Dance With Devils Review
Tumblr media
Dance with Devil’s is a shonen anime that is twelve episodes long. It has a lot of things going for it, it’s supernatural based, a reverse harem type of thing, and there are songs. It’s not the type of anime I would usually go for but a friend made me watch the first three episodes with her. I kind of made myself watch the entire thing just to see what happens. I stayed up til three am if that means anything to watch it.
The story revolves around a high school girl named Ritsuka who gets involved in a war between vampires and demons.  Naturally, all the guys involved are devils or vampires. One of them is even a fallen angel. Ritsuka holds the secret of a powerful grimoire that the two races are looking for If they get ahold of it they can take over and each is trying to stop the other. Along with them, you have the exorcists that are trying to stop both sides and keep the grimoire safe.
I’m pretty sure each episode as at least one of the male characters singing a song, and in my opinion, it’s kind of Disney-esque in that way. I found them all quite amusing and both the opening and ending themes were fantastic. I think one of them is performed by some J-pop group, but I’m not quite sure.
It’s one of those animes that you kind of bounce back and forth on. If you like the harem type of deals then I would suggest this one. It’s not bad, I really enjoyed it, it’s just not the typical thing I would watch on choice. Depending on how you like the main characters you may like the ending or not, it’s a pretty disfactory ending but if I’m right there is a movie coming out sometime that should fix that. But I’m not quite sure.  I know that there is a manga if that’s your cup of tea, I think there’s a live action play/musical for it.
