Before I got busy with Baldur's Gate 3, a little update about my ESO char

From left to righ, up to down :

Zeruel Nervillié : Altmer, magic arcanist. New oc, she lived in Apocrypha for a long time and works to catalog the knowledge.

Anomaril Relvas : Dunmer, stamina necromancer. Former Disney prince type that turned bad after the death of his fiancée.

Misha Maestrel : Breton, magika nightblade. Street kid, morally grey, is it even his real name?

Nallia Ravenwatch : Nord, magika sorcerer. Eldest daughter of Liv and Verandis. Often got in trouble.

Melinoe Ravenwatch : Nord, stamina dragonknight. Youngest daughter of Liv and Verandis. Always trying to protect her sister.

Liv Steelmaiden : Nord, stamina templar. Vestige, former adventurer and savior of Nirn, now retired. She lives with Verandis and their daughters in Skyrim.

Darcy Castell : Breton, magika warden, vampire. Old blasé man, he lives since too long for this crap.

Kalissandre Copperwing : Breton, magika necromancer. After a difficult teenage life, she is now a noble and protects King Emeric. Rumors said she is known as the Necromancer of the King.

Capucine Auriciel : Breton, magika templar. Former Dagon cultist, now living in Galen after finding her lost family in the Firesong tribe.

Drachan-Karr : Redguard, stamina sorcerer. Mercenary, she has a tavern where people can find all sorts of jobs, but she draws the line at murder. Lives with the Khajiits that saved her.

The Oronthïe twins : Eldariel (magika necromancer, former vampire) and Auril (magika warden), childhood friends of Ayrenn. Both Eyes of the Queen.

Ver'drani : Dunmer, stamina nightblade. Thief, spends her time in Hew Bane's with the Thieves guild. Always runs into trouble.

Elvi the Tiny : Bosmer, stamina warden. Member of the Z'en, she lefts them after her mount was corrupted by Maarselok and she did not want to kill it. Join the Dominion army.

can you imagine being a little twee simon and garfunkel fan in the late 60s and then buying your new vinyl at the record store and hearing mrs. robinson for the first time in your own home. i would’ve fallen over backwards

#i don't know if i've ever mentioned this--and i dont even remember why this is the case--but mrs. robinson was one of the first songs #that i ever knew in this lifetime. like. when youre a little tiny baby and youre barely aware what music is #and you know the words to the chorus of at most like 15 songs. mrs. robinson was one of those songs and i dont remember why or how #probably my father? he's also the reason that i knew the beatles when i was that young too #he also played a lot of bob marley and elvis. we used to have little dance parties in the living room after watching shrek every night #where he'd play his music. but i cant think mrs. robinson was one of those songs? its NOT a dance song #(i can try though. you cant stop me)#text post #simon and garfunkel #but yes this also does mean allstar by smash mouth was also one of those first primordial songs on my consciousness #mrs. robinson really though is such a beautiful and clever song im never gonna be over it #simon and garfunkel is one of those few bands where their most famous song arguably deserves that status in their discography #altho that did get a little different after i watched the graduate as a teenager lol #but the song. didn't slap any less naturally. it just had a new association #also fun fact i don't know at what age i learned that mrs. robinson was by simon and garfunkel #at least until i was like 10 i thought it was by the beatles?

Ah, I'm just thinking about last weekend (NYE getaway to a cottage in the woods) and how much I love that my friends are just as dumb as I am and can't stop making "that's what she said" jokes like,

(Everyone getting into a tiny car with all the bags and groceries) Me: "Wow, I'm surprised you managed to stuff it all in." Friend 1: "That's what she said." *everyone sniggering*

(Driving into the village where our cottage is) Friend 1: "Oh, it really is woodsy here, nice! I love wood." Friend 2: "That's what she said." more very mature sniggering

(Entering the cottage for the first time) Friend 2: "Oh wow, it's a lot bigger than I expected." Me: "That's what she said!" *high fives all around*

And so on and so forth. We are all women in our mid thirties, by the way. Like attracts like (wouldn't have it any other way) <3

“The house at 10550 Rocco Place in Bel Air came with an intercom system connected to the front gate which saved Priscilla from a jealous fan not long after we moved there. While Elvis and a few others guys were watching TV in the living room, I was in my bedroom near the kitchen. All of the sudden I hear Priscilla yelling over the intercom, “Sonny..Jerry... help!”

I bolted to the door, yelling at Elvis that Priscilla was in trouble.

