why the fuck did I just see an instagram post from Zoe Saldana - from 2 days ago!!! - that reiterated the FALSE claims about the Oct. 7th attack? Just a bunch of unsubstantiated allegations. Stick to the facts - Israelis were killed, some taken hostage but there's no evidence of babies being beheaded or even of rape. Of course that doesn't mean the lives lost that day mean anything less, but spreading such misinformation is never a good idea. It leads to more false assumptions about 'the enemy' to dehumanize them and make them out to be the worst kind of monsters - the kind we 'don't negotiate' with. This leads to people like Zoe thinking that carpet bombing civilians is 'actually necessary' since we're dealing with such a 'horrific' group of people.
The hostages that have been released actually talk about relatively kind treatment by Hamas. Can you say the same for the Palestinians (including children) being held in Israeli prisons?
The pearl-clutching at lies spread by Israel and yet deafening silence to the actual footage of Palestinians being slaughtered is telling.

They only value certain hostages.
She thanks Biden for his 'unshakable moral conviction'. What does that conviction look like? Denying aid to Palestinians. Funding the Israeli military so they can continue to commit war crimes. Refusing to tell Israel to turn back on the power and water to the besieged Gaza Strip. Spreading more lies fed to him by Israel. Refusing to call for a ceasefire. Telling Israel that they have every right to do whatever it takes to 'destroy' Hamas - which means slaughtering every single person in Gaza. How is any of that getting the hostages back?
So many celebrities signing their name on a post riddled with lies.
Come on, people - at least use facts to try to back your case, pro-genocide as it may be.
Don't support indiscriminate murder of civilians and in the same breath claim you want 'freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace". There is no 'peace' in apartheid. There is no peace in genocide, in mass relocation, in discrimination and denial of basic human rights. There is not peace in that.

Supporters of #NoHostageLeftBehind Open Letter to Joe Biden - Part 1/2
The letter consists of lies, no mention of Palestinian genocides, and a call for ceasefire.
Read the full letter:
Dear President Biden,
We are heartened by Friday's release of the two American hostages, Judith Ranaan and her daughter Natalie Ranaan [Raanan] and by today's release of two Israelis, Nurit Cooper and Yocheved Lifshitz, whose husbands remain in captivity.
But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered—women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.
Thank you for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people, who have been terrorized by Hamas since the group's founding over 35 years ago, and for the Palestinians, who have also been terrorized, oppressed, and victimized by Hamas for the last 17 years that the group has been governing Gaza.
We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages.
We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.

ZADANIE 5

Witajcie.
Tradycyjnie - dziękuję za przesłane w tym tygodniu prace.
Nowe i stare rysunki proszę przesyłać jak zawsze na maila: [email protected]
Będę w razie potrzeby wpisywał tutaj swoje uwagi.
Dzisiejszym zadaniem będzie wykonanie RYSUNKU z natury W “CZYSTEJ” CZERNI I BIELI.. Wykonać należy prace maksymalnie skontrastowane, uproszczone, zwracając uwagę na zachowanie równowagi pomiędzy jasnymi i ciemnymi polami.
Ustawiamy w tym celu martwą naturę - może być też jakaś figurka - np. jak u mnie - Mikołaj z porcelany. Jeżeli ktoś lubi trudne wyzwania - namawiamy kogoś z rodziny do pozowania. Oświetlamy ostrym światłem wywołującym silny kontrast. Szkicujemy całość np. ołówkiem - od razu zwracając uwagę na kompozycję naszej pracy.
Tym razem polecam zacząć od zaznaczenia miejsc światła i zastanowienia się jak praca będzie wyglądać po zamalowaniu reszty kolorem czarnym. Czy bieli nie będzie za mało? Jakie kształty nam się pojawią? Pozwalamy pracować wyobraźni. Upraszczamy wszystkie zacienione miejsca do kształtów - znaków. Jeżeli czerni będzie za dużo - szukamy więcej pól białych - "dociągamy" do nich obszary jasno-szare. Chodzi o odpowiednie wyważenie kontrastowych miejsc. Ważne są także same kształty. Mniejsze pole bieli o ciekawym kształcie może "działać" intensywniej niż dość regularny owal. Trzeba wtedy zrównoważyć je większą ilością pól czarnych. Brzmi to dość zawile ale podczas wykonywania tego zadania - z czasem - zaczyna się pewne rzeczy robić intuicyjnie. Zauważa się, że praca została "zabita" zbyt dużą ilością czerni i jest mniej ciekawa. Na szczęście jeżeli rysujemy ołówkiem - zawsze możemy popracować gumką i odzyskać pewne miejsca, wyciągnąć je z cienia na światło.Jeżeli rysujemy od razu markerem zawsze można wyciąć kształt z kawałka białej kartki i zakleić fragment zrobiony na czarno a nie pasujący.Można to ćwiczenie zrobić również kredą na czarnym bristolu - w tym celu nanosimy jedynie rozświetlone miejsca - "szukamy" plam białych. Można też zarysować całą kartkę ołówkiem na ciemno-szaro i biele "rysować" gumką - takie ćwiczenie uczy swobodnego kładzenia plam, odwagi w rysowaniu - im więcej rysujemy i zmazujemy, tym mniej martwimy się popełnianiem błędów. Uświadamiamy sobie, że wszystko można na kartce korygować więc nie ma się czego bać szkicując.Polecam wykonywanie tych - w zasadzie grafik - na mniejszych formatach (np. A5) ale w większej ilości. Szybko analizujemy - zapisujemy myśli na kartce, korygujemy i przechodzimy do następnej pracy - z tej samej martwej natury pod innym kątem.Warto podpatrywać mistrzów - polecam przeanalizować prace żyjącego w końcu XIX wieku - Aubrey Beardsley'a a ze współczesnych - twórcy komiksowego Franka Millera (autora sfilmowanej serii "Sin City"). Analizujcie ich prace, zwracając uwagę jak "wyważona" jest w nich ilość miejsc jasnych i czarnych. Niewielki detal dodany jest czasem w miejscu gdzie - gdyby nie on - czegoś by brakowało. Jak starannie wrysowują oni kształty sprawiając, że każda plama - gdy patrzymy tylko na nią - już wydaje się ciekawa.
