GLEE - Dark Side (Full Performance) (Official Music Video)
In Season 4, Episode 7 of Glee, Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) and the Warblers covered Kelly Clarkson’s song “Dark Side.”
The New Directions Nationals trophy is stolen by Hunter Clarington (Nolan Gerard Funk), the new captain of the Dalton Academy Warblers. Blaine goes to Dalton to retrieve it. There, Hunter and Sebastian Smythe (Grant Gustin) attempt to convince Blaine to return to the Warblers. After singing "Dark Side" with them, Blaine becomes conflicted about his future.

Not to be confused with the showstopping Las Vegas revue where Ann-Margaret kicked her heels, this was a notorious massage parlor in West Hollywood.
Located on the site of the Gerard Theatrical Agency ("topless dancers"), the upscale place for men to unwind was operated by Mark Roy.
A former Arthur Murray dance instructor, Roy married Judalon Smyth in 1981 at a ceremony in Griffth Park.
Smyth crossed paths later in life with Dr. Leon Jerome Oziel; sex therapist to the Menendez Brothers.
Writing about Mark Roy, author Gay Talese wrote, "He occupied a large three-story house half a block south of Sunset. The house had a parking lot for eighty cars. Like Caesar's Retreat in New York, the Circus Maximus had a decor that evoked Roman hedonism. Its thirty masseuses wore purple, gold, or white crepe mini gowns. And his motto proclaimed: "Men have not had such a good time since the days of Pompeii."
Anyway, the place for love and warmth opened around 1970 and was shut down in the mid-1980s when local ordinances, led by Police Chief Daryl F. Gates, clamped down on massage parlor hours.
Gates enacted a sting operation known as "Express West" and cited the popular Grecian hangout as a house of prostitution, noting the parlor took in around $8000 daily.
Gates mentioned it was important to take action to help clean up the city in time for the Olympics.
By 1985, the parlor, then calling itself a health spa, was ultimately evicted by the landlord who owned the 1200 block of North La Cienega

There was blood on the saddle
and a cry of lament in the rooms of the house –
a cry they heard in the next parish,

the sound of loss in a dying language.
The horse came back but not the rider
who in his haste forgot that the long grass
could hide a sorrow-maker –
the one whose high noon bullet would pass
through the heart of the oral tradition,
killing the horseman but not the horse
that galloped back to the stable yard
and Eileen waiting, the Queen of Keening
whose youthful beauty left no trace
in the days of her long siesta,
when every dream was a playback of the scene
when the horse came back but not the rider.

consumed by the light -
the phosphorous light of the table lamp.
The ring on your finger, the thought in your eye
have a lustre that's identical.
I glance upwards: the cross with its unmourned
Christ reminds me that the word Love
is about preparing to die ... The dead
is the sepia photograph of my parents' wedding
look happy. The house fills up
with their perfect calm.
To pass time I imagine the ghost-life
to which they've vanished.

On a plain piece of bread.
It will catch you with its steel grip
By the throat.
Then lick blood off your face
As if it were Tomato Puree.
When an Armed Guard is
Delivering money and prisoners,
It will cut you in two
With a sawn off shotgun.
And charge your soul
Airfreight to Heaven or Hell,
It will drive an ice pick
Into the centre of your brain
Then order a round of cocktails
For its mentally deranged friends.
