I embrace being a smol since I've got access to ALL the hiding spots, and I'm often underestimated so it's always fun messing with people ( ･ิω･ิ)✧ Somewhat book smart, the sciences, maths, and engineering are my favored subjects. Mostly a big psychology and astronomy nerd and really big into art. The world is my canvas, and if something can be drawn on, it WILL be drawn on. I have questionable eating habits (forgetting to eat is a problem of mine so I always have snacks on me, and I tend to eat things I really shouldnt; Ex. Chalk). I use chewlery a lot otherwise I end up eating my fingers and lips (╥w╥)

Food is important to me, so I can be a lil aggressive when it comes to waste and the following food law (i.e. dont eat what isnt yours). Food agression is Real™ in me, so trying to interact with me while I'm eating or cooking isnt advised (I WILL BITE)

Basically a cat: super flexible, kinda do my own thing, and when it comes to affection, headbutts, rubs, bites and/or licks are my main forms of expression. (Tho, there are times where I'll just, randomly stop what I'm doing, say "Hey, look at me", and when attention is achieved, make a heart with my hands, softly say "I love you", then continue whatever I was doing like nothing happened. When the nyoomies randomly hit, VolumeControl.exe stops working properly and I always feel bad when I get too loud. I usually stim by pacing around while talking/singing to myself, make random noises (mostly beep, meow, trill, etc.,) and also hand flappy! I mirror things alot, so if I interact with someone long enough, I'll subconsciously start mimicking them and their habits (mostly verbal quirks and accents, but physical quirks too sometimes).

I told you I wanna make an Episode story as a parody on games like Choices

Now here’s a summary of the plot, so please leave feedback, because I want to know what you think of it before I start working on it XD

Long Post ahead

( I’m on mobile so I can’t put read mores, sorry)

It’s the story of Skittles Breadstick, (basically she’s a mix of RoE, TS and LH MC with a dash TRR) , who one day got a letter from her grandmother, inviting her to a family meeting in grandmas manor. Skittles follows her grandmas wish, together with her gay best friend Chacko (yeah that’s like a mix of Chazz (from RCD) , Diego and Zack from TS ) , who follows her everywhere and is generally her fav.

In the manor her brother Rocher and her twin sisters Kit and Kat as well as her cousin Bounty (or maybe Snickers?) already wait for her.

They learn that their grandmother has passed away, but left them a fortune , which they only could get if they fulfilled a special task.

As it turns out, grandma was in a cult or rather the leader of a society that alone knows the secrets of traveling through time and parallel dimensions. And to earn their fortune , as well as take her place as cult leader, they have to collect hints strewn over other dimensions leading them to grandmas ultimate secret. Only who discovers this secret, and collects all hidden messages along the way, will have earned their place and fortune. And only this person will survive...

Skittles and her siblings don’t want to do this, of course, but the rules also state that whoever refuses to do this will forsake their life as well.

So they each start at a different parallel universe (they all got devices that allow them to travel through them from nanas lawyer) , on the hunt for the hints and grandmas secret.

Skittles , accompanied by her friend Chacko , will travel through 5 dimensions, (each inspired by a Choices book hehe).

And in each dimension Skittles will meet another love of her life with long her and snarky attitude . (These guys are : Snake, Flake, Cab and Corn (Jake , Drake, Caleb and Connor )). Sadly no one from the dimension she traveled through can leave with her so she always has to leave her new found live behind. But she’ll live through many adventures and of course a LOT of romance (always feeling like someone is secretly watching her though)

In the middle of the book she’ll meet Quistella Hantlyn (yeah that’s a mix of Quinn, Estela, Hana and Kaitlyn) , a girl whose mother was a cult member but vanished one day, so she took her moms device and searches for her everywhere. And of course she’ll join our Skittles in her adventure.

They ultimately land in the fifth dimension, a very strange place, which turns out to hold the cults headquarter.

Skittles meets Bounty again there, and they find the room that harbors grandmas secret, which is kept in one of those coded metal containers I forgot their name, when suddenly they both get attacked and grabbed by cult members.

The deputy cult leader (who’s in charge until grandmas will is fulfilled) steps up to them. He explains that he won’t give up his power over the cult, and that he has been surveilling Skittles and co all along. She asks how and he explains that it was him. Snake, Flake, Cab and Corn. It was all him in disguise.

