Down the TBR Hole 1.11 // Unreleased – Part 2/4 2019 Month Release Known

This week I’m going through all of my unreleased books for 2019 that have an expected month release!

Does that make sense?

I’m going to be going through all the books I have on my Unreleased TBR shelf that come out in 2019 and have a known month release listed on Goodreads.

Next time I’ll be going through the ones that have an unknown month release!

So many books!

Honestly, before starting this series, my Unreleased shelf was a mess.

I had books on there that had been out for up to a year, it’s been that long since I went through it!

That’s what I love about this series, it’s making me accountable for going through my shelves extensively. Maybe I will have to do this at least once a year?

1.│Black Enough: Stories of Being Young & Black in America│ Ibi Zoboi│January 8 2019││ I added this because…I’m all about anthologies lately and this sounds so fucking good! Stay or Go? Stay!

2.│Superman: Dawnbreaker│DC Icons #4│Matt de la Pena│January 10 2019│ I added this because…I mean, if I’m being honest with myself I’m mostly just wanting to read this to see if Supergirl makes an appearance (and maybe Alex Danvers, if she’s canon because I’m fucking obsessed). Stay or Go? Stay but moved to the Unreleased Undecided shelf.

3.│The Gilded Wolves│The Gilded Wolves #1│Roshani Chokshi│January 15 2019││ I added this because…It’s a possibly queer???? Paris gang??? Stay or Go? Stay!

4.│Our Year of Maybe│Rachel Lynn Solomon│January 15 2019││ I added this because…This sounds cute and has a bi lead. Stay or Go? Go! There’s nothing else that really grabs me.

5.│The Love & Lies of Rukhsana Ali│Sabina Khan│January 29 2019││ I added this because…“In which the title character is caught kissing her girlfriend by her conservative Muslim parents, who respond by forcing her to move from Seattle to Bangladesh.“ I don’t think I’m ready for this book to fuck me up. Stay or Go? Stay!

6.│Death Prefers Blondes│Caleb Roehrig│January 29 2019│ I added this because…This book had me at jewel heists and a crew of acrobatic young men. Stay or Go? Stay!

7.│On the Come Up│Angie Thomas│February 5 2019││ I added this because…I still haven’t read THUG and yet here I am with another one of Angie Thomas’s book on my TBR. Stay or Go? Stay!

8.│The Night Owl from Dogfish│Holly Goldberg Sloan & Meg Wolitzer│February 12th 2019││ I added this because…Parent Trap with gay dads!!!! I used to watch Parent Trap every single year as a kid and would always wish I would find out that I had a secret twin I didn’t know about. Stay or Go? Stay!

9.│The Past and Other Things That Should Stay Buried│Shaun David Hutchinson│February 19 2019││ I added this because…‘A good friend will bury your body, a best friend will dig you back up.‘ Hook line and sinker. Stay or Go? Stay!

10.│Immoral Code│Lillian Clark│February 19 2019││ I added this because…Since the untimely cancellation of Eye Candy all I have wanted is more lady hacker stories so ya know I jumped on this one. Stay or Go? Stay!

11.│An Affair of Poisons│Addie Thorley│February 26 2019│ I added this because…She’s a deadly poisoner. He’s a bastard prince. Together, they form a tenuous pact to unite the commoners and former nobility against the Shadow Society. Enemies to lovers man. Gets me every time. Stay or Go? Stay!

14.│The Weight of the Stars│K Ancrum│March 19 2019││ I added this because…Ooooooohhhhh I love a good slow burn gay romance. Give me all the angsty feels as if I don’t already get enough of them as a clueless baby queer! Stay or Go? Stay!

15.│Sherwood│Meagan Spooner│March 19 2019│ I added this because…Girl Robin Hood but I’m worried because I just read the most amazing queer Robin Hood retellings by Elliot Wake in the All Out anthology and I don’t know if this could live up to that. Stay or Go? Stay…For now but moving to my Undecided shelf to decide once it’s been released.

20.│A Place for Wolves│Kosoko Jackson│April 2 2019││ I added this because…Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe meets Code Name Verity in this heartbreaking and poignant historical thriller. Yes. Stay or Go? Stay!

21.│The Tiger at Midnight│The Tiger at Midnight #1│Swati Teerdhala│April 23 2019││ I added this because…The synopsis is a bit confusing but I’m always looking for fantasies with settings based on different cultures! Stay or Go? Stay!

26.│Full Disclosure│Camryn Garrett│September 10 2019││ I added this because…Omg, this sounds so sweet while also tackling full on topics and like that’s my shit. Stay or Go? Stay!

So I’m keeping 23, moved 2 to the Unreleased Undecided shelf and am only getting rid of 2.

That isn’t the best run but I’m really trying here! It’s so hard to get rid of books when they’re not even out yet and don’t have reviews to go off of!
