Demons of Asteborg Comes to Evercade
“Demons of Asteborg,” a “modern” Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) game has been opened for pre-order for the Evercade line. I bought the game for the now decades old Sega Genesis and made two videos for YouTube on the game.
Overview of Demons of Asteborg
Make compatible with Overdrive
The cartridge that is set for release includes another game, called “Astebros,” which you can see in the video…

Tonight's gonna be the best shift ever! We are giving the new guy a dry run before we throw him to the wolves this weekend. I am here to answer questions and fill the drink cooler (1-2hours TOPS and they just did reset today so probably not even close to that). The rest of my time is for me to do with as I will. Got a book, a notebook, and my Ganeboy Adv with the entire Game Boy (all of them) and NES libraries on an Everdrive.

Once your Everdrive arrives you'll want to make it look super cool. To do that I got some Holographic labels printed off of etsy and they look dope. Holographic labels are nice because they look cool...

forgotten that i'd figured out how to autodetect if my Megadrive is in Master System mode and then use that to let me pause games using the controller. its a common mod for actual MS consoles but i couldnt find shit for doing it on a MD so i'm still p proud that i figured that out
(theres a pin on the cartridge slot that gets pulled low whenever you put the MS converter in and theres also another pin that controls the pause function)

Figure i'd share my setup for retro gaming. Hoping that by the end of the year through commissions and ko-fi donations I can add an NES to that tier with all the classic character amiibos and the Donkey Kong decal. Not pictured are my handhelds and extra controllers, which stay tucked in some of those drawers. Also my PC and Switch off to the side.
It's a humble setup, I hope to improve on it when things start looking up for me.
EDIT: Too late did I realize it would have been better to actually have a game displayed on the TV, but maybe next time.

It's a real problem the input lag when you try to play Nintendo 64 games on the Nintendo Switch Online app. So this meme is actually sad but true.

I got my Mega Everdrive X5 a little while ago and have been playing the bejeezus out of it. The load times are great, and being able to play games that I would have no HOPE of ever getting my hands on is so wonderful. Not to mention all the Rom hacks that literally make improvements on the original releases and translations of Japanese only games is SICK! Also it supports Master System games which is a whole generation of games I barely got to play as a kiddo!

Newest addition to my collection:
I've been after one of these for a while now, and finally managed to pick one up! It's a Nintendo Power GB Memory Cartridge, and it's one of only two flash carts Nintendo ever officially released (the other being for the Super Famicom). They were exclusive to Japan and could be flashed at special kiosks with 1-7 different games (depending on ROM size).
Of course the service has long been discontinued, and the kiosks no longer exist, but with the help of a couple programs and my trusty cart flasher, I managed to flash it with a few of my favorite games:
I'm having a blast with it so far (though Kid Icarus is testing me lol). The best part is, if I get tired of these games, I can always reflash it with new ones! Aaahhh I'm so happy I finally found one of these. So damn cool.
