Gluncle Mike AU
Glam Mike AU where Evan and Elizabeth live.
The Afton kids have a strained relationship because Michael sometimes pushed things too far when he was a young and stupid teenager. Once Michael and his friends are stopped just before putting Evan's head in the animatronic's mouth because Elizabeth got their dad things just get worse. Evan and Elizabeth do nothing to defend him as their father kicks Michael out for what tried to do.
It's not until Evan and Elizabeth are in their twenties that they meet again, Michael desperately trying to ask for their help. It's not until he pulls up his shirt that they start to listen.
After some explanations and closer looks at Michael that will haunt their nightmares, they agree to help. Cue several years of them gathering information on the animatronics, finding William, bringing Henry into the mix, and setting a trap. During that time they get closer and become friends before finally being the siblings they always wanted to be.
Which just makes it hurt that much more when Michael says he wants to burn with the others. It's not fair! They just got to know him and now he's leaving!? Making him stay wouldn't be fair either though. His body has been slowly rotting over the years and he's in constant pain, he's tired and deserves to rest more than anyone.
Skip to years later when Evan has a son named Gregory. If Evan didn't know any better he'd think Michael had come back just to make his life difficult again with the trouble this kid gets into. Evan does everything he can to make sure Gregory never had anything to do with the family business or history, but of course that doesn't work out.
Evan wakes up one morning to find a dirty and banged-up Gregory with a Freddy animatronic that somehow looks even worse. Oh, he hopes Uncle Henry still has some pull with the company, because he doesn't want to find out what happens if they get caught with a stolen animatronic. Evan isn't sure if he should be touched his son got attached to the same type that used to be his favorite or freak that the one that nearly bit his head off is walking around on its own.
When Elizabeth finds out she just laughs. Stealing an entire animatronic? If only Michael were here, he'd be so proud. When she finds out about Gregory repeatedly crawling and hiding in Freddy's stomach hatch it doesn't seem funny anymore.
Michael's memories are kind of scrambled between coming back from the dead a second time, this time after being burned, and conflicting with Freddy's AI. So Freddy has no idea how he keeps confusing Gregory for Evan, a literal adult. Whenever Freddy does or says something rude/sarcastic after living with them for a few days Evan scolds Gregory for being a bad influence. Gregory defends himself that starting the fire was Freddy's idea and Evan's brain just stops as he starts to consider something.

More Gluncle Mike AU
As Ruin happens Gregory hearing Cassie in trouble takes his dad and Freddy to help. They find Bonnie along the way and can't get Freddy to leave his friend's side until they promise to come back for him when they leave. Since Bonnie is barely functional and can't move anyway they take some of his parts to help the others. Freddy promises to get him brand-new parts later.
They make emergency repairs to the others while finding Cassie and team up to take down the mimic. Freddy got to hit it with a metal pipe a few times before they set it on fire. They're all going home together, though DJ Music Man is too big to be moved so his memory card is taken and moved to a mini Music Man. Sorry about the downsizing buddy, we'll customize you into a slightly bigger body once we get home and everyone else is taken care of.
So chances are everyone who knows about William is kind of uncomfortable around animatronic rabbits right? The one who knew about Michael found it so odd that Freddy's so close to a Bonnie.
Do you know what would make it even more fun though?
Make Bonnie the type of person to casually flirt. Evan is not even entertaining the idea of his older brother dating an animatronic rabbit. Evan really should have known better than to let Freddy see it bothered him because the "mess with younger sibling" instincts are kicking in hard. Freddy is flirting back just to mess with Evan. This continues for several days until Freddy gets bored of it.
Freddy gains other traits from Michael and uses them to get along better with the others. Since William was an awful dad Michael probably learned to cook for Evan and Elizabeth, so Freddy has cooking lessons with Chica. Michael being a bit of a …delinquent has Freddy roughhousing with Monty and showing him some proper fighting moves and blocks. Freddy explains some of the things that might frighten or startle a child to Eclipse, Sun, and Moon, though he doesn't explain how he knows. With Roxanne, Freddy asks for a makeover because his design and colors don't feel like him anymore. He also explains to her that he can't help but feel like the others want him to be someone else but he's not sure who. He's afraid of failing and letting them down.

