“A cry of Hell-hounds never-ceasing barked / with wide Cerberean mouths full loud, and rung / A hideous peal, yet when they list, would creep / If aught disturbed their noise, into her womb, / and kennel there, yet there still barked and howled” - John Milton Paradise Lost

karma sutra, i fell in love. dying in miniature every time we touch
a corseted corpse in another woman’s marriage bed, farther afield with a body like a holocaust.
these are revisionist histories for the half-baked propheteer.
tantric marxism, a dark coming in through the half-open window, unwrinkling itself with the pallor of a smoking gun.
a dark like chiffon covers me where I lay undreaming.
a dark for the little behemoth in the acid bath, chemicals bubbled up to peel the shellac from his teeth.
please don’t make me do this. (but
if anybody asks)
-----------------------------------------/-/-/-/
that slit in your throat is a metaphysic sieve, a sky purpled with ribbons of unrequited wanting.
we built this bird out of downy lint, miscellaneous threads and coat buttons, and the last scraps from the dog fighting pits.
a bird, cerberean with 3 heads. kinchin, little separation, the nursery walls swollen with a shout-whispered litigation.
Cheater. Cheater. Cheater. i shall call you cotard, the living derivative of orgasm &
meted out by the hammer that frankenstein built
-------------------------------------//////////////--
they will come in the night with torches lit, pitchforks flowering ocher in the afterbirth of a now empty room.
i dreamt of the behemoth, stillborn like i dreamt of the monster birds.
the behemoth has many names. at first, Benjamin then Christopher, the saint turned Benedict, and finally:
Julius, the king.
the hand was already dead when I touched it, the skin of my belly stretched like a deflated balloon, tight enough that I could make out the striations in its sharpened teeth.
the ship wrecked me the storm wrecked me their love wrecked me
i became a sequel to myself, the behemoth suckling my breast, as we bathed in fire, to temper a fever of repression.
how could they let this happen? how could they do this? i told you not to make me, i told you:
 the behemoth becomes me.

Hell’s Gatekeepers and the Unholy Trinity: Paradise Lost- Christine Gulley In the second book of Paradise Lost, Satan comes to the gates of Hell where he encounters Sin and Death, his children. This section, lines 648-875, presents what has been called the unholy trinity, which is offered up to be a contrast for book three. We get a narrative and visual form of James 1:15, “Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death”, enabling us to be properly disgusted by sin and death. Yet, Milton’s genius shines through in this passage. These characters can be looked at a group level and also on an individual level, both of which are thought-provoking. The idea of the unholy trinity is clear: Satan as the head with Sin and Death following. In Colossians 1:15, Jesus is called the image of the Invisible God, the firstborn. In line 764, Sin tells Satan “I pleas’d, and with attractive graces won / The most averse, thee chiefly, who full oft / Thyself in me thy perfect image viewing / becam’st enamoured.” Sin was the firstborn and the image of her father, Satan. When she says that Satan was pleased with the image of himself in her, we see a referenParadise_Lost_8ce not only to Echo, but to when God said He is pleased with Christ in Matthew 3:17. Then we have the character of Death, a direct result of Satan’s action through Sin. In John 14:26, Jesus calls the Holy Spirit the Helper “whom the Father will send in my name”. But Death, the helper of Satan, came into existence as a consequence of Sin and is sent because of sin. Also, Christ can be seen as the opposite of sin and death in that he was sinless and that he overcame both. The two trinities, the Holy and the unholy, are in direct contrast. Sin had been “born” out of Satan’s head when he was in heaven (reference to Athena and Zeus and, perhaps, wisdom vs. sin). She was “fair” in his eyes and had won over angels with her “attractive graces”. While she shocked the angels, who were at the time holy, she grew familiar and won them over. This is a sobering truth to us. Satan is the Father of sin and sin can suck us in. When we get caught up in sin, it stops being repulsive to us and it becomes attractive, essentially searing our conscience. In Hebrews, we are urged to “encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called ‘Today,’” so that none of us “will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” In short, the action of Sin as a character is spot on with the action of sin as a theological truth. While his character is somewhat more mysterious to us, Death’s reflects some truth. Death is depicted as a terrifying creature. He is called a monster (675) and a goblin (688) and described as “black as Night / Fierce as ten Furies, [and] terrible as Hell”. Death, without the htumblr_m2a3uuT7GA1r37tz2o1_500ope of redemption, is a paralyzing reality. However, we are often told in the Bible not to be afraid. Romans 6:23 tells us that “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Hebrews 2:14-15 speaks of Christ as the one “that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.” The appearance of the figures is interesting to me. Sin is portrayed as half woman, half snake, but why? She does bear resemblance to Echidna, the “Mother of Monsters” who bore Cerberus (and Sin’s child-dogs are called Cerberean Hell Hounds). But, what is most intriguing is that Satan, who bore Sin, uses his deception to trick Eve, a woman, while he was in the form of a snake. Death, who is described as a shapeless shape, wore something with “the likeness of a Kingly Crown” (line 673). Roman’s 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” Death reigned as a result of Sin. Both characters’ appearances seem to look forward to their effects on Adam and Eve.

