I've been on a Get to Work kick recently, specifically playing in the medical career. The biggest pain in my plumbob has been the total lack of in-game resources to help doctors diagnose illnesses. EA basically just forces your Sims to run every single test, sometimes more than once, in an often unsuccessful attempt to get down to a single diagnosis.

With this mod, have your Doctor Sims use the "Research Health Reports on Medical Journal" interaction on a computer (or "Add New Studies Info to Medical Journal" at Levels 7+). Once the action is completed, a notification will pop up listing all eight illnesses and their possible symptoms! You can use it as a reference to observe and more quickly diagnose patients.

Do you ever ask yourself, "could I build a fortress in the Sims?" Because Xan did, and boy howdy, it was rough. But, that's what won the gift poll, so here we are! The Fortress comes with a moat, drawbridge, and about 30 rooms, including barracks, privies, guard towers, a chapel, stables, and the keep itself. And much, much more. Check out a breakdown of the floorplan here.

The Fortress is lightly furnished, exhaustively tested, and fully playable. There are also a couple secrets hidden around. Because what's the point of a build this size without a little intrigue? :3

Ah when Get to Work was released I couldn't have been happier. There are already a lot of great objects in the regular build/buy I used for my early scifi builds and the buydebug was the cherry on top.

An UFO! And the amazing glowing crater! I used these two objects a lot ^^'

Also - again - the plants!

There are also the seeds to grow the alien plants. They look amazing ingame. Especially when it's dark.

And all the clutter! Even the iconic mugshot plate! It's not that much for an Expansion but it contains very cool stuff.

Match Symptoms to Illnesses: "Examine Patient" Interaction for Doctors

Similar to my Research For Illness Symptoms mod, this mod gives you an in-game resource to help you and your Doctor Sims diagnose patients successfully! Unlike the previous mod, however, this one is much more intuitive and gameplay-friendly.

How to utilize this mod:

Note: You will not see this mod's features until your Sim is at Doctor career Level 4 or higher.

While your Level 4+ Doctor Sim is at work...

Focus in on a patient on an exam bed and watch them for symptoms. (Are they coughing? Do they present with a rash*? Are they dizzy? etc.)

When you've identified at least one symptom, click that patient and select "Examine Patient." Then choose a new menu option called "Match Symptoms to Illnesses."

Click the name of a symptom you've observed. A notification will pop up listing possible illnesses matching that symptom.

Only a few symptoms are guaranteed a single diagnosis! You'll have to continue to observe patients and have your Doctor Sim run tests to narrow down the possibilities.

While testing this mod, I used it as a reference 100% of the time, and successfully diagnosed 19 out of 20 patients. The information is there as a resource for you, so use it as much or as little as you'd like!
