And here, totally not late, is the list for this years Decamber! Now, questions…
Q: What is Decamber?
A: Decamber is a month long creativity project, similar to Inktober, but focused around the Deca.
Q: What can I submit?
A: Anything! Art, writing, really whatever you like doing, as long as it’s your own work. This means no art theft, no AI, etc.
Q: Do I have to do it every day?
A: Nope! This is 0 stress. You can do as many as you’d like, even if that just means doing one.
This begins December 1st! Tag all your work “Decamber 2023.” Can’t wait to see it all!

Vansell stared at Koschei for a solid seven seconds before he answered. “Please tell me you tried the kitchens before you decided to knock on my door.”
“Well, yeah.” Koschei rolled his eyes. “First I looked in our room but it was all gone because Theta uses it for those disgusting sandwiches of his, then I—”
“What sandwiches?”
“You know, the ones with the lettuce and potato chips.”
“That is disgusting.”

“Where do you think it came from?” asked Koschei.
“What are we going to do about the window?” Although she was standing near the others, Ushas was not looking at the arrow on the floor but the window it had come through. “If Borusa blames us, he might actually ban us from the room this time.”
“Who cares about that? It almost killed me!” Rallon cried. He was still visibly shaking, his eyes wide. “Do you think someone did it on purpose?”

“Hey, Pax?” He spoke before he thought to check whether he was still awake. A quick glance over his shoulder revealed that he was, a reading light clipped to yet another novel. “Do you still remember how to do those shadow puppets?”
“Maybe.” Jelpax flipped to the next page in his book, his gaze never leaving its surface. “Dare I ask why?”

“…and so I agreed that I would do everything on his list but, well, I spilled my coffee.”
Drax squinted at the torn sheet of notebook paper in Mortimus’s hands. Most of the objectives were still clear enough (fold the laundry, take out the bin, etc.), but the last item on the list was half smudged away. All that remained was one single word: Polish.
“I think I understand your problem,” he said. “Without knowing what came after, we can’t even really know what that word means. Polish the floors? Polish his shoes? Polish your nails?”
Mortimus shrugged. “S’pose we’ll just have to do them all.”

chapters 6-10 are now uploaded btw!
in chapter 6 (rain), mortimus runs around the dorms in his pants after finding a leak in his room. in chapter 7 (grow), someone gives a presentation... on rallon! in chapter 8 (vine), ushas's experiment gets out of hand, requiring assistance. in chapter 9 (star), i rambled. idk. in chapter 10 (memory), magnus and mortimus get angsty. sorry.