When I got there, I saw a girl who appeared to be in her late teens and about 250 pounds grappling with Priscilla. When she saw me, the girl let go of Priscilla's hair and ran to her car, got in and locked the doors. Another guy and girl were in the car. I recognized Priscilla's antagonist - she was a regular who because of her size we called "Tiny." Later in the house, Priscilla told us that Tiny had followed her as she drove home and almost caused her to get into an accident. When Priscilla stopped at the gate, she confronted Tiny and demanded to know what she was doing.

Tiny called her a whore and even though she was small, no one was gonna talk to Priscilla like that. She promptly clocked Tiny with an uppercut.

After making sure Priscilla was fine, I ran up to Tiny's car and yelled through the rolled up window, “You'd better get your ass out of here now, because Elvis sees you, he won't like it!” Tiny's response was to stick out her tongue and start making faces at me. I really wanted her to scram because there was no telling how Elvis would react upon his imminent arrival.

His reaction was hot - he came pounding down the driveway, went right to Priscilla and asked if she was alright. “Yes, but that girl is big fat pig,” Priscilla replied and Elvis advanced on her car with a head full of steam, screaming, “You big, fat, no-good bitch!” then he began kicking the car and pounding his fists on the windshield, yelling at her to open the door.

Tiny stayed put and screamed back, “I'm underage! If you touch me, I'll sue!” Elvis was far past considering the legalities of the situation. He started looking around the roadway and I knew he wanted a rock to break the car window. Before he got hold of one, I screamed, “Get the hell out of here now or he's going to break that window and then that head of yours!” Luckily for her, Tiny started the car, hopped the curb and peeled away. We didn't see her for a long time but then she started showing up at the house on Monovale Drive. By then a regular, welcome visitor to the house was a woman named Pat Balasko, who was seriously into karate. Elvis called her “Karate Pat.”

When Tiny reappeared, Elvis asked Pat to have a talk with her. Tiny hadn't changed. She started shooting off her large, filthy mouth and then she made an even bigger mistake and tried to get physical with Karate Pat. Tiny ended up on the ground and Pat warned her that if she ever blotted our skyline again she would get it much worse. We never saw Tiny anymore, and Elvis presented Pat with a TLC necklace in gratitude.”

life is my favorite elvis song like .. ever and finding a 45 with it on it ... i almost cried in that record store yall. so many good finds today but my bank account is not very happy with me 😅

member: woozi word count: 495 genre: fluff content warning: crying at a movie and being lovingly teased about it? note: that 1am inspiration strikes again, business as usual! obviously inspired by my afternoon seeing elvis (i found it pretty bad but austin butler was incredible) elvis and the beatles were the only gods in my house growing up, hence the emotional reverence found here!

jihoon’s head turns to you suddenly, features translating his worry. it’s hard to tell if you’re alright in the darkness of the movie theatre, but as the scene changes and the screen lights up your face, he understands why your fingers tightened around the hand you had been holding since the romantic wedding scene about halfway through the film.

“are you crying?” he whispers loudly, but you immediately shush him. it will have to wait until the credits roll, he thinks, so it can wait. you produce a handkerchief from your bag carefully placed on the seat to your left and dab at the tears on your cheeks, eyes still looking up at the screen. your chest starts to heave as a sob shakes you quietly.

when the movie finally ends and the lights are turned back on, jihoon lets go of your hand and leans in closer to avoid attracting the attention of the crowd walking by you to exit the theatre. “what’s wrong?” he tries to read the look in your eyes but you’re busy folding your handkerchief like it’s the most fascinating task in the world. your boyfriend’s fingers close around your wrist and shake it lazily to get an answer out of you. you sigh then, unsure of how he’ll react to your emotional outburst. but he’s so set on finding out, you might as well give it to him straight.

“it’s just so sad! the song in that scene was so pretty, and he died so young... if only he were still alive... his voice was so beautiful...” you look up and do your best to keep fresh new tears from falling, so you miss the incredulous look on jihoon’s face. “you’re crying because he died? forty-three years ago?” you yank your wrist out of his grasp and give him a look meant for him to understand this was not the right answer. “it’s a shame he died! we need beautiful voices singing to us now more than ever!” you snap as you collect your things hastily, as if leaving the room would put this awkward moment behind you. following you down the stairs back to the cinema entrance, you hear jihoon’s smirk as he observes, “but i’m a singer too? don’t i sing well enough?” you stop dead in your tracks then, and turn around mightily annoyed. is he for real? are you really getting this annoyed over the long gone king? “jihoon, you’re no elvis!” your voice is hushed as if the legend could hear you speak his name in a vain comparison. you stomp down the stairs, still too hung up on your tear-inducing experience to deal with your teasing boyfriend. “don’t i make you cry when i sing?!” his voice is full of laughter as it follows you down the staircase and onto the street, but he makes sure to intertwine his fingers with yours when he catches up with you and steals a kiss from your pouty lips.
