Tag game!
Thank you for the tag @winter-turtle
1. why did you choose your url?
When I first started social media type stuff, I had just gotten a kitten named Pogo. She was the first cat I’d ever had who was all mine, not my family’s. Hence Pogokitten. Unfortunately Pogo passed away last year very unexpectedly (she was only 9) and I miss my kitty lots. Since then Pogokitten has just been one of the ways I remember her and it’s sort of stuck with me after 9 years.
2. any side-blogs? if you have them, name them and why you have them.
This is my side-blog, and I’ve got an art side blog @pogokittenart that I haven’t touched in a long while, probably at least 2 years now. This blog is for fic stuff, which is where most of my focus is anyway now, and the art one was for when I was doing art more often in college.
My main blog is @pogokitten2 but seriously, I almost never use it anymore and it’s mostly weeb stuff.
3. how long have you been on Tumblr?
Oh jeez I dunno, uh, maybe since 2011 or 2012? I made it back in high school.
4. do you have a queue tag?
No. I queue things once in the bluest of moons.
5. why did you start your blog in the first place?
I started this blog not too long after I started writing fic again in my senior year of college. I wanted a place to advertise my fics and interact with other authors. It actually started out exclusively for Chrobin (a ship from FE:A) and then I just sort of scooted over to Irondad and general writing memes.
6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?
I drew my Icon. It’s me, in my very cartoony style.
7. why did you choose your header?
It’s a screen shot from the anime “My Roommate is a Cat”. I just thought that particular scene was relatable, and well... cats.
8. what's your post with the most notes?
No clue! If I had to guess I’d say either one of the links to STARWS or maybe the Friendly Neighborhood exchange fic I posted directly to tumblr.
9. how many mutuals do you have?
I wanna say, maybe 10. Not sure.
10. how many followers do you have?
109
11. how many people do you follow?
183 I don’t know how many of those blog are active anymore and I never think to go back and clean house.
12. have you ever made a shit post?
Probs. I actually drop a few here in there in the two discord servers I’m in.
13. how often do you use tumblr each day?
Constantly.
14. did you have a fight/argument with another lot once? who won?
I try really hard not to get into fights. I’m pretty chill and my job literally revolves around client relations and conflict management. I can’t even remember the last argument I had, but I doubt I won. I’m generally a doormat, especially face to face.
15. how do you feel about "you need to reblog this" posts?
I don’t like them. There are better ways to get people involved in good causes aside from guilt. It’s not productive for either side in the long run.
16. do you like tag games?
They’re super fun, but I never have anyone to tag because by the time I get tagged, my handful other mutuals that would probably like to play have already been tagged, lol!
17. do you like ask games?
Yup.
18. which of your mutual do you think is Tumblr famous?
I think @yes-i-am-happyaspie, and @lost-lunar-wolf, are pretty up there in the fic community.
19. do you have a crush on a mutual?
No.
20. tags?
Well, I guess @yes-i-am-happyaspie and @lost-lunar-wolf if they haven’t played and they want to.

Tumblr media
At the beginning of 2019, I mentioned I would keep track of every game I finished, and sum up my thoughts on all of them at the end of the year. And now I’m half regretting it because I’m gonna have to write out a short summary for each of these games. Oh well. You’ll be able to find all of them under the Read More, if you’re interested. Will be including an arbitrary score next to each game based on how much I enjoyed them.
Just some fun numbers before we jump in to the meat of the post- In 2019, I beat a total of 41 games. That’s an average of 3.41 games per month, which actually isn’t too bad of a rate!
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (5/5) 100% complete! Beaten twice! Without doubt, the best Smash game yet. You didn’t need me to tell you this- if you’ve got a Switch, then you’ve probably got Smash.
Bayonetta (4/5) A classic character action game, and an immense source of nostalgia for me. Play this game or I’ll break your knees.
Bayonetta 2 (4/5) I actually went into this game with low expectations, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as the first game. Fortunately I was stupid and wrong and ended up loving it just as much as Bayo1.