#BlackDogs Black Dogs are a whole class of monstrous, canine apparitions prevalent in European folklore, showing up frequently in English and Scottish lore. These mythical creatures are also often known as Hellhounds, and are described as being huge dogs, roughly the size of a calf (though there have been sightings which have placed them as large as horses); covered in thick, shaggy black hair and with glowing red eyes. Despite their name, these creatures are not necessarily black, as there have been reports of them being white, spotted, yellow and even brown. Sometimes, though very rarely, there are reports of Cerberean Black Dogs – meaning they have two or three heads. The Hellhound’s canine teeth are often described as being longer than average, and, to many people, seem to be grinning at some hidden knowledge, rather like a canine Cheshire Cat. Black Dogs may be benevolent; they may be malicious; or they may be neither. These apparitions appear at places that serve as transition archetypes – places such as lonely county rounds, ancient highways, bridges, crossroads, and shallowed entrances. Hellhounds are said to guard treasure or sacred places. More often than not, if you leave a Black Dog alone, it will not bother you but if you attempt to harm one, the consequences are dire. Black Dogs can inflict frightful wounds that may prove fatal. Indeed, in much folklore that describes these creatures, to see one is portent of death, though there have been purported instances of Black Dogs guiding lost travelers to safety.  Black Dogs are also associated with fire – specifically, the flames surrounding the hound and the presence of scorched earth and/or claw marks burned into wood or metal left in the beast’s wake.

Reid Walker Debates The Enfranchising Development
An Enfranchising Development
For Reid Walker, the Net Neutrality Debate is perhaps the most important currently being discussed in forums, seminars, university common rooms, and libertarian societies across the United States. It is now a statement of accepted fact that the Internet is one of the most enfranchising and liberating developments to have been created in the history of scientific and humanitarian endeavor. It has given individuals from every corner of the planet access to information that would have been hitherto buried in membership-only libraries, government archives, company vaults, or simply forgotten as microfilmed artefacts. It has quite simply democratized information channels. No longer do we have to provide reasons to Cerberean gatekeepers acting on behalf of faceless individuals, governments, or other vested-interest groups, intent on keeping information within the remit of their own control centers. Information is power - a fact known all too well by those who have traditionally wielded it. And perhaps unsurprisingly, these agencies are among the loudest to call for the Internet to regarded as a utility - a commodity to be paid for along with the bills for water and electricity. Such agencies are doing their utmost to eradicate the very principle upon which the Internet is founded - open, neutral, and affordable.
As Reid Walker on LinkedIn acknowledges, this is a disheartening and deeply depressing world view. Net Neutrality could be compared to the straw resting on the camel's back. Which will break first? Attacked from all sides by lobbyists and politicians paid by these companies to propose its demolition; forced to defend itself against charges of sensationalism; lambasted for providing a platform for aggressive rhetoric; decried for exposing inconvenient truths - it this truly what democracy should look like? The pursuit of profit overriding that of the interests of the general public? Most people clearly think not, which is why individuals like Reid Walker are playing their part in Washington to help prevent the extirpation of laws that are protecting the future of our freedoms, particularly with regards to the internet.
As Reid Walker asserts, the debate regarding the neutrality of the Internet is perhaps the most important and wide-ranging argument of modern times. It is one in which he has conspicuously participated in from its inception. He has been vocal in his criticisms of its opponents, and has supported its progress to Washington D.C. As he himself somewhat rhetorically asks, "What is Net Neutrality, and why do so many agencies wish to it abolished?" Well, the first part of the question is perhaps easier to answer than the second: Net Neutrality states that an internet provider is disallowed from charging people a higher or lower tariff for visiting certain web pages, and will provide unfettered access to the Internet as a whole rather than to selected domains.
To answer the second part of the question it is necessary to understand the warped mindset of companies such as AT&T and Comcast. In their peurile utopia they would have the power to dictate how much consumers should pay monthly for visiting certain sites such as say, Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter. Naturally it would be more expensive to visit these sites per month, meaning internet fees would rise. Their sole motivation for wanting to do this is not for the good of the future of communications, the dissemination of knowledge for the public good, or the inexhaustible educational advantages that the Internet provides, but purely to fatten their shareholder's bellies and drive up their profit margins. And for Director of Communications, Reid Walker, the Net Neutrality Debate is one to be waged with unflinching intellectual rigor.
