Trump says world's 'biggest problem' is 'nuclear warming'
Tumblr media
Washington (The Times Groupe) – Former US President Donald Trump says the greatest threat to the world is nuclear warming, surpassing even global warming.
“Nobody talks about nuclear…the biggest problem we have in the whole world. It’s not global warming, it’s nuclear warming,” Trump told Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an interview that aired Tuesday night.
“And all it takes is one madman…and it’s only a matter of seconds. You don’t have to wait 200 to 300 years for it to happen,” Trump declared.
Trump also expressed concern about Russia’s nuclear weapons capability and its impact on Ukraine. He argued that while many people talked about Ukraine‘s situation, Russia is “sitting back.”
“First of all, Ukraine is being obliterated, but let’s not even talk nuclear. Let’s say it wasn’t. Let’s say they were doing better than anticipated. If he (Russian President Vladimir Putin) decided to use his second form of destruction, which is nuclear, that’s the end of that,” he added.
2024 presidential race
In addition, Trump was asked if he would withdraw from the 2024 presidential race if convicted of any charges, including those involving Stormy Daniels’ ongoing hush money case.
In response, he stated that he would never drop out.
“I’d never drop out. That’s not my thing. I wouldn’t do it,” he added.
He also claimed that police officers and courthouse employees were moved to tears upon seeing him appear for his arraignment in Manhattan. TIMES OF OCEAN US ELECTIONS
“People were crying, people that worked there, professionally work there, that have no problems putting in murderers and they see everybody,” he said.
Trump was charged last week with 34 counts for allegedly paying “hush money” to Daniels before the 2016 election by Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg.

Fox News is still dealing with the fallout of “parting ways” with top-rated host Tucker Carlson. As the network continues to collapse in the ratings, far-left outlet MSNBC continues to take advantage and topped Fox News in several key demographics.
“MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow led prime time on Monday with 2.53 million total viewers and 212,000 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic. Maddow’s haul was enough to boost MSNBC’s prime-time average to number one in total viewers. MSNBC won prime time with 1.9 million total viewers, while Fox News came in second with 1.73 million total viewers. Fox won the demo, however, with 178,000 viewers to CNN’s 161,000 and MSNBC’s 160,000,” Mediaite reported.
Fox News cable news ratings have collapsed in the key 25-54 age demographic after the network took Carlson off the air in late April.
Things have gotten so bad at the network that longtime host Sean Hannity has fallen behind MSNBC’s Joy Reid in the key demo.
Liberal reporter Glenn Greenwald tweeted: “The 8 pm slot on Fox with Tucker was not only consistently number 1 in the key demo – 25-54 – but routinely had 400,000 viewers or more. Without Tucker, it’s crashed to worse-than-MSNBC levels: barely 100,000 people. Hannity is in 14th place, behind Joy Reid! A total collapse. It’s so clear Fox’s firing of Tucker was not just financially driven, bereft of the Murdochs’ and Paul Ryan’s ideological goals. Firing Tucker destroyed its prime-time ratings. There’s no argument Tucker’s twice-a-week Twitter postings compete with Fox. They want him silenced.”
Hannity’s primetime show has been feeling the heat since Carlson was abruptly ousted.
Hannity’s show, which got up to nearly 2 million in the final weeks of May, has fallen to around a 1.7 million average in June so far. For comparison, Hannity’s primetime show averaged around 3 million each night before Carlson’s departure.
After dominating cable news ratings for years, the Fox News Channel has been knocked from its top perch left-wing rival MSNBC in key time slots.
“Nielsen data regarding the week ending this past Sunday was shared on Twitter on Tuesday by A.J. Katz, a reporter specializing in the cable news business. According to the data, Fox’s primetime 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET viewership averaged 1,504,429. The average viewership for the more left-leaning MSNBC over the same time frame averaged 1,520,857, narrowly beating out the conservative network that has long been a leader in cable news viewership,” Newsweek reported.
Fox News also recently announced its brand new prime-time lineup and revealed who will be taking over Tucker Carlson’s old time slot.
In a press release, the network revealed that Jesse Watters will take the 8 p.m. slot, directly replacing Carlson. Laura Ingraham will move from 10 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sean Hannity will stay at 9 p.m. and Greg Gutfeld will move to 10 p.m. Longtime news anchor Trace Gallagher will move up to 11 p.m.
“A rotating cast of hosts stepped in to replace Carlson after he was abruptly fired from Fox News one week after it reached a $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over the airing of 2020 election lies. The ratings dipped significantly from the Carlson era, who in his seven years helming Tucker Carlson Tonight emerged as a controversial but popular host at the network,” Mediaite reported.
“Watters joined Fox News two decades ago, working his way up from production assistant to on-air commentator on Bill O’Reilly’s hit prime-time show,” the outlet added. “Perhaps the biggest shake-up is moving the top-rated late-night show, Gutfeld! from 11 PM to an hour earlier.”
The statement concluded: “In recent years, he has become one of the most-watched personalities on the network, as co-host of the top-rated show The Five and solo host of his own program Watters’ World, which debuted in the 7 p.m. slot in 2022.”

