Accidentally stumbled across this little gem - an interesting group - from left - Anna Karen and Stephen Lewis (On the Buses), Sally Thomsett, Paula Wilcox and Richard O'Sullivan (Man About the House), Mollie Sugden (Are You Being Served?) and Brian Murphy (George and Mildred).
Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis and Mollie Sugden are no longer with us - Sally Thomsett and Paula Wilcox are now 74, Richard O'Sullivan 79, and Brian Murphy is 91.

Watching: "Murder, They Hope'
It's on BBC iPlayer, Just started series 2, it's a silly little spin off series, full of british comedians as ex-coach drivers try to find crimes so they can solve them... and I get distracted, then I'm like "WTF, Dorian? but I'm not playing Dragon Age Inquisition" look over to see Ramon Tikaram!
So strange seeing/hearing game voice actors actually on the telly XD

Sorry it has been over a year since I updated Stumbled Into Laugher, Stumbled Into You...
I swear I will be updating it very soon! Please be patient 🙏🏻
Thank you for everyone's love of the story and you've enjoyed it as much as you have.
I have genuinely been a little overwhelmed by how much attention it has so I really do intend to continue it and finish it, thanks everyone!
Just FYI, I have never met James so I can't say if the way I portray him, or the same goes for Rhys James, whether they are accurate portrayals whatsoever. It is speculated so I think that should be made aware. I don't expect to meet them, but hey I have Hugh Dennis so I guess it's not totally out of question! 😅
I can only imagine that Rhys and James are at least slightly like the version of them I have created so we'll see if it still remains enjoyable for you all 😁😆
Stay tuned, cheers x

Note
I miss when British comedy used to be a bit disgusting and vile and weird and freaky. All comedies now seem so sanitised and everyone is so pretty.

" . . . a good thrashing!" — Gourmet Night — season one, episode 5
The cast of Fawlty Towers, with a couple of notable guests.
top row: Connie Booth (Polly), John Cleese (Basil), Prunella Scales (Sybil), Andrew Sachs (Manuel) bottom row: Joan Sanderson (guest Mrs. Richards), Geoffrey Palmer (guest Dr. Price), Ballard Berkeley (permanent resident Major)
First episode of Season One aired September 19, 1975 - second season aired in 1979. Six episodes in each season.
Inept and manic English hotel owner and manager, Basil Fawlty, isn't cut out for his job. He's intolerant, rude and paranoid. All hell frequently breaks loose as Basil tries to run the hotel, constantly under verbal attack (and sometime physical) from his unhelpful wife Sybil, and hindered by the incompetent, but easy target, Manuel, their Spanish waiter.
Tumblr media
The Fawlty Towers hotel sign has its letters missing, or scrambled up to make new words. The sign presents a different error with each episode. This image was for The Anniversary — season two, episode 11.
The writers were John Cleese and Connie Booth.
