Some neighborhoods in Minneapolis - ones that had already been suffering - have been boarded and gutted. I have two good friends living there (both thankfully safe) who’ve shared photos of the streets near them completely shuttered and/or burnt. There are a lot of charities and bail funds floating around that all need help, but lending support to help sustain these communities in the aftermath is also important.

“This neighborhood faces a major food desert problem, with Target, Cub Foods, Aldi, and Family Dollar all closed currently, some for months or totally gone due to fire.

The local food shelve are all accepting monetary donations in an effort to help keep food accessible to those who are struggling. Any of them would be helpful, but Calvary Lutheran Church is one block away from where George Floyd was killed, so a particularly high-need area right now.” - via @thatteenagefeeling (who lives in MN and helpfully shared this info with me today)

The First UGC NET Examination was conducted by NTA from 18th December, 2018 to 22nd December, 2018 on two shifts per day across 235 cities in the country.

The examination was conducted in 85 subjects. A total number of 956837 candidates registered for this examination. There were 598 examination centres across the country.

A total number of 742 Observers, 295 CityCoordinators and 24 State Coordinators were deputed at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of examination.

In order to facilitate quick employment of eligible candidates, the result has been declared in record time. The exam was conducted from 18th December, 2018 to 22nd December, 2018 in 10 shifts and result has been declared on 05th January, 2019. 

In order to make the examination system transparent, the Question Paper and recorded responses were displayed for the verification by examinees, To ensure accuracy of result, the keys of question papers were displayed in advance to invite challenges if any.

For the first time in nationwide professional examinations, live CCTV Surveillance through more than 8000 CCTV was carried out.

Cheating using mobile network and other electronic devices was stopped using Jammers at all centres. As per the UGC policy, 6% of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified. The certificates to the qualified candidates will be issued by UGC

Results will be displayed

Download and take a printout for future use.

Note: There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

Ugc Net Qualifying Criteria And Cut-Off Percentages For Junior Research Fellowship And Eligibility For Assistant Professor

Those who qualify for the JRF are eligible to pursue Higher Education (PHD ) Or Research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and They also become eligible to apply for the post of an assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges. Nowadays even private organisations are considering NET Result as criteria for research-based Jobs
