Galaxy S25 Series Rumors: Bigger Screen, Refined Bezels?
Tumblr media
Galaxy S25 rumors The S25 Galaxy, Samsung’s next big phone, is coming soon. The company’s next flagship phones will be the best, but we’re still a while off. To remain among the greatest Android phones, we expect the Galaxy S25 to make all the required iterative improvements. Considering the Galaxy S24’s Galaxy AI features, Samsung will likely add more attractive AI-powered features on the Galaxy S25.
We want to see the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and leaks have started revealing what to expect. We’ve covered the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra here.
Samsung Galaxy S25 release date History shows that Samsung introduces its flagship series in January or February. At Galaxy Unpacked on January 17, 2024, the Galaxy S24 was revealed and released on January 31, 2024. Based on it, we expect the S25 Galaxy to be announced and released in 2025 near those anniversaries.
Samsung announced the Galaxy S24 a week sooner than the Galaxy S23, so it will be fascinating to see whether they do so again for the Galaxy S25. That could conflict with its previous CES 2025 announcements.
Samsung Galaxy S25 price Galaxy S25 cost shouldn’t vary much. The Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra cost $799, $999, and $1,299, respectively, with the S24 Ultra increasing in price from the previous year. The Galaxy S25‘s pricing should stay the same unless Apple raises the iPhone 16’s price later this autumn.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY OF THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S25 Increasing the Galaxy S25’s display size is one quick method Samsung might make a big design change. The screen of the S25 Galaxy, according to well-known leaker Yeux1122, will grow from the 6.2 inches of the Galaxy S24 to a somewhat larger 6.36 inches. This would essentially equal the rumoured higher display size of the iPhone 16 Pro. We believe that because Samsung reduced the bezels on the S24 compared to the S23, the phone itself would be slightly bigger than the S23, mostly to accommodate the larger screen.
The Galaxy S25‘s overall design should be recognizable, with the possible exception of a bigger display. This means that the titanium frame should remain exclusive to the S25 Ultra, while the S25 and S25 Plus should have the same Armour aluminium frame. However, when more leaks surface, there’s still a good chance that things will change.
Samsung made a point of noting how the three Galaxy S24 variants feature panels with a brightness of 2,600 nits. But none of them even came close to living up to their claims in benchmark testing. That won’t stop the business, though, from making this one specific feature better with the Galaxy S25.
The Mura effect on the Galaxy S24, which results in a clouding effect when the display’s brightness is lowered, is a display problem that Samsung cannot afford to encounter again. We confirmed that the Mura effect was produced by both the Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra by testing this out.
Performance of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset may enhance Galaxy S25 speed, according to early leaks. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, which are expected to exceed 4GHz, may power the Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S25 may have an advantage over its competition due to Qualcomm’s purportedly 3-nanometer manufacturing process for its next-gen chip.
The Galaxy S24’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, which clocks in at 3.3GHz, is a source of excitement. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 should boost power and efficiency. The Galaxy S24 series improved battery life significantly.
The Galaxy S25 may use the Exynos 2500 instead of Qualcomm technology, according to a rumour. That seems unlikely, especially since a later source indicated Samsung will employ the Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in the Galaxy S25. Another Galaxy S24-like move.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra The Galaxy S23 Ultra topped the 2023 best camera phones list, proving Samsung’s photography dominance. That changed with the Galaxy S24’s contentious downgrade to a 5x optical zoom camera in the S24 Ultra.
With the zoom test, there was a discernible difference between the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra, thus Samsung will need to do better than this with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The initial reports present a tempting image, suggesting that it will receive an improved primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera (instead of the S24 Ultra’s 12MP one), and a new telephoto camera with “variable capabilities.”
The Galaxy S24 Ultra was rumoured to experience the latter, but the S25 Ultra seems like a more fitting option. It could imply, on the one hand, that we have a telephoto camera that is flexible in terms of zoom, but it could also signify something else. Consider the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s variable aperture, which has the ability to be adjusted to multiple levels. Since the Ultra has long been known for its zooming capabilities, we sincerely hope Samsung can live up to the hype in this regard.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus Regarding the cameras on the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, there are less rumours at this time. One of the few signs that Samsung would be moving from the ISOCELL camera sensor it was previously using to a Sony one. Whatever becomes a reality, Samsung cannot afford to lose to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is currently atop the list of the greatest camera phones.
Battery and charging for the Samsung Galaxy S25 In particular, assuming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s claimed power efficiency holds true, the Galaxy S25 might shatter existing records. The Galaxy S24’s three variants all easily have significantly longer battery lives than their predecessors, and since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is allegedly being built using a 3-nanometer manufacturing method, the Galaxy S25 may have even longer battery lives.
At minimum, the Galaxy S25 should have the S24’s battery capacity. Samsung’s flagship series has been said to include stacked batteries, but the S25 isn’t likely to acquire them.