Things that have happened in the last 48 hours
Tucker Carlson fired from Fox News unceremoniously and without warning, apparently directly at the command of Rupert Murdoch. Reason isn't clear but Dominion claims with wasn't because of their recent settlement with Fox News for over $700 million. Considering all that Fox News hosts get away with saying regularly, something pretty wild has to have happened for them to suddenly fire their number one money maker and the host of the highest viewed tv program in the country, on any channel.
Don Lemon fired from CNN possibly without warning, though CNN claims they tried to meet with him. Possibly due to sexist and/or racist comments, but the reason isn't currently clear and CNN is just not wanting to talk about it
Nate Silver was laid off by Disney and ABC and is no longer part of FiveThirtyEight, which he founded.
Steven Crowder announced that he has been divorced since 2021 when his wife filed a no-fault divorce, openly bemoaned the fact that the laws of Texas allowed her to divorce him without his permission, and then publicly accused Candace Owens of trying to use his divorce to extort him for money.
Candace Owens started commenting back at him, denying the accusations of extortion and has now officially begun another far right media civil war as people are taking sides, because she took the bait. She may or may not have sent him a cease and desist and be planning to take legal action.

The CRTC has launched a public consultation on whether to ban Fox News from Canadian airwaves after a complaint over incendiary comments made about LGBTQ2 people on the right-wing American network.
The broadcast regulator posted the notice on its website Wednesday, saying it is accepting comments from interested parties and the public until June 2.
Egale Canada, a Toronto-based LGBTQ2 advocacy group, urged the CRTC to hold the consultation in an April 4 open letter that cited “false and horrifying claims” about transgender people made by then-host Tucker Carlson during a March 28 broadcast.
“This programming is in clear violation of Canadian broadcasting standards and has no place on Canadian broadcasting networks,” Egale’s executive director Helen Kennedy wrote.
Carlson was fired from Fox News last week, but a spokesperson for Egale told Global News it remains “committed to the call” to remove the channel from Canadian airwaves, citing anti-LGBTQ2 rhetoric made by other hosts at the network. [...]
Note from the poster @el-shab-hussein: This post presents the reason Tucker Carlson was fired, for reader context.

Seems as if somebody decided that his presence there is getting too expensive for them (especially with the next lawsuit incoming). And behold, the oh-so-deserving scapegoat is driven forth into the wilderness...

