Most notable Starkid cast members?
Tumblr media
Starkid has had a lot of different cast members in their shows through the years and I started wondering who has been in the most shows and how many shows someone would have to be in for them to feel like a "proper" Starkid. I could have looked up to see if anyone has compiled this information but instead I decided to do it myself!
I went through the cast lists of all fourteen live stage shows they have uploaded to their channel (so including VHS Christmas Carol but not Nightmare Time or any other digital series) and here's what I found:
(behind a read more because this got looong and also so you have time to guess which actors have been in the most shows!)
1. Jaime Lynn Beatty (12 out of 14 shows). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 1. Lauren Lopez (12). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Nerdy Prudes Must Die. 3. Joey Richter (11). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Nerdy Prudes Must Die. 4. Joe Walker (9). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Firebringer. 5. Dylan Saunders (8). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 5. Brian Holden (8). First appearance: Me & My Dick. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 5. Corey Dorris (8). First appearance: Me & My Dick. Latest appearance: Nerdy Prudes Must Die. 8. Meredith Stepien (7). First appearance: Starship. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 9. Joe Moses (6). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Ani: A Parody. 9. Jim Povolo (6). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Twisted. 9. Denise Donovan (6). First appearance: Starship. Latest appearance: Firebringer. 9. Jeff Blim (6). First appearance: Holy Musical B@tman!. Latest appearance: Black Friday. 13. Julia Albain (5). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: Ani: A Parody. 14. Brian Rosenthal (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 14. Britney Coleman (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 14. Devin Lytle (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 14. Richard Campbell (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 14. Lily Marks (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 14. Nick Lang (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Sequel. Latest appearance: Ani: A Parody. 14. Nicholas Joseph Strauss-Matathia (4). First appearance: A Very Potter Sequel. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 21. Darren Criss (3). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 21. Tyler Brunsman (3). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 21. Sango Tajima (3). First appearance: A Very Potter Musical. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 21. A. J. Holmes (3). First appearance: Me & My Dick. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 21. Arielle Goldman (3). First appearance: Me & My Dick. Latest appearance: A Very Potter Senior Year. 21. Chris Allen (3). First appearance: Holy Musical B@tman! Latest appearance: Ani: A Parody. 21. Rachael Soglin (3). First appearance: Twisted. Latest appearance: Firebringer. 21. Robert Manion (3). First appearance: Twisted. Latest appearance: Black Friday. 21. Clark Baxtresser (3). First appearance: Ani: A Parody. Latest appearance: A VHS Christmas Carol. 21. Jon Matteson (3). First appearance: The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals. Latest appearance: Nerdy Prudes Must Die.
Then there are a handful of people who have only appeared in one or two shows, most notably Bonnie Gruesen, who played Hermione in the first two Potter musicals, Will Brenner, who debuted in Nerdy Prudes Must Die, and Mariah Rose Faith, Angela Giarratana, Curt Mega, Kim Whalen, Kendall Nicole Yakshe and Bryce Charles, who have all appeared in two or more Hatchetfield projects.
A couple of observations:
Some of the actors listed have also been involved behind the scenes, with Nick Lang writing almost every show with his brother Matt Lang, and Jeff Blim and Clark Baxtresser writing the music for several shows.
I was shocked that Rachael Soglin has only been in three Starkid shows but I guess it goes to show that the size of the role also plays a part in how much of a "Starkid" every actor feels.

ST OC CHALLENGE :: FREAKS & GEEKS SUPPORTING CAST ↳ day one, the latest passenger on our curiosity voyage
BEX KING: played by Kiana Madeira, Bex King is the newest member of Hawkins High alongside Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Alicia, and newcomer Billy Hargrove. A political activist and member of the marching band, she often slacks off in school but manages to scrape by. A self-described freak, Bex finds herself pulled into the supernatural parts of Hawkins during the Summer of 1985, when a trip to the new Starcourt Mall ends up threatening to reveal a secret she’s been harboring since she was little.
SAMANTHA KING: played by Jenna Ortega, Samantha King is the younger sister of Bex King and is not happy with her father’s recent move to Hawkins. She’s even less happy with the fact that the Middle School doesn’t allow electric guitars in the band, which means the only pastime she somewhat enjoys is tormenting the four nerds that ride their bikes everywhere they go. Until her first Halloween at Hawkins ends up throwing her headfirst into a world of monsters and government conspiracy, straight out of ET.
CHARLIE BRENNER: A mysterious figure from Eleven’s past, Dylan O’Brien plays the only son of Dr. Martin Brenner. Charlie--it turns out--is like Eleven in a lot of different ways, and is one of the only figures at the lab who cared about her well-being. Back in society after spending the last four years on the outskirts, he’s having some difficulty adjusting to the new rules and blasé nature of the teens he hangs out with. His only solace is in the fact that his friend Alicia seems just as uneasy as he does with the sudden drop in activity, at least until Halloween of 1984.
MARCUS KING: played by Pedro Pascal, Marcus King is the patriarch of the King family. A former cop turned mechanic and single father of two girls, he made the decision to move to Hawkins, Indiana after a vicious custody battle with his ex-wife for some peace and quiet. But he’s not even there for a few months when he starts to notice things that don’t add up. The Police Chief meeting with government officials too high up to care about a place as small as this and the unusual circumstances regarding the disappearances of Alicia Henderson, Will Byers, and Jane Ives. Something strange is afoot in Hawkins, and he’s determined to find out what it is.

