some things i like, some things i don't: cleansers
*The beginnings of a record of the skincare that works (for me) and the skincare that doesn’t (for me), for no reason other than I want to. Very self-indulgent. I am no expert. I lived in Korea twice and, as it turns out, I am a skincare girlie* CLEANSER Current: Dr Althea Amino Acid Gentle Bubble Cleanser – works with my combination skin; controls the oiliness I struggle with without making…

Review of banila co.’s Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original
banila co is a Korean brand that believes great skin is the best base for great makeup. Their Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original is designed as an all-in-one sherbet-type cleanser that melts into the skin to gently remove makeup, exfoliate and hydrate in one simple step. Key ingredients include onsen-sui (detoxifying, hydrating, anti-irritation, gently exfoliates, reduces the appearance of wrinkles), tocopheryl acetate (antioxidant, prevents skin damage from UV rays, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, wound healing), bamboo extract (soothing, adds vitality, anti-inflammatory, removes dry skin, antioxidant, healing, hydrating), rooibos extract (antioxidant, soothing, anti-aging, refines the look of wrinkles and fine lines, hydrating, sensitive skin-friendly) and acerola fruit extract (antioxidant, prevents aging, evens and brightens skin tones, boosts collagen production, hydrating, moisturizing). This product retails for between $19-24 USD, you can get it here for $16 + shipping.
Ingredients
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, PEG-10 Isostearate, Synthetic Wax, Onsen-Sui, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Lithospermum Erythrorhizon (Gromwell) Root Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bambusa Vulgaris (Bamboo) Leaf/Stem Extract, Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Extract, Angelica Archangelica (Norwegian Angelica) Root Extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Polydiethyleneglycol Adipate/IPDI Copolymer, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Acrylates/Methoxy PEG-15 Methacrylate Copolymer
Tumblr media
This balm contains 100 ml (3.38 oz) and has a slight acerola scent.
Tumblr media
The product comes in a sturdy plastic tub and it holds a lot of product.
Tumblr media
The product is a typical balm type of cleanser that melts down and gets oily. (The lipstick here is Beauty Bakerie's Matte Lip Whip in Cranberry Stiletto).
Tumblr media
The lipstick I used is one that stays glued to my lips for 8+ hours and this balm really attacks it.
Tumblr media
I'd say this removed 99.5 percent of the lipstick is removed. This is seriously a very hard lipstick to remove though.
Recommended use is to use the spatula included to scoop balm. Gently massage in circular motions onto dry skin using your fingertips to break down all makeup and residue. Add water to emulsify the oil and continue massaging. Rinse well with lukewarm water. After using, the first thing to note, this does have fragrance, it's light but can definitely be an irritant. The balm itself is pretty standard if you've ever used a balm, but this is one of the most popular ones out there. It does have a sherbet-y type texture and starts to melt into an oil very quickly on contact. As you can see in the above pictures this definitely does a great job of removing makeup and should remove most if not almost all makeup in general pretty nicely. The ingredients in this cleansing balm are very nourishing and vitamin-rich and after using it leaves the skin very hydrated and fresh with no dryness or tightness. It doesn't have a super oily texture that gets left on the skin after rinsing like some balms. It's very safe around the eyes and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. This is a very solid cleansing balm and a great one for people who've never tried a cleansing balm. I'd recommend this to anyone except someone with extreme sensitivity.
What I like: this cleansing balm is very nice and smooth, it does a great job of removing makeup and it doesn't leave an oily residue on the skin. It doesn't leave the skin tight or dry at all and it's really quite gentle. What I don't like: this product has a fragrance to it.
Pros:
Removes makeup nicely
Doesn't leave an oily residue
Gentle
Effective
Removes most makeup very effectively
Doesn't leave skin tight or dry
Leaves skin smooth
Product rinses cleanly
Cons:
Fragrance
Would I buy again?
Yes
Rating: 9/10

