Julchen could not remember what happened to her. She could not remember the wreck that caused her to lose her favorite motorcycle, the airlift to the hospital, why she was missing her leg from below the knee or her arm below the shoulder. The whole ordeal was a blur to the Prussian as she sat in the room in the rehabilitation facility in preparation to go to her next therapy appointment.

When the accident occured, the Prussian did not have any family or friends to speak of really. Her father disowned the woman ages ago and she had not seen or heard from either him or her brother since. This meant the first place to report her missing was her job, followed by her becoming a ward of the state due to the fact that she really had no one. Thankfully for her, a coworker who had watched her dog prior to the accident knew where her spare key was and was kind enough to take and hold her dog for her. The landlord was left a note taped to the front door and her rent came out of her account monthly so that was not an issue.  Some of her other bills and things would be a bigger issue, though she dealt with it one at a time as she could.

For the time being, Jul was stuck in the facility to her dismay. She managed to pay for decent prosthetics between her savings and the kindness of her coworkers. Her arm was an older bionic model which would be helpful as she relearned to write and do other tasks with it. Her leg was a newer, basic model that came with a foot attachment for the time being. The woman would have to relearn to walk before anything else and thankfully, it was going well. She now needed to get the hang of running to really get the ball moving for her chance to go home.

Today was no exception for her practice of walking as well as using her cane for her other, newly gained disability. Julchen was no stranger to struggles with vision. She had pretty much had vision problems since she was a child and though this did not change with the accident, it only got worse. Being albino meant that she was predisposed to having mild eye issues and she was about the same as most people, however the accident caused one of her eyes to struggle to take in more than blurry shapes. With glasses, the other eye could sort of make out some stuff, though it was not great. Since she was legally blind now, it meant that Jul would no longer be able to do the work she loved to do and she would have to find a new lease on life.

For now, the Prussian moved herself from the bed and started her daily limp across the complex and to her appointment. The walk was nice, if not a bit chilly with the weather changing from summer to fall. The physical therapist she was working with could be a little rough around the edges, though he was pretty cute so she forgave that. It was also fun to turn his face as red as she could per session. The Prussian pushed the door open, entering the facility and gave a slanted grin in what she hoped was the direction of the man. Her eyes were filled with determination and a little excitement as she stood there, crossing her arms. “You ready to watch me get it right today?”

suddenly just remembered (against my will) that when i was a 12 year old roleplaying anime on quotev, i once ran into a group of hamilton roleplayers who were messing around with the hetalia group. except i found out halfway through inspecting the conversation under a microscope that actually these people were not roleplaying hamilton. they were roleplaying irl actual founding fathers.

and i do think, as an adult, that hamilton is a pretty weird thing that happened. but hamilton roleplayers are SIGNIFICANTLY more normal than irl founding father roleplayers.

i found this out because when the hetalia group's america started quoting hamilton, the founding fathers group's aaron burr responded with something like "oh, i'm a real founding father. although leslie odom jr. did a great job of portraying me in lin manuel miranda's musical." IN CHARACTER AS AARON BURR.

Maybe it shouldn't surprise him that Ludwig had actively read Ibsen's works - after all a lot of Norwegian artist had made their way to Berlin, Christiania Oslo too poor and uninterested in them due to the lack of money, of stages, of colour. Kjetil wished to change this, bit by bit, but the way to this goal was long. At least he had his nordlys back, shining in both the sky over his fjords and in the irises of his oceanblue eyes.

And maybe he shouldn't find the blush on his face as enticing as he did, because it caused him to take a short step towards him, reducing their distance by quite a bit. The smile on his lips felt so real to Kjetil, felt so right - as did the short kiss he pressed to the blushed cheek before turning towards the railing again, a soft laughter in his heart.

Ludwig let out a soft yawn as he turned off his alarm clock from his morning alarm. It was early, though the German was no stranger to being up so early in the day. This was his morning routine; get out of bed, get a shower, shave, get dressed, slick his hair back, then leave for work. It was like clockwork.

Being an engineer was not a particularly hard job, though it could be stressful at times. He was a young guy in his field and the job he worked at was full of well seasoned employees who sometimes gave him trouble for being both single at thirty two as well as how tight lipped he was. Though they were all pretty nice, if not too enveloped in trying to decipher the younger man’s personal life. Ludwig also got along well with them, so that was good as well. They were all friendly and it made it easier to handle their pestering.

That particular day, Ludwig’s older friend at the job site approached him and offered to set him up with one of his kids. They were around Ludwig’s age and he thought they might be a good fit. Ludwig was not huge on dates or the idea of dating, though he chose to do it to both be kind and hope that this would get him off of the radar for a bit if he went out this one time.

So after work, the German went home and started to get himself ready for the date. He had no idea what to wear, not being entirely knowledgeable overall about these types of things and what was considered appropriate to wear. Eventually, he ended up choosing a matching pair of chocolate colored blazer and trousers. Under the blazer was a cream colored turtleneck and on his feet were dress boots to match. Once dressed, Ludwig headed out the door and drove to the agreed upon restaurant to wait for the other to show up inside the lobby.

The worst part of Gilbert losing his immortality is I can’t hit him over the head with a frying pan like he so rightly deserves anymore
