Today: This is how the new stage began
They promised more fun, more entertainment and less news and they delivered. At least that’s how it started this Monday, December 5 the new stage of ‘Hoy Dia’, on Telemundo’s morning show, with major renovations.
Presented by the only one left from the previous stage, Adamari Lopez, Penelope Menchaca, Chyky Bombom, and Andrea Meza made their debut. With colorful dresses, as well as the new set…

📸 ATP official website
The day in the Asuncion Challenger started with a possibly exciting doubles final between a pair of leading Latin American NextGen players, Gonzalo Bueno/Alvaro Guillen Meza (despite the latter is slightly older, currently 21 years old, than the recent U-20 NextGen finals criteria), who defeated Andrea Collarini/Genaro Alberto Olivieri 7-5, 3-6, [10-5] in the semifinals, and first seeds Boris Arias/Federico Zeballos, who defeated fourth seeds Fernando Romboli/Marcelo Zormann 6-4, 1-6, [11-9] despite the chaotic second set. Although this match was also expected to deliver with their dynamics, it was not the case as soon as B. Arias/F. Zeballos clicked their rhythm in.
In just three games, B. Arias/F. Zeballos had 2 forehand volley winners in between 3 points not only to create their initial break point but also to convert it in the deciding point to break 2-1, followed by a consolidation to 3-1. After G. Bueno/A. Guillen Meza held their serves to 3-2, they out-rallied B. Arias/F. Zeballos from the net, finishing with A. Guillen Meza's working volley for a one-point lead before the former pair had their break points, which were fumbled before the first seeds held their serves to 4-2.
The sixth game hold turned out to play a massive role because B. Arias' forehands struck again, this time opening the gate before F. Zeballos' forehand return ace secured their break point conversion 2 points later to 5-2. The all-Bolivian pair then ended up taking the first set 6-2 thanks to a flawless service game, backed up with their returning or follow-up anticipation to dominate the flow.