Splatoon 2 (3/5) The story wasn’t particularly the most enjoyable thing ever, although I did sink a pretty decent amount of time into the multiplayer. Still not my go-to game if I’m looking for a quick match.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (4/5) It was enjoyable, although kinda started dragging on towards the end. The side content started feeling very repetitive, especially the shrines- but it was still a genuinely great time.
DOOM (2016) (3/5) I raged a wee bit, gonna admit. Although it was fun, I had a lot of frustrations with the late game.
Cthon (3/5) Doom, but a Lovecraftian roguelike. I’d recommend picking it up on Steam, it’s only USD$4.99 regularly, and USD$1.69 during the Steam sale currently going on.
Fire Emblem: Awakening (4/5) I suck at strategy games because I’m a smoothbrain, but FE:A is totally one of the best 3DS games ever released. Lucina is my daughter and the story made me cry.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition (2/5) I already played the 3DS version, and went into the DE expecting it to be a bit more enjoyable- and while it was, I did find myself getting bored rather quickly.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (5/5) The best TES game ever released according to many fans. While I do still prefer Skyrim more, I can see exactly why so many love it. Planning on returning to do the DLCs soon.
Night in the Woods (4/5) I hate story-centric games, but I liked NITW a lot. The exploration was nice, seeing the town change day-to-day was nice, and the ending was freaky in a good way
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (4/5) An incredibly fun game, very similar to Left 4 Dead but fantasy themed and with rat monsters. Launched my obsession with the Skaven.
Fallout 3 (2/5) Yeah just play New Vegas instead mate.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (3/5) If you separate it from the rest of the relatively mediocre AC series, Black Flag is pretty gud. I like being a pirate. I don’t like tailing missions. I really don’t like ship tailing missions.
Ib (3/5) I played this game a few times through during my obsession with RPGMaker horror games. Still holds up pretty strong, although it’s a wee bit short.
Amorous (3/5) 100% complete! Yeah it’s just a lewd furry dating sim. Does have a decent character maker that I use as a reference for my fursona now though!
Way of the Samurai 3 (4/5) I don’t know why this game slipped under everyone’s radar back on release. Just overall a very Nice samurai simulator, albeit with some combat that takes some getting used to.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (5/5) The best MonHun released yet. World is great, but for some reason it just doesn’t hold me like GU does. Maybe I’m just a boomer.
Super Mario Odyssey (3/5) It’s definitely what you’d expect out of Mario. Not a bad game by any means, but I just didn’t really keep attached to it like most others seemed to.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (4/5) I like being a lawyer, and I love the serotonin rush that I get when cornering a criminal on their logic.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard (4/5) The first RE game I’ve played to completion. I don’t regret it at all, because it was super good. Got some great DLC as well.
SoulCalibur VI (Libra of Soul + Soul Chronicle) (4/5) Loved the character creation, loved gitting gud- did not love some of the side missions in LoS because holy Hell a lot of them are bullshit.
Borderlands 2 (4/5) I hated the first Borderlands, and went into 2 expecting more of the same. Ended up leaving surprisingly satisfied. Great loot n’ shoot all around.
Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition (4/5) It took me a few tries to really get into this one, but once I did I was totally hooked. The ending battle could’ve used a little more love, but it was still by all means a great game.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (4/5) Despite being a clearly rushed game with a drop in quality towards the last few hours, VtmB is still one of the most solid action RPGs I’ve ever played. Still not exactly gonna excuse the last couple of boss battles though.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (5/5) This went from “tumblr meme game that I had no interest in” to “one of the best fucking games I have ever played, and it hurt me deeply.” I don’t think I’ve ever been so invested in a story before, and the trial system was very refreshing.
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (5/5) How did they make a story with twists even more mindblowing than the first game? While THH invested me into the series, GD solidified my newfound love for it.
Which (3/5) 100% complete! A very short experimental horror game by indie animator and developer Mike Inel. Not bad at all, and completely worth the free download.
Skullgirls: 2nd Encore (3/5) I never really got good at this game, although the story mode was still very enjoyable. Not particularly something I’m probably gonna be coming back to.
Hollow Knight (5/5) Absolutely spectacular Metroidvania that gives quite a unique challenge. Fell in love with this game so bad that I was constantly thinking about it at work. Please stop comparing it to Dark Souls, it’s such an amazing game on its own merit without needing that comparison.