All 31 masked Patriot Front members who were arrested inside a truck near an Idaho city’s Pride in the Park event have been identified by police.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office released the names and pictures of the suspects on Sunday, one day after the group’s U-haul had been intercepted by authorities at a traffic stop. The police, according to the Spokesman, had been tipped off about the group after a concerned citizen had reportedly called in about what they described as a “small army”.
Inside, officers had found the dozens of men dressed in matching outfits of khakis, blue shirts, beige hats and white cloths covering their faces and equipped with shields, shin guards, riot gear and a smoke grenade.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that among the 31 men arrested was on Sunday was the founder of extremist hate group, Thomas R Rousseau. The Idaho-Statesman had reported earlier over the weekend that group’s founder was among the white nationalists who police in Coeur d’Alene found packed into the back of a U-Haul truck.
“They came to riot downtown,” the city’s police chief Lee White told a press conference on Saturday, adding that they came with documents “similar to an operations plan that a police or military group would put together for an event”.
The group’s members were charged with conspiracy to riot, a misdemeanor charge, and police said they had an “operations plan” with them.
The Anti-Defamation League describes the Patriot Front as a white nationalist group that specialises in vandalism, racist propaganda and “flash demonstrations” meant to intimidate marginalised communities.
The group’s founder, who is now in his early 20s, has been active in white supremacist ideology since he was a teenager, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. Before creating the Patriot Front, he was a member of Vanguard America, another American white supremacist organisation that is also a member of the Nationalist Front.
In 2017, the same year he created the extremist group, he attended the Unite the Right march in Charlottesburg, Virginia, which saw violent clashes between far right groups and opposing protesters which resulted in the murder of Heather Heyer.
Mr Rousseau hails from Dallas, Texas originally, and the other men arrested over suspicions of inciting a riot had reportedly also travelled from across the country. All 31 were dressed in similar clothing, which was emblazoned with Patriot Front logos on their shirts and hats, police said.
Those arrested came from Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Wyoming, Virginia and other states as well, police said.
The names of the men arrested on Sunday are as follows:

Marcos would probably be protective of Jacob (not just because Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien play amazing friends) but because he knows what it’s like to be the outsider. I feel as though he’d take the other boy under his wing. And yeah, if he has powers that would amuse and kind of terrify Marcos no end too.
Sarah Harrington, I don’t think he’d really know her. I mean, yeah they’d meet when all the Upside Down stuff is happening, but I doubt they’d ever be close.
Angelica, I feel as though he might have a crush on her. I think he’d be protective and worried – especially because of how new everything is. I guess he’d be kind of like how he is with Jacob, but I think – given the time Stranger Things is set – he’d be more protective of her.
I think him and Kimberly would get along. I don’t know why though, just a gut feeling. I mean, yeah they wouldn’t really meet until after everything with Brenner, but I think they might just click – possibly got on as kids?
I get this feeling Beth and Marcos are close. Like, they were neighbours or something and kind of rely on each other for a sane rock amongst the madness that is now their lives.
I don’t think he really gets along with Olivia – nor does he really know her for that matter. They didn’t socialise in similar circles or anything.
I think he’d get along with Samantha – like, the two of them would bond and talk way into the night about how they could get back at Billy for things that he’s done. When dealing with the Upside Down and everything they’d be there to make sure that it never got too much.
I don’t know how well Marcos would know Stacey, but I think that he’d recognise how different things are without her. Like, he’d see the change in atmosphere with the Byers’ even if he doesn’t know them that well. When she comes back, he can see something’s different, and finally he tries talking to her. I fear he’d be a little too cautious around her and things, but eventually the two might actually become pretty good friends.
