Calling All “Pyrophobiamaniacs”: Queer-Run Monster Prom Ozmien (Damien/Oz) Community Discord

Hello, Monster Prom fans!

Do you like the ship Damien/Oz?

Would you like a place to chat with other fans of the ship and share fanart and fanfic made by yourself and other Monprom fans?

Do you just want to scream at people about how beautiful of a couple Damien and Oz would make?

There are some hard rules, especially involving harassment and NSFW content so as to protect myself (I am 18) and the other legal adults on the server from liability and to protect minors from age-inappropriate content. Other than these rules, however, the server is very friendly and open to all kinds of interaction, including general chat, sharing fanart and fanfic you love, sharing your own fanart and fanfic, sending me fanfic to write summaries of and promote to the rest of the server (Including your own!), or just keysmashing frantically about Ozmien.

I emphasize that the Discord is queer-run (I am gay and a primarily He/Him enby just like Oz!! Hooray!!) because it has come to my attention that some people (half-jokingly, but still) view Ozmien as Monprom’s version of the “fetishized by straight people” mlm relationship that we have become so acquainted with in fanfic spaces, so I just want to make clear that my intense interest in Ozmien stems from a very genuine place. That said, respectful and enthusiastic cishet Ozmien shippers are obviously welcome, and we would absolutely love to have you. I just wanted to make sure I mentioned that in case any queer people were afraid of what the server culture would be like!!!! You will not be alone!!!!

Now, a brief bit about me. My name is Zed_Zalias. You may have read a little Ozmien fic I wrote a month and a half or so ago called The Most Badass Noob. Here’s a link if you’re curious: https://archiveofourown.org/works/32676679. It’s just silly, smutty, fluffy nonsense, but I had a lot of fun writing it and fell totally in love with this ship and its community while doing so, which led to me starting to plan a long, elaborate, slow-burn fic about healing from trauma, learning to love yourself, and falling in love with the Prince of Hell, the first chapter of which should be coming out... Soon™. So if you’d like to be part of the writing process—see snippets of it early, give me feedback when I need to ask if ideas are good, or just shout at me to hurry up and post it already—that’s another reason you may be interested in the Discord! I am often a bit of a disaster, so I honestly will need all the help I can get to make sure I execute this story correctly, and I’d love to have you along for the ride. That said, this Discord is not primarily to promote my own work. You can ignore every message I send about my own writing, and I will not be offended in the slightest.