Phone charging needs improvement. Samsung has preserved the Galaxy S24’s 25W wired charging speed, so an update for the Galaxy S25 would be huge. That’s because the S24 Plus and Ultra have 45W wired charging. The OnePlus 12 proves that a phone can be fully charged in 30 minutes, thus the S25 series has even more room to improve charging.
And lastly, as the Galaxy S9 only supported 15W wireless charging, Samsung will also need to increase the wireless charging speed in the Galaxy S25 series. Now that the OnePlus 12 boasts an absurd 50W wireless charging speed, an update is well overdue.
Galaxy AI Features on the Samsung Galaxy S25 With the S24, Samsung unveiled a few Galaxy AI features; with the S25, the company will need to develop even more. Numerous functions of Galaxy AI, such as Instant Slow-mo, Generative Edit, and Voice Recorder Summaries, have been put to the test by us, and the results show that many of them have real-world uses. Still, some people teeter on the brink of novelty.
Although a Samsung executive mentioned the idea of integrating generative AI capabilities into the Bixby personal assistant, no leaks have been released regarding the new Galaxy AI features that the Galaxy S25 may bring. But everyone is wondering if they would only be available on the S25 Galaxy or if they will be added to earlier versions. This is due to a software update that brings many of the Galaxy AI features of the Galaxy S24 which were previously exclusive to older Samsung phones.
With the S25 Galaxy, Samsung faces a formidable opponent. Its flagship phones are undoubtedly under more pressure because, when the Galaxy S24’s processing power and battery life are taken out of the picture, the improvements are negligible at best. This is especially true now that the S23 has access to the same Galaxy AI functions. Larger improvements to the Galaxy S25’s cameras and charging times are even more crucial.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Release date, Price, Specs
Tumblr media
Update, August 29, 2023 : We have updated the Samsung Galaxy S24 series rumor hub with more details about the S24 Ultra’s display and storage specs. the Galaxy S24 is definitely coming our way, Possibly in late January or early February 2024, Samsung's blockbuster success will arrive on the Android scene, with a release to the market following two to three weeks later. Naturally, the Galaxy S24 will be offered alongside the less interesting but more reasonably priced Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24. What would distinguish the Galaxy S24 from its predecessors as a significant improvement? With the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 , Samsung appears to have found its stride, so we shouldn't anticipate any significant changes in either the hardware or the functionality of these devices. However, we anticipate more of the same, i.e. significant advancements across the board. Everything there is to know about the Galaxy S24 will be condensed in this page, which will be updated as new information becomes available.
Galaxy S24 release date
Based on the release dates of previous Galaxy flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will most likely be announced by Samsung around late January or early February 2024. Based on the bulk of previous Galaxy flagship releases, Samsung currently tends to unveil its new flagships around late January or early February, providing the firm a significant advantage over its primary competitors. Currently, we don't expect Samsung to deviate from this established release window. Thus, we expect the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus to get announced sometime in late January or early February 2024, with a market release a couple of weeks later, most likely in February or possibly early March 2024. Of course, all of those notions are based on our expectations, so there could be changes here as well.
Galaxy S24 price
Samsung is not anticipated to increase pricing and release a more costly Galaxy S24 . The price of the Galaxy S23 was as stated, and we anticipate that it will stay that way. ModelPriceGalaxy S23+$999 (256 GB), $1119 (512GB)Galaxy S23$799 (128 GB), $859 (256GB)Galaxy S24+$999 (256 GB), $1119 (512GB)*Galaxy S24$799 (128 GB), $859 (256GB)*
Galaxy S24 camera features and specs
Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 probably employs a quad-camera configuration once more. The primary camera will undoubtedly work in tandem with an -wide, two telephoto, one of which is a periscope, and two telephoto lenses, offering the most amount of versatility in the top Android flagship category. Additionally, the 200MP camera sensor, which made its debut with the Galaxy S23 , is unquestionably returning. Why? It's basically a really untapped platform with a lot more to offer in the upcoming years, and this camera has the potential to excel thanks to all the hardware, software, and image processing advancements that Samsung will probably make. We are certain that Samsung will rely on this specific 200MP 1/1.13" ISOCELL HP2 sensor for a number of forthcoming flagship generations due to its enormous untapped potential, f/1.7 aperture, OIS, 85-degree field of view, and Quad PD autofocus. The current opinion in the rumour mill is that the Galaxy S24/Galaxy S24 Plus will not revolutionise the photographic experience on Samsung's regular flagship phones. According to tipster Revegnus, the Galaxy S24y will retain the same 50MP Samsung GN3 camera sensor that has been utilised on numerous prior models. In terms of the camera architecture of the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, it's very reasonable to believe that both will use triple-camera setups, teaming a 50MP wide-angle with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP short telephoto lens that measures approximately 10MP, exactly like their predecessors. Despite the lack of significant hardware advancements in the image department, the quality difference between the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 series was rather noticeable.
