Over the past six months, Ayo Davis and Craig have worked together very successfully on Disney Branded Television streaming originals.  In an interview with Deadline, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich, who oversees content for Hulu Originals, said the sixth season now is set to begin production this summer for premiere in 2025. 

A follow-up to the series from creator Bruce Miller, The Testaments, is actively being developed. Based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name, the new series picks up years after the events of Season 6.

It’s official: Charles, Oliver and Mabel are headed out west for Season 4 of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

In a new interview with Deadline, Craig Erwich, who oversees ABC, Freeform and Hulu, confirmed that the New York City-based comedy will relocate to California for at least part of Season 4.

“I’m very excited to see Steve [Martin], Martin [Short] and Selena [Gomez] take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles,” Erwich said. “So in the same way that [series co-creator] John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles.”

In Only Murders’ Season 3 finale, Mabel received an invitation from her boyfriend Tobert (played by recurring guest star Jesse Williams) to accompany him to Golden State, while Oliver encouraged girlfriend Loretta (fellow recurring guest star Meryl Streep) to move to California to be with her son Dickie.

Then there’s Charles, who’ll probably want to vacate the Arconia, at least temporarily, after a bullet meant for him took out his longtime stunt double Sazz (played by Jane Lynch).

“I love New York — the characters, the richness, the depth is endless — and it’s a New York show,” Hoffman previously told TVLine. “But I don’t want to be afraid of things that make you go, ‘What?’ ‘Where are we?’ ‘Where are they now?’ I think you have to do that so it doesn’t feel too insular.

“[The Arconia] is our apartment building, and much like how we want to get out and be in New York as much as possible, I think you also have to remember this trio and the potential for whatever would be happening in their lives that might lead them to go away for some reason,” he explained. He also assured us that the Arconia will always be a part of the show, adding: “It’s our building! I love it so, and we have devotion to it in every way.”

No word yet if Streep or Williams will reprise their roles in Season 4. We also don’t have a timetable for start of production or release.

After getting turned down at FOX Network on 2022, co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have taken their series resurrection plans elsewhere aka with their new owners Disney Streaming Services is laying out the welcome mat for the Hill family: the house of mouse is reviving King of the Hill from 20th Television Animation, with co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels set to return, as well as the beloved former cast.

Original voice talent returning includes Judge, Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, and Lauren Tom. The reboot has been in the works since the 2017 San Francisco Sketchfest, where Judge and Daniels reconnected with the cast and celebrated King of the Hill’s 20th anniversary.

Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the show was developed by Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt, directed by Eric Towner and Alex Kramer and produced by 10k, Multiverse Cowboy, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and Marvel Television.

The show premiered on Hulu with one season of 10 24-minute episodes on May 21, 2021 (ironically my 17th birthday), and was positively-received by critics. However, it was announced as cancelled in May 2022, although Blum had plans for a second season as announced in April 2021.

Craig Erwich, Hulu's head of content, stated in January 2022 that more seasons of M.O.D.O.K. would be determined solely by the Marvel Studios team. However, given how limited advertising the show got, it was a commercial failure, but by cancellation, it finally gained attention.

You see, according to Whip Media's viewership tracking app TV Time, the show was the 3rd most anticipated new television series, during the month the show was announced as cancelled. By that time it was too late but it did attract an audience, like with 101 Dalmatian Street.

As for what I think of it, haven’t seen it. Does look interesting though, but Henry Bean did describe the show as mid. What a coincidence it was released on my 17th birthday, but, I learned on Discord that Santa Inc. was also released on someone’s 17th birthday. Wow, pain!