Undertale (5/5) It’s Undertale, do you really need me to tell you how amazing it is?
Devil May Cry 3 (Dante story) (4/5) Extremely fun and challenging. If you haven’t played this game yet then you are wrong. Beating the first Vergil battle without being hit filled me with very unneeded confidence- the spectacular final battle against Vergil stripped that confidence away.
Ion Fury (3/5) Very challenging, but still super enjoyable. The heroine is a genuine badass, loved hearing her quips. The final boss was garbo though.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (5/5) Sekiro absolutely deserved the GOTY award. Loved the combat, loved the challenge, loved everything about this beautiful game.
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition (5/5) DQXI singlehandedly changed my opinion on JRPGs. A story that’s equal parts awesome and tearjerking, combat that feels truly satisfying, and a quirky world that had me hooked for all 98+ hours.
Danganronpa Another Story: Ultra Despair Girls (4/5) While it absolutely was a good game, something about it didn’t really hold the charm that the other Danganronpa games had. The story was still superb, and the twist at the end was hooh.
Spyro the Dragon (3/5) 120% complete! The nostalgia factor drew me in, the level design kept me. Except for Tree Tops, fuck you Tree Tops.
WarioWare Gold (3/5) Packed with the best microgames from WarioWare’s history, but not enough content to keep me there past the main story mode.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D (3/5) MGS3 is one of my favorite games ever, but the 3DS port’s framerate issues really killed the fun for me.
Halo: Reach (4/5) The story mode was good, but the multiplayer was absolutely sublime. I raged, I cheered, I had the fun I missed out on growing up without an Xbox.

video games!
Favorite game from the last 5 years? DA:I. Literally no one is shocked, but anyone who knew me before I got into it can attest how fast and hard I fell for the franchise.
Most nostalgic game? Legend of Mana. Age of Mythology. Ragnarok Online. Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete.
Game that deserves a sequel? Sequels scare me a little, but if it had a proper one, I’d love to see one for FF Type-0. Maybe a spin-off for Ghost Trick.
Game that deserves a remaster? FF Type 0, Sid Meier’s Pirates. Lunar. Legend of Mana (would love to see the Jumi Arc especially). FF9 (so hard to play looking like that kdjsl), DA:O.
Favorite game series? I wanna say Dragon Age because I actually went back and played the older titles AND replayed Inquisition AND replayed the rest. I don’t do replays E V E R so consider me shocked by my passion. I like Pokemon but I’m burnt out on it.
I tend to buy most titles from Zero Escape, Professor Layton, Danganronpa and Phoenix Wright too.
Favorite genre? JRPGs by a sliiiight margin over WRPGs but I love all RPGs. I also like puzzle games and dating sims.
Least favorite genre? FPS!! UGH.... I can’t do it. Lordt it is a struggle. Roguelikes frustrate me too.
Favorite song from a game? In Circles from Transistor. Or anything from Transistor. Answers or Dragonsong from FF14. City Ruins (Shade) + A beautiful song from Nier Automata.
Favorite character from a game? I love Alistair so much. I like Automata’s design for 2B.
Favorite ship from a game? Red/Transistor. Reader/Hedwyn. Pearl/Elazul from Legend of Mana. Adell/Rozalin from Disgaea 2. Cherche/Stahl from FE:A. Hawkebela. I can’t really think of big ships of mine in games that doesn’t involve OC/main lol.
Favorite voice actor from a game? THE SWORD BOYFRIEND FROM TRANSISTOR LMAO. Logan Cunningham’s Voice Acting is sooooo good!!
Favorite cutscene? FF14′s End of an Era gives me chills like no other. Even without context it made me cry.
Favorite Boss? Favorite boss? Sophia from FF14. Favorite boss fight?  Alexander Prime from FF14. Favorite boss from a non-MMO, I’d say Sibyl from Transistor for aesthetic.