Galaxy S24 storage options
Even in the base model, a true flagship should have a large amount of storage. Similar to the Galaxy S23 , the Galaxy S24 would likely include 256GB of internal storage as a starting point, 512GB as a standard, and 1TB as the top-of-the-line option. The latter is undoubtedly more expensive, but it may accommodate all the pictures and movies you intend to capture with the phone. Galaxy S24 storage capacity: - 256 GB - 512 GB - 1 TB
Galaxy S24 design
Is Samsung about to release the Galaxy S24 with a significant design update? Although we wouldn't anticipate it, you never know. The Galaxy S24 will undoubtedly have a lot of similarities to the preceding Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 , despite the fact that the design rumor mill is currently silent on that front. It is reasonable to anticipate that there will be some minor changes and touch-ups. So, anticipate a super-premium Victus 2 flagship with a S Pen and a mostly flat design made of Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass. The 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display is unlikely to enlarge or decrease in size, therefore we don't expect any changes in the total size of the phone.
Galaxy S24 display features and specs
Like its predecessors, the Galaxy S24 will most likely have a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, as was already announced. Additionally, the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S22 had a common display panel, thus it's reasonable to assume that the Galaxy S24 will be an update. Apple uses the greatest OLED screens from Samsung Display in its most recent iPhones, but not on the Galaxy S , which is absolutely strange and illogical to behold. Those screens provide remarkable brightness and efficiency; ideally, the Galaxy S24 display will be considerably more powerful. Apart from that, it is likely that the Galaxy S24 will feature the class-leading contrast, vibrancy, and overall color rendition that Samsung's flagship phone displays are known for, as well as a 3080 x 1440-pixel panel with a respectable 500ppi sharpness, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and those features. It looks like the Galaxy S24 may earn an even smoother 144Hz display, as opposed to its predecessor's 120Hz one, according to a new report. Even while it may sound like a significant improvement, there may not be much of a change. While the smoothness difference between 60Hz and 120Hz may be immediately noticed, the slight jump from 120Hz to 144Hz may not be as noticeable, as any gamer can tell you. As a result, it could be difficult for you to tell which is which. We don't anticipate seeing an under-display selfie camera on the Galaxy S24 , despite the fact that Samsung has phones with one; the image quality isn't yet on par with that of conventional selfie cameras. As a result, we anticipate the Galaxy S24 front will have a punch-hole for a front-facing camera. The under-display ultra sonic fingerprint reader, which has been a feature of Samsung flagships for years and is finally incredibly quick and precise, is another significant component that will be associated with the display.
Galaxy S24 battery and charging
Is it possible that the Galaxy S24 battery will be larger than the 5,000mAh one that powers the Galaxy S23 ? Yes, but it's a little improbable if the design stays the same and the phone doesn't get much thicker. Samsung could, of course, use a battery cell with a denser chemistry, but it's likely that they've already pushed it to the limit. Since a decade ago, Samsung has been attempting to develop solid-state batteries with increased energy efficiency, but thus far, nothing practical has appeared to have been accomplished. What about graphene, the miraculous substance hailed as the solution to batteries' problems? Although there have been amazing promises made about them as well, we wouldn't bet on the Galaxy S24 rocking one of those either. We'll presume for the time being that the Galaxy S24 will likewise ship with a 5,000mAh battery. Hopefully, the charging technology will go beyond the 45W rapid charging method that Samsung has employed on a couple flagship generations.
Galaxy S24 software features
We anticipate that One UI 6 or One UI 6.x, which is based on Android 14 and will be released in late summer 2023, will be included with the Galaxy S24 . We don't yet know what feature will be included, but soon we do, we'll let you know.
