at first, when you started to hang out with the NSB members, you started to notice how ryan was quiet and silent compared to the others members
but then, when you guys started being friends.. oh dang it!

The other day I was half joking with my mom about how every other Viet person I meet irl has the last name Tran, Nguyen, Le, or Dang and rarely anything else
And then today we had to get in groups during section
And lo and behold
I have a groupmate who's a Vietnamese girl with the last name Tran
Also got a Professor Nguyen
Weirdly enough the only Phans I know are either famous or related to me, I've never met one in the wild
I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER VIET LAST NAMES BUT I ONLY SEEM TO MET PEOPLE WITH THESE ONES

Séance #5 – Renforcir des liens « faibles » en ligne
Les réseaux sociaux, de nos jours, sont utilisés quotidiennement par une bonne partie de la population. En effet, les formes de sociabilités ont évolué et changé pendant que les réseaux sociaux se sont développés. Plus ces derniers se sont développés, plus ils ont pris une place importante dans la vie de tous.
Les réseaux sociaux peuvent être utilisés entre autres pour des relations amicales, des relations amoureuses, lire les nouvelles et se divertir. En ce sens, les réseaux sociaux sont présents dans plusieurs aspects de nos vies afin de garder contact avec son entourage. À mon avis, la sociabilité des gens a énormément changé avec l’arrivée des réseaux sociaux, car ceux-ci peuvent profiter du fait qu’ils peuvent texter leurs amis pour prendre de leurs nouvelles au lieu de les voir et passer du temps de qualité avec eux. Ainsi, selon moi, la sociabilité dans un contexte en ligne a augmenté tandis que la sociabilité dans un contexte hors-ligne a diminué. Effectivement, nous pouvons rejoindre plus d’individus en étant en ligne puisqu’il est possible de texter plusieurs contacts en même temps. En ce sens, je pense que les médias sociaux ont augmenté la sociabilité des gens en ligne puisque le contact avec son entourage est plus facile et rapide qu’avant. D’ailleurs, le chercheur Mercklé mentionne qu’il y a « un remplacement de la sociabilité « directe », en face à face, par une sociabilité « médiatisée » par des dispositifs techniques, le téléphone hier, Internet et en particulier les réseaux sociaux aujourd’hui » (Dang Nguyen et Lethiais, 2016, p. 171). Cependant, Cardon élabore, de son côté, que « c’est une forme particulière de liens (« faibles ») qui serait en cause, mais globalement la sociabilité des individus s’enrichirait avec l’usage de Facebook » ou tout autre réseau social (Dang Nguyen et Lethiais, 2016, p. 172). Ces deux propos appuient ma réflexion.
En conclusion, je suis d’avis que les réseaux sociaux ont permis d’augmenter la sociabilité des individus en ligne en ayant l’avantage de pouvoir contacter son entourage facilement et rapidement. Cependant, cela fait en sorte qu’il y a moins d’occasions de se voir en personne, de sociabiliser sur des sujets plus profonds et de tisser des liens avec son entourage. De ce fait, bien que la sociabilité des individus ait augmenté en ligne, ce ne sont pas nécessairement des liens forts qui en résultent.