First Console? SEGA Genesis
Current Console or Consoles? PS4, 3DS, PC
Console you want? A Switch? Wouldn’t say it’s a mighty need tho
Place from a game that you’d like to visit? Limsa Lominsa from FF14. Vane from Lunar. Val Royeaux, the Winter Palace, Kirkwall from DA. Illium in ME. Lumina, Domina, Geo, Polpota Harbor from Legend of Mana. Traverse Town from KH1. Altissia from FF15. Lutie, Juno and Aldebaran from Ragnarok Online. Nohr in Fire Emblem. Lumiose City, Castelia City and Goldenrod City from Pokemon
Place from a game that you’d like to live in? Cloudbank from Transistor (before the Process). Home from Legend of Mana. Twilight Town from KH2. Hugel and Amatsu from Ragnarok Online. Val Royeaux from DA.
Ridiculous crossover that would never happen but would be super fun?  MMMmmmm Generally not a fan of crossovers, and the universe already gifted us Kingdom Hearts.
Book that would make a good game? Something set in the Gentleman Bastard sequence or Grishaverse for RPGs!! Six of Crows, man.... would be so good.
Show/Movie that would make a good game? Uhh, kinda weeby but I think Made in Abyss would make a good MMO. I’d love to play a Pacific Rim RPG. Maybe ATLA?? A proper HP MMO.... or how about Penny Dreadful where I give Vanessa the life she deserves. Inception.
Games you want to play? I wanna play AC: Odyssey, but ain’t nobody got time.
Have you gotten 100% completion in a game? The only games I’ve ever bothered 100%-ing are the ones that GIVE you 100% for completing the main story L O L
Have you cried over a game? I’m a fucking crybaby I’ll cry over anything I’m emotionally attached to. Surprisingly, To The Moon did not make me cry.
What power-up or ability would you want in real life? The power to reprogram my entire city according to my aesthetic?? Summoning a Carbuncle?? TELEPORTING SO I CAN MEET MY FRIENDS

In which it gets sappy
Tagged by the amazing @lethesomething!!
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
So uh. BS is actually short for bittersweet, but now it doubles as my in-joke for BS in whateverCourse -- hence the in. So BS in oranges.
Then it’s bittersweetoranges because i read this fic called bittersweet and it was damn good to me at the time. Also my favorite fruit is orange.
...I’m bot good at giving names nor titles. Haha.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos).
Hm. Overall, that would be my KuroYachi one-shot The Lights in the Sky are Stars. It was sort of my love letter to the KuroYachi ship, and so I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be able to add on to it.
For subscriptions that would be my still unfinished brofest piece, The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae. This one is my bid at making an interesting take on certain characters and dynamics in a dark fantasy setting. Futakuchi is the lead if only because @haruhi02 accidentally gave me his name when I asked for random characters.
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
A freezing link from Breath of the Wild. Well, why not? Haha. I love Link, I love Breath of the Wild, and when I resurfaced back on tumblr botw recently came out and also the free icons.
(the rest is under a cut because it’s long and sappy)
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Well. I won’t name favorites. Frequent commenters tho... they’d be my friends from chat, so shoutout to @lethesomething and @haruhi02 because you guys are great.
To be fair, I don’t think I post frequently enough for people to keep their eyes peeled for me.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Boy, do I. Basically anything in my bookmarks are the things I regularly return to read. Quite notable, however is anything by bigspoonnoya. God. I love her work. From the HQ to the BNHA to the YOI.
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I bookmark more than I subscribed. Buuuuuuuuut I’m subscribed to a grand total of 4 works, and I’ve bookmarked 62 fics.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Fantasy. Hands down. There’s three-ish urban ones, then there’s two full-on fantasy pieces. The rest are slice-of-life.
There’s just something about fantasy that makes me really happy. It might be the freedom to make, or that I like using fantasy as a substitute for when I want to comment on current events. But usually I like writing things that are fantastical.
Someday I want to make write a slice-of-life that makes the mundane fantastical, and then vice versa. If only because it’s the little things that steal my heart and imagination every single time.
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
Four wonderful people are subscribed to me, while 12 are subscribed to my stories. For bookmarks, I have a total of 24. ^^
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Many of my topic matter don’t really make much, if any, waves -- at least that’s what I think. I’m only afraid I can’t do justice to my dark/fantasy elements, because that would be a real shame.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
First it’s definitely finishing what I start. My multichaps aren’t incredibly long, but I worry a lot about continuation and future chapters that it spoils writing the present one, so I hope to work on that.