Makeup Finds: Banila Co Prime Primer Classic
This is one of three mini primers included in the Banila Co Prime Primer minis set. I bought the set when I was looking for a new primer. I saw that the set was only P1100 and it has the three variants of Banila Co’s primers. So I got it without a second thought. I love Banila’s primers. It’s one of the best primers I’ve tried. The only thing that kept me from buying this primer again and again…

BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying: The Top Choice for Sensitive Skin
Tumblr media
In recent years, the rise of cleansing balms has make way for a gentler and more effective alternative to traditional makeup removers and cleansers. With their unique texture, these balms are applied as a solid and then melt into an oil-like consistency upon contact with the skin or water. This makes them incredibly easy to use, leaving the skin feeling clean, refreshed, and nourished.
Among the most popular and well-known cleansing balms is the BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying, which has garnered significant attention and praise in the beauty industry. In this review, I will put this viral cleansing balm to the test and share my experience about its unique formulation, effectiveness, and overall benefits for the skin.
BANILA CO
BANILA CO has risen to immense popularity as a South Korean beauty brand, largely due to its range of high-quality and innovative skincare products. The brand has also been able to attract numerous celebrity endorsements, including Min Hyo-rin and Jeonghan from the K-Pop group Seventeen.
The brand is renowned for its innovative cleansing balm, Clean it Zero, which is sold globally every 3.1 seconds due to its impressive effectiveness. With six different versions of the balm available, tailored to various skin types, BANILA CO has become a household name.
In this review, we will be specifically focusing on the purifying version, designed for those with sensitive skin.

Sherbet Formula
BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying is made of a sherbet formula that does not flow down your skin even after emulsifying. This method helps extend the lifespan of the product but it also promotes a more hygienic cleansing method.
Seven Herbs That Soothes and Calm the Skin
The purifying formula of the cleansing balm is formulated with skin-friendly ingredients, preventing any irritation to the sensitive skin. The formula includes seven herbs to soothe and calm the skin while cleansing it deeply without disturbing its natural moisture balance. Additionally, these herbs aid in moisturising and keeping one’s skin hydrated even after cleansing.
The Seven Herbs
Centella, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Asian Knotweed Extract, Chinese Liquorice Extract, Green Tea Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Chamomile Extract

BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying Review
The first thing I noticed about this cleansing balm is its unique texture. It comes in a solid form but quickly melts into an oil-like consistency after massaging it against the skin. This consistency allows me to cleanse my face efficiently, removing my makeup in one step.
Although I had a positive experience with the BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying, I did notice that it was unable to completely remove makeup from certain parts of my face when I used my fingers to spread the balm. Specifically, areas like the sides of my nose and corners of my eyes required a bit more effort to fully clean.
Because of this, I would suggest using the balm as part of a double cleansing routine, where a cleanser is used to fully remove any remaining traces of makeup and impurities. By doing so, you can ensure that your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepped for the rest of your skincare routine.
On the other hand, you can incorporate a cleansing tool in addition to the balm. While using your fingers is a great way to massage the balm into your skin, a cleansing tool like a cleansing brush can help to effectively target and clean hard-to-reach areas.
After rinsing off the BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying, I was impressed with how soft and smooth my skin felt. Not only was there no redness or dryness, but my skin also felt supple and healthy.
All in all, BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying is recommended for tired individuals with sensitive skin. It removes heavy makeup, impurities and residue while maintaining the skin’s hydration levels.
You can purchase the  BANILA CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying from Watsons.

How I have Influenced my Boyfriend's Skincare Routine
Check out how I influenced my boyfriend's skincare routine and changed his life forever ♡
For most of us ladies, we have grown really attached to our skincare routines. Some say it is either a morning or night ritual, a healthy dose of daily self-care. When I read these articles or see such stories I always wonder about the men and their relationship with skincare. Now I know there is a small group of American men that have gotten into skincare without the influence of their…
