What is the connection between Exeter ‘Change and The Crescent, Buxton, Derbyshire?

Momentum festival to host more than 20 Labour MPs

Momentum’s festival as part of the Labour Party conference fringe will host more than 20 Labour MPs alongside internationally acclaimed campaigners, thinkers and artists. 
Labour MPs speaking at the festival include the Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell; Norwich South MP Clive Lewis; Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott; the newly elected MP for Kensington Emma Dent Coad; Shadow Health Secretary Jon Ashworth; newly elected MP for North West Durham Laura Pidcock, as well as Lord John Prescott and Baroness Shami Chakrabarti.
The World Transformed will also host internationally acclaimed campaigners, thinkers and artists including author and environmentalist Naomi Klein; academic and writer David Harvey; hip hop artist and activist Lowkey; Guardian columnist and author Owen Jones; Bernie Sanders campaigner Winnie Wong; WWII veteran and writer Harry Leslie Smith; award winning jazz musician Soweto Kinch; journalist Abi Wilkinson; journalist and author Rachel Shabi; and educator Barby Asante, with more to be announced soon.
Expected to attract more than 6000 visitors over four days and spanning nine venues across the city, Momentum’s city wide festival will be the largest and most expansive fringe event alongside Labour Party conference in recent memory.
Organiser Anastasia Palikeras said: “This year’s World Transformed programme will have even more Labour MPs alongside internationally acclaimed writers, artists, campaigners and activists, reflecting the growing diversity and strength of our movement. For us the key focus is on building on the success of Labour’s general election campaign and preparing for the challenges that lie ahead by discussing the ideas that will transform our world.”