Next is my exposition and narration. I can only say “Name smiles.” so much before I think I write in a horribly stale matter.
... Does writing romance or any sort of sexual or romantic contact count? Cause, boy do I need practice.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Is YamaYachi popular? KuroYachi? I’m pretty sure they’re an okay and accepted ship. But in any case the rarest pair I’ve written is KuroYachi, and then KamaFuta. Because those pairs need more content, and I’m pretty willing to fill them.
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
I have 9 works in total. Five of which are completed oneshot, and the other four are unfinished multichaps. See the trend yet?
One of the finished oneshots is the longshot Nowhere in the Sea. It’s the first fic I finished in my whole 17 (at the time) years of living.
Of my unfinished things, one of them is an anthology (that I should probably close since I’m not planning on updating anytime soon) and then the three fantasy pieces that has a lot Worldbuilding™.
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
H A H A.
Hm. So, I switch between Google Docs, Sublime Text 3, and OneNote. But there’s a whooping 17 unwritten stories in various states of disrepair.
I’m most excited for the YamaYachi one, and also the sprawling ensemble cast one. :D
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
I mostly keep them in my head. So they flit in and out of my memory like deadlines. On the rare occasion that I’m possessed by the idea, I’l have written the idea down and then some on anything I find convenient at the time (laptop, phone, or paper.)
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Yes. @haruhi02 was my partner for the hq fantasy fest thing. She was with me when I finished my first ever fic Nowhere in the Sea.
16. How did you discover AO3?
I was friends with this author back in FF.Net, and she had an AO3 account. Then, I branched off her fics to read the FE:A fics.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
LOL. Of course not. I can say, with confidence, that I am probably obscure.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Hm...
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Fun fact, the first fan fic I wrote was an unfinished novelization of the Swan Princess (Nest Family Entertainment), and then an illustrated re-telling of Barbie’s Princess and the Nutracker. I started seriously pursuing writing around... the grade 5, when my bully of an English teacher said I had a talent for writing. If I had any it remains to be seen. But it was my friends back on FFnet. The likes of Mafi, and Tune, and Loke. They were there for me during my baby days writing for a fandom. We weren’t in the same fandom, but they inspired me so much.
Also I really like Philip Pullman and J.K. Rowling and thought it would be awesome to publish and write books.
Today though, it’s my friends in the chat who continue to inspire me everyday.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
I don’t think I’m qualified. But if I should, it’d be to stay strong and welcome to addictive cycle of happiness and misery. Because there’s nothing like writing that one perfect scene -- it’s worth all the stress and the struggle.
Also. Writing is like wine, it get’s better with age, but it doesn’t mean that you like wine.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
I plot a lot. Like a lot. But I throw out a lot through the window when push comes to shove. Sometimes I’ll outwrite what I’ve planned or plan something new and then I’ll get flung into a crisis. Haha. Fun.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
The worst comment I’ve had is spam on Nowhere in the Sea. I just wish I had more comments. #NoShame.
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Smut. A bit of action, but action is easier than doing the sexy.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
I’m focusing all my energy on Amor Fati, which is my gift for the fantasy exchange. I need to finish that because it’d be sad if I didn’t. And, most importantly, I want to make my giftee proud.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
The plan is to keep up with my plans. I have no shortage of plans. Hahaha. But I do plan on finishing up Amor Fati then finishing either Scales or The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae before moving on to other projects.
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Nope. It would probably be better if I did, but acads just eats a lot of my time.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
I think it’s arrogant to think that I did, but I guess I did. I was 13ish -- two years after fifth grade -- when I took writing more seriously... And looking back my writing style changed. ^^
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
I love all my stories for different reasons. To be honest tho, it’s what I haven’t written and am yet to write. I love The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae for it’s dark and heavy atmosphere. Scales for its hesitance and its secrecy. Amor Fati for the melancholy and for its world. Nowhere in the Sea for being my first in a lot of things (but also it’s magic system and world gdi). Lights in the Sky are Stars for it’s sweet fluff. Class Pizza for its tomfoolery. So on and so forth.