Gluncle Mike: Cassie's dad
So first I have no idea what to call him, suggestions are welcomed. Second, this will be playing heavily into Cassie's dad is the one wearing the Bonnie mask theory.
Cassie's dad and Michael used to be close, Michael jokingly saying at times he wished they were brothers instead of him and Evan. This made Cassie's dad feel so guilty when he distanced himself from Michael after rumors started spreading about William throwing him out after trying to kill his brother.
He felt awful abandoning his best friend but he just couldn't risk his parents finding out he was a part of it. He just had to wait until things calmed down and he could apologize. He knew Michael would forgive him.
Then the news spread of William being responsible for the death of the missing children. Some people believed Michael knew and was even in on it. Cassie's dad didn't want to believe it, but thinking back to what could have happened with Evan… Cassie's dad never talked to Michael again.
Years later Cassie's dad was picking up Cassie from first grade early. It would seem she had gotten into a fight with another child. Walking into the principal's office he was shocked to see a little boy that looked a lot like a young Evan. Even more surprised to see him and Cassie just getting along now. Instantly becoming friends after trying to knock the other's head off. Thinking back to how he and Michael met, Cassie's dad can't help but think history does repeat itself.
Ten minutes later the other parent comes on and that deer in the headlights expression upon seeing him is one Cassie's dad will never forget. Gregory is the spitting image of his dad. Looking at recent events it looks like he's spending way too much time with his uncle though, he's rubbing off on the kid. It's good to know they were able to mend their relationship, maybe there's still hope for him and Michael yet.
They all leave and Cassie's dad asks how Mike is once they reach the parking lot. Cassie's dad gives Evan a confused look when Gregory asks who Mike is. Evan gives the saddest look as he says Michael died a few years before Gregory was born. Cassie's dad feels a weight in his stomach and swallows past a lump as he says he is sorry for Evan'd loss.
Evan says it's fine. Michael was …sick, and in a lot of pain. He deserved to rest.
The two of them become friends by exposure from all the playdates Gregory and Cassie have. Telling stories of what happened over the years, and sharing stories of Michael. Evan eventually tells Cassie's dad what happened to Michael. He believed Evan, but the pictures just made it so much more real.
Cassie's dad finds another job and quits his job as a technician for Fazbear Entertainment. He just couldn't work there anymore knowing what they hid and how many people it hurt. He swore to himself he was never going to work on another animatronic ever again.
Evan calls him only a few months later about needing his help. Gregory had stolen an animatronic and the thing is kind of banged up. He didn't even mention it was a Freddy. Cassie's dad is starting to think Evan is a lot more like Michael than he thought.
Cassie's dad shooing away the others so he can at least work in peace. Except before he starts Freddy gives him a strange look and calls him Bonnie. Cassie's dad freezing because he hadn't worn that thing in decades, how would Freddy- Oh no.

Gluncle Mike: Help Wanted 2
Finally got caught up on the game and some theories and now have some new ideas. Most of them are me considering a different end with Cassie's dad in the AU.
For the most part, the stuff I had with Cassie's dad would stay the same. He and Mike were close when they were younger but he was scared of what people would think of him and Mike being friends, reconnecting with Evan when Cassie and Gregory become friends, Evan telling him what happened to Michael, etc.
In this path, that's why he started working as a technician. This way he can work on the animatronics and constantly check if there's any unexplained behavior or …surprises inside. If William is as persistent as they say he is, and Michael isn't here to try to stop him, it's up to them to fend him off. There's no running away this time.
Cassie's dad going through the trouble of getting the figures and putting them together because Helpy says it'll help bring Mike back. Helpy who Michael put somewhere safe from the fire. Helpy knew that Michael would come back if his father did. Helpy knew chances were it would end badly for Cassie's dad and so many other people, but Helpy just missed Michael so much.
It does end badly for Cassie's dad and he ends up in the mask bot. The absolute pain of being forced to give his daughter that mask in Ruin.
When Gregory, Freddy, and the others are gathering the other animatronics on the way back after defeating the mimic and probably some kind of rabbit for the hundredth time Freddy sees the mask bot. He doesn't know who it is, but he can see that someone is in there, so they're coming with him.
There are a couple of ways this can go after.
A. Glamrock Bonnie was beyond repair, AI unsalvageable. The Endo and parts that they could use being used to make a new Bonnie that note holds Cassie's dad. A lot easier to move and talk but Bonnie might not be his favorite anymore.
B. They just use some spare Bonnie parts to make a new Bonnie. Now there are two of them. Evan hates it, but Freddy is now a bear that has two Bonnies and he will never let anything happen to either of them.
Either way, Cassie's dad was surprised at how well Evan took finding out it was him. What do you mean Michael is possessing Freddy? Are we looking at the same bear? He's letting Gregory ride on his shoulders, Evan!
They also bring back Helpy and Cassie's dad hates the little rat, but if what Evan said is true it has kept its promise. Loathe as Cassie's dad is to admit it, he did it to himself. It's not like Helpy forced him to do anything. If it tries anything again though, Cassie's dad is dropping a bowling ball on it.

