So we amped the power to turn the McLaren 570S into a 700HP beast with the VR Tuned ECU Flash Tune. As seen in the video, the transformation gave this car the highest power and made its performance nothing short of breathtaking.
The $1,500 VR Tuned ECU Flash gives you a tremendous gain of 100ft/lbs of torque at 4500rpm and nearly 80whp as seen in the video. This system features dual 3-inch (76mm) piping to maximize flow throughout the exhaust. The race downpipes are bolt-on which means easy installation, and their design improves the exhaust flow from the turbochargers which adds a significant gain in torque, horsepower and improved sound throughout the entire rpm range. The thing that makes the ARMYTRIX Ceramic Coated High-Flow Performance Race Downpipes unique and a much-needed upgrade for the McLaren engines is that the ceramic-coated downpipes reduce heat soak to the engine which is a common problem in the McLaren engines.

The Ford Focus RS has proven to be a very tuner friendly vehicle. With a ton of companies offering a multitude of aftermarket performance parts, it can be hard to choose which products are the superior. In terms of exhaust products, Armytrix valvetronic exhaust system rises up above the rest. They offer their full Turbo back system for the 2016+ Focus RS 2.3L Turbo engine, which incorporates their remote/app controlled valve system. This allows you to have full control of the exhaust note coming from the tail pipes. With the valves open, you have a straight through performance-oriented fireball machine. Choosing the “closed” option, you have a civil,but improved exhaust note which is routed through a muffler. The Performance downpipe only increases performance allowing less restrictions after the turbo, which also helps with spool time. Both of these products combined give you a good bump in performance and an excellent sound track to go with it. Vivid Racing Employee @VividracingJames has one hell of an BMW F10 M5. His super sedan boasts a 4.4l V8 with two turbo chargers and a lightening fast dual clutch transmission. The car in stock form is a beast, but the soundtrack of the factory F10 M5 leaves much to be desired. For an M performance vehicle, the exhaust note is not overly aggressive, or expressive of what this car is capable of. An Aftermarket exhaust was one of the first upgrade James made to his personal M5.
From a sound/noise stand point alone the Armytrix exhaust system gives you an noticable audible upgrade, which includes the snarls and pops everyone loves. With the optional down pipes installed, you will hear both of the turbo chargers spooling like a jet engine. There are also the performance advantages of installing a more free flowing exhaust system. The new Armytrix downpipes eliminate restrictions right after the factory turbo which allows for a faster spool time and cooler exhaust gas temps. From those 3″ downpipes comes the Cat back Valvetronic exhaust, which includes all mandrel bends and high flow mufflers to allow the car to breathe better. At the back end of the Armytrix exhaust system there is the choice of tip color. Standard Chrome tips are included, but there are optional color choices which include matte black and blued titanium. This way you can perfectly match the style and design of your personal vehicle.
With this exhaust system you have the choice of automatic valve operation which is dependent on Engine RPM’s, or you can choose to keep them open/closed. This is all controlled through their phone application and OBD2 Dongle or alternatively by the remote system included with the exhaust package. The plush insulated interior cabin of the M5 still makes it bearable to drive even with the valves open, but from the outside it is an animal. You can still have your fun in cruising through tunnels and accelerating under over passes but if you want to keep it civil in your neighborhood or around town there is always the option to keep it quiet.
To utilize the full performance gains of this exhaust system, James went with an ESS Flash tune for his ECU. This enables better fuel mapping, throttle response, increased boost and timing and increased horsepower and torque. With gains shown of 600+ Hp and 600+ TQ this tune will wake up the vehicle and make all around better drive-ability.

The BMW F10 M5 is the first M designated 5 series to feature forced induction. With Strict emission laws and excessive tax for cars with high fuel consumption, large displacement engines are a thing of the past. Most manufactures are now producing turbo charged vehicles to create power rather than larger engine displacement. With this being said, there are greater gains to be had from aftermarket exhaust systems and ecu tuning on a turbo vehicle. The key is having as minimal back pressure as possible after the turbo charger. This is usually achieved from larger, less restrictive, down-pipes and exhaust system.

The vehicle shown in the video below is James (@VividracingJames) McKibben. His 2013 M5 was quite a beast straight from the BMW factory, but like any other automotive enthusiast, he believed there were changes that needed to be made. He had already done several visual upgrades to the car, so now he was focused on raw performance. A Turbo Back Exhaust (TBE) was top priority in order to see improvement in performance. ArmyTrix is one of best high end exhaust system that money can buy, so naturally this is the route that he went. This company specializes in valvetronic mufflers and performance free flowing exhaust systems. For certain applications such as the M5, they also have available down pipes to eliminate any restriction after the turbo.

One unique feature of the Armytrix exhaust system is the use of their phone controlled app, which allows you to monitor and adjust parameters for the vehicle and exhaust system. The standard FOB control is still available, so now you have a choice of how you would like to control the valve system. The application also allows you to save monitors to easily access them later on. This is key for data logging and tracking performance.

Another cool feature of Armytrix exhaust systems is the ability to customize your tip options. You can also opt for the available ceramic coating on the down-pipes. This ensures power robbing heat stays away from your turbos / engine. The available tip options are the standard Chrome/polished, Matte Black and the Blue/Titanium style. Matte black / Titanium options do carry a slight up charge, but can completely change the look of your rear end.