As much as I have a hard time looking at my writing, I won’t deny that I love them for the things that they are and could be.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
... Probably my anthology? It reminds me of bad memories.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Here, still suffering but instead out of school (hopefully) and knee deep in some sort of job.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
The planning and the talking and the crying and the reading.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
The writing. Or maybe that point between the first scene and the third. Something like that.
33. Why do you write?
Why don’t I? Writing is me. I’ve did things for the sake of reference, I’ve devoted a lot of myself to writing and the idea of writing. I love it. It’s an amazing way to express.
I wouldn’t give it up for the world.
Sooo. For tagging. @spacegaykj and @astersandstuffs and @slothesaurus if you guys don’t mind ^^. Feel free to ignore if you want. Thank you for the time.
Also double tagging @haruhi02 because I can.

multiples of 5 for the fanfiction meme
5. Which fandoms have your written fanfiction for?
There’s a lot tbh I’ve been writing since I was 12. I’m pretty sure all the ones I wrote back then have been deleted since, but they exist for sure lmao. I’ve written fanfiction South Park, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Bleach, Hetalia, Attack on Titan, Haikyuu, Kingdom Hearts, Osomatsu-san, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Of all of that I’m only really proud of the one kh, fe:a, and jjba fics I have on my ao3.
10.  Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?
Definitely lmao! In the past I read Star Wars, Marvel, Durarara, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XV fics and never wrote anything for any of them. I think it was mostly because my focus on them didn’t last long enough, but if it did I probably would’ve ended up writing fics for them.
Currently I’ve been reading A LOT of dcu (batfam mostly) fanfics and I have yet to write one but I am kinda working on a jaydick fic and i have plans for a high school au focused on the batboys (i know, i know..smh lmao)
15. Is there an obscure ship which you love?
I’m really fond of Kira/Rohan tbh
20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?
soriku. Pairings between best friends usually aren’t my thing but I honest to god LOVE soriku. Like, I’ve loved it for so long and I don’t ever see myself not loving it lmao. Like sure I have other otps come and go but soriku is one that I will always look at them (even if kh isnt huge on my list of interest at the time) and be like “goddamn sora and riku love each other so much holy shit”, and I think that’s why I’ve broken my “rule” for them lmao. Their love for each other (platonic or romantic) is really special, and I personally can’t see them with anyone else but each other.
25. What’s your most popular fanfic?
Oddly enough it’s a Kakyoin/Rohan fic (I KNOW) and I really don’t get why. Personally I don’t even consider it that great compared to stuff I’ve written later, yet I have yet to knock that fic off of its throne.
30. What inspires you to write?
Hard to say, tbh. Usually it’s just that I REALLY want something to happen but I don’t have the money to commission anyone so I gotta settle for doing it myself, which is nowhere near as satisfying but it still has its merits (that sweet, sweet validation).
35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?
Not really. I don’t write super often, and when I do it’s because I’m forcing myself to get whatever idea I have down. I usually do it all in one sitting, too, and it’s never anything under 2k words. I’m sure I could (and It’d totally be open to requests!!) but it’s just never something I’ve tried to do, I guess.
40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?
In my opinion I’d say it’s dialogue outside of porn. I mean most of the fics I have up on my ao3 are porn so I’ve never really worried about the bits that weren’t porny lmao, but I don’t want to ONLY write nsfw stuff (even if that’s all I’m good for), but I’ve tried and imo... Yeah, doesn’t come out as well. Gotta keep practicing i guess.
45. What is your all time favorite fanfic?
I thought this might be a hard question to answer, but right away one fic came to mind. It’s one that’s stuck with me ever since I first read it and I think it’s left a lasting impact on me and how I want to write. Like, it shaped my goals as a writer and has since left me longing to write the way this author wrote their fic. It’s been a really, REALLY long time (2013 I think?) since I read it, and I’m pretty sure I only read it once, but the fic is called Arcadia.
50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?
I was 12 and I was trying to google an episode of South Park and somehow ended up on fanfiction dot net? lmao this was back in 2009. I’ve been hooked since then. Nowadays I easily and happily read 100k fics in a day. Good times
