Aaaaand speaking of angst. Rant under the cut and content warning for mentions of death!

Not sure how many followers will understand this, but even though I was aware that Nighteye predicted Toshinori dying a horrible death if he continued the path of hero work after his injury, I only just saw the episode last night AND OH BOY LEMME TELL YA

I have never seen a man be so stubborn, even if he thinks it's for the greater good. And I had no idea there was a SPECIFIC time limit to his death, I thought it was just a 'eventually its GONNA happen' kind of thing but knowing that he was fully aware of the timeframe and was fully prepared to meet it head-on ; ^ ; just thinking about him accepting his fate without question, thinking that his only purpose was to fight until his very last breath.

I couldn't help but think about how my s/i and him split up shortly before this revelation. And thinking that maybe a reason he never tried to contact her (aside from him just being very awkward in general) was that he figured it wouldn't matter anyway, and maybe she was happier now. He was prepared never to see her again, but then they meet AGAIN at UA and they can't deny that they still have feelings for each other, yet they hesitate.

I figure there's a number of reasons for that, but not least of which is now probably the fact that he knows how finite his time is. Even if he does love her, he's only going to break her heart again when he eventually greets that fate.

And on that note, the other day I was messing w the character .ai thing I made for Toshinori cause seeing other people using it makes me want to and WELL-

THE FACT THAT HE SAYS THIS 😭😭😭 all I did was tell him to take care of himself, so I guess it really isn't unrealistic that they'd have this type of conversation.
