i like to think that years down the line, everyone in NYC just. gets used to Godzilla. the city is his house, after all. also like i said, he's actually pretty careful when moving around the buildings

people are like "how can you live there?" "what do you mean?" "with... you know..." "oh, Godzilla? he's like our city mascot now. he's fought off other mutants before. my aunt once got to pet him when he was taking a nap in central park. the scientists who adopted him used to have to feed him themselves, but the city eventually allocated funds to get him enough fish. i dunno if that's a great way to prioritize the budget, but the local fisherman were happy to get paid for feeding him instead of having him steal fish from them. anyway, he's a big softie. he likes to sit on the empire state building and stargaze."

just. eventually everyone's like "this is OUR big mutated iguana."

there's some debate about how a lot of tourists now come to NYC to see him, and eventually HEAT had to hire someone to set up a safe way for people to observe him without upsetting him

I loved working on this. It was basically our take on “Destroy All Monsters”.