There’s hella theories floating around about the reason behind Tucker Carlson’s sudden divorce with Fox News, but there’s one that I love the most.
Its the sexiest, pettiest, most delicious bullshit to ever be conceived. Behold:
We know for a fact that Tucker got bitch slapped across New York City by Rupert Murdoch himself. Not only that, but baby boy was laid off sometime on Friday and notified only on Monday, when he came to work. So, this unforeseen development was like a kick in the balls. For the uninitiated, Rupert Murdoch is the name of the demonic entity responsible for the creation of Fox News.
Tuckerson and Rupert had a special relationship. According to Tucker himself, the now ex-host was “100% [Rupert’s] bitch” (we love a proud sugar baby). Tucker was basically a glorified court jester - he cosplayed for daddy Rupert as a pro-worker, anti-elitist, anti-establishment, Christian, relatable everyman that broke republicans could relate to. That was, of course, a load of horseshit. As said by Tucker himself.
You see, back in Mesozoic Era (circa 2008-2011), our boy was an active participant in shock radio programs where he paraded himself as an open and proud elitist and a self-admitted trust fund baby.
All of this deliciousness speaks for itself. Tucker Carlson is a chameleon that changes his face depending on what’s resonating best with his conservative audience. Which brings us to the nearly orgasmic culmination of events that could have possibly led to Tucker’s current unemployment.
Tuck roleplayed as a hardcore Christian for quite some time. On that fateful Friday night, he turned it up to 100 for his speech at the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary gala. Bubba was popping off, calling abortions “child sacrifices” and demanding daily prayers. The audience loved it. Rupert? Not so much.
The thing is, for Rupert business comes before fascism. Grandpa worships money, Jesus is merely a profitable business strategy. For a businessman, the rabid fundie shit was already incredibly off-putting. And Tucker’s villain monologue just happened to be the last drop in the bucket that was already filled to the brim by Murdoch’s ex. That’s right. The chair of Fox News broke off his recent engagement because his fiancée was a Jesus freak.
Now onto the good shit. Rupert’s ex had a favorite show. Guess what that show was?
Tucker Carlson Tonight
The woman in question even had tête-à-tête chit chats with her favorite TV personality, thanks to her connection to Fox News CEO.
Tensions were rising in the Murdoch household. The ex-fiancée’s obsession with Tucker only added fuel to the fire. The woman went as far as declaring that Carlson was a messenger from God. One day, Tucker had a dinner at his boss’ estate. In the middle of dinner the Jesus lady pulled out a Bible and began discussing the book of Exodus with Carlson.
Rupert just sat there like 👁️👄👁️
In the end, the man was too freaked out by Christian fundamentalism and kicked Tucker out after his particularly awful speech. It was also a cute little fuck you to his ex cause now her favorite show got canceled
This is just one theory, but it’s my favorite, so I prefer it above all else, and now you get to experience this beauty with me
God, I adore American politics

Gutfeld Says He’s Thought About Leaving ‘The Five’ For Tucker Carlson’s Old Time Slot
Popular Fox News host Greg Gutfeld shared big news this week when he revealed that he’s thought about the idea of taking over the primetime slot that was previously held by Tucker Carlson, who was taken off the air by the network in late April.
“Obviously, it’s crossed my mind,” Gutfeld told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published this week. “If I did 8 o’clock, I would definitely not do The Five, and I would no longer do Gutfeld! Those just happen to be the two most popular shows on Fox these days. I would just do one show because I would prepare for that show like crazy.”
Tom O’Connor, the executive producer for “Gutfeld,” said he believes the host would be a perfect fit to take over the 8 PM prime time slot.
“I think he could probably be successful in any of the timeslots,” said O’Connor. “I mean, we were on at 3 in the morning East Coast time when we did ‘Red Eye,’ and people found us.”

Fox News has faced a slew of backlash, negative headlines, and a significant rating drop since taking top-rated host Tucker Carlson off the air in late April.
However, one Fox News personality has gotten a handful of good news in recent weeks.
Popular co-host Greg Gutfeld announced a new book, both shows that he co-hosts — “The Five” and “Gutfeld!” — are dominating the cable news ratings, and he’s reportedly being considered to take over a primetime slot on the network.
Despite the fallout from ousting former top host Tucker Carlson, Fox News remained the most-watched network in all of the cable news in May.
“The Five” was the highest-rated show on cable news with 2.6 million average total viewers and 267,000 average demo viewers. His late-night comedy show “Gutfeld!” was also in the top 5 for cable news.
Below is a breakdown of the top 5 shows on cable news in May, all of which belong to Fox News:
The Five – 2.63 million (276,000 in the 25-54 demographic)
Jesse Watters Primetime – 2.14 million (194,000 demo)
   Hannity – 1.91 million (178,000 demo)
Special Report with Bret Baier – 1.81 million (187,000 demo)
   Gutfeld! – 1.65 million (224,000 demo)
The popular host announced a new book, titled, “The King of Late Night,” which will be released July 25, and details how Gutfeld “destroyed the mainstream late-night landscape of heavyweights and became the host of the #1 late night show in all of television.”
Fox News has announced a slew of changes in recent weeks.
Last week, the network announced that Steve Hilton’s Sunday show in the 9 p.m. time slot has been canceled.
Fox Business has canceled the long-running show “Kennedy,” which airs at 7 p.m. ET. The network plans to air reruns of former Trump administration economist Larry Kudlow.
The report said that Lisa Kennedy Montgomery will remain at Fox News, where she will be a recurring figure on “The Five,” “Outnumbered,” and other shows.
Donald Trump Jr. has said he was warned by insiders at Fox News that network bosses were not happy with his criticism following the sudden firing of top-rated host Tucker Carlson in late April.
The former president’s oldest son says he was told to “expect retaliation” after ripping the firing as unwise and accusing top executives of “censorship.” He went on to say that he also has not been invited onto the network in nearly nine months, the report noted.
“I’ve been watching the censorship happening even in conservative mainstream media,” Don Jr. said on the Steak for Breakfast podcast. “I mean, you saw what sort of Fox did to Tucker Carlson, last week, and the week before that, it was Dan Bongino and, you know, the people who would actually question some of that narrative.”

