Hidden Gems by @dracogotgame
I’ve loved DGG ever since I first read my all-time favourite Christmas fic which I revisit religiously every year because it soothes my heart with the most gorgeous hurt/comfort vibes 🎄 I’ve been following their work for quite a while and I just can’t believe how prolific they are! There’s so much to explore between shorts, drabbles and medium-long stories, and you’ll be delighted to find out they tend to prioritize light crack and sexy fluff that always manage to hit my buttons. I guarantee you’ll have lots of fun going through their catalogue (and they’re so incredible they even did a masterlist, how cool is that!!!). I had the hard job to go and make a short selection encompassing all that talent. In the end I went for my personal faves that could use some extra buzz, here you’ll find only comfort food, light, soft and charming. DGG has been around for so long I feel like they helped shape a big part of my Drarry experience so this is my humble way to show appreciation for everything they’re done (and still do!) for the fandom. Happy readings!
Resolutions and Revelry (2014, E, 2k) - sexy and hilarious Auror partners PWP, I love this premise and the ending is just brilliant 😂
Harry finds a list in Draco's office.
The Helping Hand (2018, T, 2k) - hilarious Auror shenanigans with lots of cute flirting banter, this one always makes me smile
Harry Potter has a serious problem with asking for help. Draco Malfoy has a serious problem with stubborn Aurors.
Breaking the Law (2018, E, 3k) - delicious role play fic with hot Auror Harry, public sex and a bit of bondage and spanking because we deserve it 🔥
Draco runs into a little trouble with Auror Potter. Read my rec here.
Eighteen Again (2015, T, 6.6k) - the gentlest break up/make up with soft pining Draco, Healer Harry and a gorgeous, heartfelt reunion. Peak flangst, I love!
Draco gets a note from an old friend. Does Harry have more on his mind than just a friendly get together?
Magic Man (2016, M, 8k) - I love this concept! Down & out magician Draco living in the Muggle world and Harry being in awe of him is everything I need pls and thank
Draco has been exiled to live in the Muggle World, where he's actually doing alright as an amateur stage magician. Harry has been tasked to determine if he's using real magic to enhance his performances. Read my rec here.
Surviving Summer (2013, M, 15k) - really fun and cute family fic with older married Drarry navigating chaotic summer hols with the kids. Full of banter and sweet romance, plus portrait!Snape is always a win!
It wasn't going to be easy managing four teenagers over the summer hols. But it was definitely going to be worth it.
The Bodyguards (2014, T, 51k) - very exciting and creative AU with tons of world building and great OCs! The drarry chemistry is delicious and I love their dynamics on the job, such a cool idea to partner them up like this!
Harry and Draco are brought together for a seemingly dull security mission. Things however, are not as they seem.

This, in and of itself, is far from unusual three semesters into one Eric Bittle's tenure as the unofficial bakemeister of Samwell Hockey. In fact, on such a lovely Sunday afternoon in early December, it might even be expected. Really, there's no cause for alarm. Except for the fact that Bitty's not here." Original rec.

It’s the opposite of a panic attack, though it leaves her with the same dry mouth and racing pulse.” Am I reccing my own Christmas fic? YOU BET I AM.
If The Fates Allow, by lavellington, 6.9k, Teen and up, Dirk/Todd "Dirk was familiar with Christmas in theory but not practice. Todd and Farah were happy to go along for the ride." Original rec.

He felt certain he could love this man through every view, from any side of before or after." Original rec.

Heart of Lead Update 6/6/18
Hi all! Happy pride month. I’m finally free of my behemoth junior year, and that means SO much more time to write! As some of you may know, I have been planning for Heart of Lead draft 3 since.... like.... January? Really, it’s been that long? My notes appear to say so, anyway. This draft will be a complete rewrite with some huge structural changes. I’m already over 2k words in, and I will be writing every day (!!!!) over the next three weeks. Then I’m off to a memoir workshop in July, and back at the novel grind in August.
I know my tumblr has been sparse on info during these planning months, since I didn’t have much time to blog outside of school and standardized test prep. So here’s what I’ve racked up: over forty handwritten pages of notes, a 3k word planning and outline document, over 10k words in writing journal studies, and 8k words of a novella for Dale and Charles to flesh out some pre-HoL character stuff. Whew. That’s a lot. I’m proud of that work; it took time, but I think it will make draft three a lot better.
How about I give ya some Lost Letters excerpts? That’s the novella, and I honestly like it way too much for a warm up project. Lol.
Here’s one from Dale’s first chapter:
The carriage pulled up between the Academy gates. Then, I leaned forward to take inventory. It wasn’t quite what I’d expected: what hallowed, hideous halls, what smooth and white wedding-cake slabs of buildings. The campus was an even sheet of plastic green. The students on the grass wore crisp, bright doll clothing and moved like marionettes.
And one from Charles’ (”she” is Cecelia: his sister, my baby):
“Good.” She leaned forward and kissed me on the cheek. She squeezed my left hand with her right, connecting the ten fingers between us that were still flesh and blood and free of Glamour. “Come back wiser, won’t you?”
“I’ll learn as much as I can.”
“And not just from your books,” she said, patting me on the shoulder.
College and stuff. Oh boy.
Heart of Lead tag list: @teacup-universes, @adorhauer, @pigeonbooks, @kaylewiswrites, and @vesperbryan. Please lmk if you want to be added or taken off the list; no pressure either way, I promise. Also, some of you might want to be tagged only in polished character shorts and excerpt posts rather than simple updates like these, and that’s cool too- just tell me what’s good for you, and I’ll make it happen. Love ya :D

Hi! I've honestly never commented or messaged an author - I've always been a little nervous to. I just wanted to let you know how much I love Hold On Loosely - I don't even know how many times I've reread it. I have a soft spot for biker!Steve, and I love your portrayal of him and the reader. I absolutely love this series, and I'm sad that you feel discouraged about the series - it is amazing, and so are you!! Thank you again for all of the hard work you have put into this story ❤
Wow, I really appreciate this!! I hope I didn't make you feel pressured to send this. I am a little discouraged with the lack of responce HOL has been getting but I'm not upset about it. I understand that some people are nervous to comment or communicate with authors and I dont want anyone to feel like I'm expecting a reaction just for reading it.
I'm rushing the end of this series because I'm worried people don't like it anymore. I have near 100 people that I'm tagging every chapter and recently I can barely break 50 notes and that's with me reblogging a bunch.
When I first posted, chapter one got over 200 notes, which was super encouraging, but very quickly that engagement dropped.
I'm not sad or angry, this is just how tumblr goes. I have almost 3k followers and maybe 20 of you actually see my stuff. I also, realize that Tumblr is not alerting some of the people I'm tagging. So, yeah, when I look at the numbers, I get discouraged but it's really okay.
I can't thank you enough for sending me this ask. It was super sweet of you and a lovely thing to wake up to. I really appreciate hearing how much you've enjoyed it but I hope you didnt think you had to for my sake.
