
And, to no surprise, Krusty Krit's office is buried in blue
Krusty Krit locks the door, which mimics what King normally does when he is with Uea, yet he touches Uea, which King would never do
Uea gets out of the office, only to be met with a giant barrier between him and King
They argue, and the next day, Uea is devoid of color (in white), then switches to blue (it's an office color day which King has only participated in once), with Krusty Krit in blue and stripes because it's now very clear he is no poor-man's King; he is simply a poo-man
Uea's sister calls him home since his boss had the audacity to show up there, so he wears his fake happiness yellow, and Krusty Krit wears black to match the shitty stepdad
And, like Jade said, we are now aware of Krusty Krit's true color (figuratively, since this man copies everyone else's colors)
King, drowning in his misery, drinks out of red cans until he decides to tell Uea how much he misses him, yet his phone dies (I am very much delulu because this sweater looks dark blue)
And he finds out the next day while wearing black that Uea has decided to resign (Uea's in blue stripes, I see)
But King shows up to see Uea next week, in what would have been the final episode before two more were added, IN BLUE!!!!!!
Yet keeps it black with his family and in the office
Is King about to fully embrace his color love for Uea and confess?!
Quick, put a blanket over his head before his eyes start to water, and I get distracted!