Y’AAAAALLLLL
TV host Tucker Carlson and Fox News have "agreed to part ways," Fox said in a statement Monday.
The news comes nearly one week after the $787.5 million settlement agreement between Fox and Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion's suit had accused Fox News of recklessly airing false election claims and conspiracy theories in the wake of the 2020 presidential election.
This is a big deal in terms of curtailing the bullshit; this dipshit’s show is a big reason Fox is on the hook for $787M now. “The Kremlin literally issued a memo to use Tucker Carlson's clips ‘as much as possible.’”

Ban Fox News from TV, CRTC hears as thousands of Canadians write to regulator.
Tumblr media
OTTAWA — Thousands of Canadians have weighed in on whether cable companies should be prohibited from distributing Fox News in Canada — and many of them appear to be in favour of a ban.
The CRTC launched the consultation after LGBTQ rights group Egale Canada asked it to ban the channel from Canadian cable packages in response to former Fox host Tucker Carlson’s comments about transgender individuals. The deadline for comments was Friday.
The CRTC heard from a number of LBGTQ and other rights groups criticizing Fox and supporting a ban. A random sample of 100 submissions from individual Canadians reviewed by the National Post found 70 per cent were anti-Fox or in favour of banning the channel.
“Fox is a propaganda outlet which undermines the democratic ideals of Canada,” one comment said. “This is not censorship, this is shielding intellectually vulnerable people from brainwashing.” [...]

Tucker Carlson has confirmed he is in Moscow to interview Vladimir Putin - and he's doing it because 'Americans are not informed' about the war in Ukraine, he said on Tuesday.
The former Fox News host announced on X that he would be publishing an interview with the Russian despot, following widespread speculation after he was pictured leaving the Kremlin in Moscow on Monday.
Carlson, 54, said the interview would air 'unedited' on his website, without a paywall, and on X, making him the first American to interview Putin since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and Space X and owner of X, formerly Twitter, has been one of the loudest critics of President Joe Biden and his administration, and he has left no mystery about who he does not want as president after the next election.
After President Biden’s furious State of the Union address, in which he mentioned his “predecessor” 13 times, Musk shared the response video of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
An X user responded to the post saying, “The point is, we need a new President,” to  which Musk responded, “Yes.”
Musk said he voted for President Biden in the previous election, but in January, he said, “I cannot see myself voting for Biden this time.”
Musk met with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, which began speculation that he would be donating to the former president’s campaign, but after the meeting, he said, “Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President.”

Dominion Voting Systems said in a court filing Monday that it wants to put some of Fox News’ top executives and most well-known hosts on the witness stand when its $1.6 billion defamation case against the right-wing network goes to trial.
Among the network personnel that the voting technology company wants to call as witnesses are Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott; Fox News President Jay Wallace; hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Maria Bartiromo, Laura Ingraham, and Bret Baier; and former executive Bill Sammon and politics editor Chris Stirewalt.
Dominion also said it wishes to call to the stand Abby Grossberg, the Fox News producer who filed lawsuits against the network last week that alleged network lawyers coerced her into providing misleading testimony.
