Me, with the unpopular opinion that, in a wq lives au, where wq marries jc, novel canon wwx is not taking well the news about chengqing marriage

Idk if I've mentioned it here or if anyone else has thought of it before but I have some Thoughts™️ on WWX's core and how it relates to his demonic cultivation.

Hear me out here.

So it's established that wwx is very talented as a cultivator, yes? To the point that he's even better than JC and on par with LWJ who is considered one of the best of their generation.

What if the reason that WWX was able to hold so much demonic energy was precisely BECAUSE he was an amazing cultivator on top of being smart? LWJ states in one of the adaptations (idk which) that demonic cultivation will corrode WWX's core.

But! Because (to my knowledge) the only people who had really TRIED demonic cultivation before were normies trying to gain power OR regular cultivators who switched methods, that leaves WWX as a bit of a wild card.

But the point I'm making here is that WWX has no core- but he used to. The great space his core used to occupy has already been carved out, he was already used to havi g large amounts of energy. So what if when he removed the core, THAT was what made the difference in how long he managed to last channeling so much negative energy in his body?

Idk. This is just one of those Things I Like to Think About.

Favourite character: lan wangji babeey!! listen. we love a man with strict morals being forced to question the actual morality of those morals and and changing his behavior to adjust to his discoveries.  we love the growth.  we love the devotion.  we love the inherent pain of mourning the love of your life for 16 years after you desperately tried to protect him from the world and himself and failing to do so.  also wang yibo hot

Funniest character: jingyi is like. such a fucking wild card ride or die bitch i love him SO MUCH everything that comes out of his mouth is pure gold.  the juniors in general but jingyi is king

Best-looking character: i’m taking this as best dressed because lbr the entire cast is just very attractive people and that’s really too much for me to narrow down.  that being said i also didn’t narrow down best dressed very well but this is my blog i can do what i want:  jiang cheng did not come to play he is dressed to the nines 24/7 he said you can’t raise an entire sect from the ground up while dealing with extreme trauma if you ain’t looking cute!! my mans got a live in tailor i swear to god ALSO wei wuxian is getting in here for going with the aesthetic always.  he grew up in a town surrounded by flowers and pastels and his adopted clan’s color being purple but did that stop him from repping black and red all day every day? no.  he looked cozy, he looked good, he looked exactly like what i wanted to look like when i was ages 12-15 really a+ work. demonic cultivation hot.  in conclusion yunmeng is the real fashion center of this universe because yanli ALSO looks -

3 favourite ships: wangxian obviously.  i haven’t gotten really into it yet but i am fascinated by 3zun cause like the inherent messiness of that.... intriguing... anyway yanli x being alive and wen qing x being alive. generally, women being alive and happy

Least favourite character: jgy die bitch. close runner up is lan qiren  homophobic old men who send the children they raised to brutal punishments will die by my sword

Least favourite ship: okay. this one took so long i was really thinking but there’s not really one i wholeheartedly dislike that i have seen? i mean i’m sure there’s like wild xue yang/yanli or some shit out there that i wouldn’t jive with but so far the ships i’ve seen, even if i haven’t been entirely into, i’m at least intrigued by, interested in, or understand.  i don’t love jixuan and yanli in the show like in my ideal world she divorces him, takes all his money, and raises jin ling (jiang ling?) in yunmeng and he is absolutely spoiled by his uncles and wwx continues to attack jixuan on sight.  but even that is eh so yeah idk don’t really have one.

Reason why I watch it: because i’m soft as hell and every aspect of this show turns me to mush next question

Why I started watching it: i kept seeing it on my dash and honestly needed something to latch onto during isolation and i knew you really liked it and your taste is impeccable so