Gluncle Mike random thought
So you know the theories of Vanessa being some kind of replacement for Elizabeth? I just realized since Elizabeth is still alive in this AU she could actually be Vanessa! Just using a fake name and a security guard position to investigate the pizzaplex. Someone has to do it now that Michael is gone and Evan has Gregory to take care of.
So Gregory trying to keep Vanessa from finding him could be him just not wanting his dad to find out and he knows Elizabeth will snitch, or she's infected with the virus. Gregory going to the pizzaplex to look for his aunt because it's been days, maybe even weeks, since they've heard from her. Now he has to try to save her while also keeping himself alive. At least Freddy is here to help.
So Elizabeth now has to explain to Evan that not only was Dad back and somehow controlling her, but she kind of tried to kill Gregory. Also, they stole Freddy and burned down the pizzaplex. Evan? Evan please stop looking at her like that and say something.

So I've been thinking about my Gluncle Mike AU and had a thought. What if Michael used to remember but was later wiped and buried under the AI and code to the point he just couldn't find himself anymore in the mess?
Bonus points if it was Elizabeth who did it. Using the idea of her being Vanessa, using an alias to investigate like Michael used to, and getting infected by the virus. She could find out about Michael being back, and they could even have a touching reunion talking about bringing Evan and his son. Michael is so excited about being an uncle.
Then Elizabeth is forced to take that all away. Effectively erasing her brother after she just got him back. Seeing Freddy walking around and knowing somewhere in there is what used to be Michael. She hates how happy he always seems to see her, even if she knows it's just the programming. She can never let Evan find out about this.
The other animatronics would all be upset about the sudden change in Freddy. They just can't understand why the company did it! Freddy was amazing. He treated them all like family and the kids and parents all loved him. There was no reason to take away what made Freddy so… Freddy!
Before he would help Roxy with her makeup. Growing up with a little sister and then trying to cover up the fact he was a rotting corpse meant he had plenty of experience and personal tricks. Roxy always looked her best after Freddy did her makeup and she wouldn't let anyone else do it.
After they "fixed" him Freddy didn't know blush from eyeshadow anymore. No one else met her standards.
Cassie's dad also grew up sometimes having to deal with Michael's little sister being demanding and now had a daughter of his own did seem to find close. He had the "honor" of doing Roxy's makeup and always getting a "it'll have to be good enough."
Freddy understood Monty wasn't dangerous. Sure he was big, strong, and had a bit of a temper at times, but he never turned it on anyway. Freddy even tried to help him find healthier ways to let out that anger. Once the "real" Freddy was gone that all went out the window. Just like the table through the window of his room.
Freddy would always visit Eclipse. Letting them feel like more than just "the daycare attendant" even though he wasn't a member of the band and would talk to them about their day. When "something went wrong during maintenance" Freddy got to know Sun and Moon as their own people. It wasn't until Freddy was "gone" that Moon started to really deteriorate.
Freddy used to sneak leftovers from birthday parties for Chica in his stomach hatch. If she wanted to eat food then she was going to eat fresh. She deserved better than eating out of the trash.
Freddy always seemed nervous about Bonnie at first. Once he got to know Bonnie they were close friends. When Freddy came back… different Bonnie did his best to still be there for Freddy. It was something Freddy always appreciated and they were closer than ever.
Once Bonnie disappeared, Freddy could understand why the others looked at him how they did. Freddy doesn't know how he could stand having a walking-talking reminder his friend is gone.

Gluncle Mike: Help Wanted 2 redo
Yeah, I didn't really like it that much.
So probably keep everything I did with the original Cassie's dad post. Help Wanted 2 happening after Ruin here. Ignore the normal ending so no dying and just keep the secret ending.
The one thing I'll be keeping from the old help wanted idea 2 idea is Cassie's dad is trying to piece together Michael with Helpy's assistance using the VR game. As well as all other animatronics that are still at varying levels of corruption because of the virus. Cassie's dad is looking through some of their old behaviors and programming being acted out in the game to see if he can find the core of the infection to delete it permanently while also piecing back together the animatronics AIs and filling in any damage.
Once they were virus-free and a lot more themselves the animatronics would be a lot easier to fix up without getting mauled. Who knows, maybe have them eventually fix up the Pizzaplex once the animatronics are fixed. Let Eclipse finally take care of the children again. Plus it would be a lot less crowded than keeping them in a house. Less money-grabbing with Evan, Elizabeth, and Cassie's Dad running things.