Galaxy S24 hardware and specs
It looks that Samsung and Qualcomm will continue their exclusive relationship for the following Galaxy top flagship phones well, given the growing number of rumors concerning the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU that might be found in the forthcoming Galaxy flagship. The good news for Exynos critics everywhere is that there may not be an Exynos version of that one. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be the only processor used to power the Galaxy S24 . But once more, we anticipate that Samsung will receive the VIP treatment and obtain a unique, slightly overclocked version of that chipset, which will probably run a little bit better than the "vanilla" version. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's design is still up in the air, although some rumors suggest that a new architecture with one primary core, five performance cores, and two efficiency cores may be used. This arrangement might enhance performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2's. According to some rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Gen 2 will have the same core architecture, consisting of a single prime, four performance, and three efficiency cores. Regarding RAM and storage, there will probably be two variants, with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM depending on the storage version. The phone's entry-level 256GB model is probably going to feature 8GB of memory, while the 512GB and 1TB models could have at least 12GB of RAM to accommodate any multitasking requirements. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, anticipated to be a major player in the smartphone market
Tumblr media
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, anticipated to be a major player in the smartphone market, brings several notable features and specifications. Here's a detailed overview: Galaxy S24 Models The series is expected to include different models, including the standard Galaxy S24, the S24 Plus, and the S24 Ultra. Each of these models will cater to different market segments with varying features and specifications. Design and Display
Tumblr media
While the exact design details remain speculative, the series is expected to continue Samsung's trend of sleek and robust designs. Display sizes and types will likely vary across the models, with the S24 Ultra expected to boast the largest and most advanced screen. Camera Capabilities One of the most significant upgrades in the Galaxy S24 series is expected to be in the camera department. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, for instance, is rumored to feature a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 10MP periscope lens. This represents a substantial improvement over its predecessors, aiming to offer superior photo and video quality. Processor and Performance The Galaxy S24 series may see a split strategy in terms of processors, with some regions receiving models powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and others with Samsung's Exynos 2400 chipset. This split strategy could affect the performance and battery efficiency of the devices in different markets. Memory and Storage Improvements in memory and storage are also expected. The base Galaxy S24 model may start with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, eliminating the lower tiers seen in previous models. This change aligns with the increasing demand for higher storage and memory capacities in flagship smartphones. Battery and Charging Battery capacity is another area of enhancement. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to include a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging, ensuring longer battery life and quicker recharge times. The standard Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are also expected to feature large batteries, with capacities of 4,000mAh and 4,900mAh, respectively. All models are likely to support wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. Connectivity and Additional Features The series is anticipated to support the latest connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ultra Wide Band. Additional features may include AI capabilities for adjustable brightness, adaptive sound, and adaptive refresh rate, enhancing the overall user experience. Release and Availability The launch of the Galaxy S24 series is expected soon, with rumors suggesting a release in early 2024. Exact dates and availability may vary by region. Pricing Pricing details are yet to be officially announced, but the series is expected to be positioned in the premium segment, competing with other flagship smartphones like the OnePlus 11 and the iPhone 14. As always, these details are based on leaks, rumors, and speculations, and the actual product may vary upon its official release. The comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S23 series reveals several updates and improvements, although some core features remain similar. Here's a detailed comparison based on the available information: Samsung Galaxy S24 VS Samsung Galaxy S23 Design and Build - Galaxy S23: A contemporary design with a glass back (Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2) and an aluminum frame. It features IP68 resistance to water and dust. - Galaxy S24: Expected to maintain a similar design ethos with subtle changes. The S24 Ultra is rumored to have a titanium chassis, which may affect its weight and pricing. The overall design is slightly altered, particularly at the bottom of the phone where the speaker grill and the S Pen have new designs. Display - Galaxy S23: Features a high-quality AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. - Galaxy S24: Similar high-quality display specifications are expected. Camera - Galaxy S23: Offers a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP 3X zoom telephoto lens. The S23 Ultra has a 200 MP main camera, two 10 MP telephoto lenses (one with 3x and another with 10x optical zoom), and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. - Galaxy S24: Expected to retain similar camera configurations. However, the S24 Ultra may replace the 10x telephoto lens with a 5x lens and the second telephoto lens may have a 12 MP sensor instead of 10 MP. Performance and Hardware - Galaxy S23: Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip worldwide. - Galaxy S24: Rumored to return to the split strategy of using Snapdragon processors (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) in the US and Exynos (Exynos 2400) in other regions. This could impact performance and battery life in different markets. RAM and storage configurations are expected to be similar to the S23 series, with some speculations about higher RAM in certain models. Battery and Charging - Galaxy S23: Comes with batteries ranging from 3,900 mAh to 5,000 mAh depending on the model. Supports 25W wired and 10W wireless charging. - Galaxy S24: Slightly larger batteries are expected. The S24 Plus, for instance, might have a 4,900 mAh battery (up from 4,700 mAh in the S23 Plus). Charging speeds are likely to remain the same. Software - Both Series: Run on Samsung's One UI interface. The S24 series is expected to debut with One UI 6 on top of Android 14, providing longer support for major OS and security updates compared to the S23 series Other Features - Biometrics: Both series rely on ultrasonic fingerprint scanners for security. - Audio and Haptics: No significant changes are expected in audio quality and haptic feedback between the two series Conclusion The Samsung Galaxy S24 series seems to bring incremental improvements over the S23 series, particularly in terms of processing power and battery life. The design remains relatively consistent with minor tweaks, and the camera system, while largely the same in hardware, might see improvements in image processing software. Users interested in the latest processor technology and marginally better battery life might find the S24 series appealing. However, those currently using the S23 series may not see a compelling reason to upgrade unless specific features of the S24 series cater to their unique needs. Read the full article
