It’s actually kind of sad that the only character in the series without a best friend or a deep connection is Arlo. He seems to be friends with Holden but he doesn’t really get a lot of screen time which makes the relationship seem kind of shallow, like they are friendly classmates at most. But the other character have such deep friendships. John and Sera have each other. Isen, Blyke and Remi have each other. Remi and Arlo seem to have a close-ish sibling-ish relationship but it’s still like Arlo kinda has no one and it makes me sad. Even tho it’s probably largely his own doing since he is standoffish and isn’t particularly relationship oriented.

YEEESSSS. That’s a big thing I like about him. I wish uru chan develops that idea (maybe coming soon? Who knows season 2 is all over the place). A lot of the characters show development mid conversation but Arlo sticks about because his mental progression always happens after the dialogue alone. HES A BIT DENSE BUT I LOVE HIM FOR IT.

Kind of also wish uru would develop on holden and arlos relationship more. I think holden specifically calls himself arlos best friend in one of the earlier episodes, but it really wouldnt seem like that and he didn’t say it. But again, i think that on Arlo because he’s such an loner. And rude. And generally unbearable.
