Avrutis Chaim Avraamovich (1928-2007) - painter, graphic artist. He studied in the private art studio of N.V. Sinitsyn (1937-1940), at the Moscow Art School (1940-1947) in the class of V.V. Pochilov, then at the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I.Surikova (1947-1953). In 1954-1967 he lived in Novosibirsk. At the turn of the 50-60s, he joined the "severe style." In 1954-67 he lived in Novosibirsk. He worked a lot in the field of book illustration for children. He created a number of cycles - "The Great French Revolution." A whole series of works is devoted to Jewish topics. Participant of group and personal exhibitions. Member of the KH.
