Secret bonus chapter 9 - Dreams of the Garden
After my partner suggested Lumier could practice drawing Furina’s, Nahida’s and Wanderer’s Fontainian ball outfits by putting them on Aranara first, and Lumier actually DID so, this chapter happened. I need not explain myself further. :]

Friend of the day: This is Ararycan. They are pretty unique, even among the Aranara. They are the only blue one and have a fascination with ancient technology. Come to think of it, a blue-haired doctor from these parts also liked old robots...

I have to want to need to boost this art by ✨Lumier for 🍃The wind guides, the forest remembers... So beautiful so peaceful so cute... The most comforting thing... Dreaming about coffee and holding his new heart close, while being tucked in by his Aranara bestie. 💙💙💙
That night, in his newly furnished room in the Sanctuary, he found the little blue flower he kept tucked away in his nightstand still hadn’t wilted. And as he opened the window to let the cool, guiding wind blow in, he could swear it carried a warm, familiar hum back to him, from somewhere in the woods.
He quietly hummed back.
The forest will look after you.
He gazed out across the moonlit Nation of Wisdom, running the cloth of his wind glider between idle fingers, then glancing at the little doll he’d put on the windowsill with him with a small smile. His Vision pulsed a soft, contented blue as the breeze swirled around him, gently ruffling his hair.
There might not be any roots and branches in the sky, but he, suspended between heaven and earth, he who’d cut away every connection he’d ever had, he found himself growing new ones after all.
Wherever his wanderings would take him, from now on, he was home.