So Skittles asks him who he is. He takes off his hood, revealing : Jomes Acorn, Skittles ex whom she left after he had a facial surgery.

Skittles can’t believe it. She and her friends get incarcerated in the cults dungeon, where they manage to flee from thanks to the help of Vecca Fovrakis (a mix of Becca, Olivia Nevrakis and the newest „meangirl“ Victoria Fontaine (from RCD) .

They hide out in a cave in the outskirts of that reality, trying to fix the dimension hopper as well as making a plan on how to get to granny’s secret.

They manage to fix it and break into the headquarters again, retrieving the secret box, but as they’re about to leave they get caught again. Impossible, no one could have known it was them (they disguised themselves as cult members).

Turns out Quistella made a deal with Jomes while they were captured. He said he’d bring her mom back, if she get him nanas secret, which can only be opened by a heir of hers.

There’s a big fight, Jomes dies, as well as cousin Bounty. Quistella is forgiven, but she leaves for good, trying to find her mom with the hints Jomes gave her in return for the secret (which still hasn’t been opened btw)

Skittles opens the secret ultimately to reveal an ancient script on which stands „The real secret is the friends we made along the way“.

Skittles now should become the new cult leader, but she doesn’t want to and let’s Vecca be it.

She goes back to her normal life, find a long haired boyfriend.

Time skip to one year later.

MC has a baby, called Rico. Vecca is successful as cult leader, Chacko has a boyfriend and Quistella found her mom. Everything is fine, or is it?

Last scene is a menacing pair of eyes (its Jomes, who actually survived) and evil laughing before all cuts to black.

1. Smoking. If you or your partner smoke cigarettes, this will greatly hinder your trying-to-conceive efforts. Women who smoke are 60% more likely than non-smokers to be infertile. Medical research indicates that egg depletion and sperm damage caused by smoking is the cause for this decrease in fertility. Smoking is very bad for your health anyway, so this should give you a worthwhile incentive to quit for your own health and those around you. An unborn baby is at a high risk for many complications if the mother is a smoker. Also, if your partner smokes around you, you are affected by the second-hand smoke, which is very harmful as well. Remember that with over 2,000 different chemicals in tobacco smoke, not one of them is nutritious or enriching for you or your baby.

2. Illicit Drug Use or Alcohol Use. This may seem like a “no brainer” for most of us, but some women and men need to be reminded that illicit drug use is a no-no for those trying to conceive. Marijuana use specifically suppresses hormone production, which can cause decreased sperm count and possible erectile dysfunction in men and irregular periods in women. Alcohol in moderation may not significantly affect fertility, but if you want to definitely increase your chances of getting pregnant sooner rather than later, it’s best to avoid alcohol completely (both the woman and the man).

3. Caffeine Intake. Caffeine is believed to reduce fertility. It also is believed to be risky during pregnancy with an increased risk of miscarriage with more than very mild use. Caffeine’s effect on fertility and pregnancy is controversial – some believe it to be harmful in even small quantities and others believe it is fine with moderate use (up to three cups of coffee per day). But why take a chance, especially if you want to conceive quickly and avoid a potential miscarriage? Caffeine is in chocolate, coffee, tea, and most sodas. Even decaffeinated coffee and tea (black and green) has a small amount of caffeine, so be aware of this when drinking. If you truly want to get pregnant more quickly, you should give up caffeine altogether for a better chance of increasing fertility. If it’s too hard and you have a caffeine addiction, then wean down gradually in order to make it easier on yourself.

4. Poor Diet. What you eat or don’t eat is crucial to your overall well-being and reproductive health. Getting pregnant is a complex process, one that requires many different body organs and glands to function properly to have proper hormonal balance and functioning. Most people don’t get the recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables and water per day. This is very basic, but it’s crucial to pay attention to in order to help increase your fertility and your chances of getting pregnant more quickly. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables (leaf lettuce, kale, collard greens, etc.), whole grains (oatmeal, whole grain breads, brown rice, etc.), raw nuts (almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts, cashews, etc.), and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Organic is best, and fresh is better than canned or processed. (Note that Brazil nuts are especially good for sperm health).

5. Lack of Exercise. If you’re sedentary, get moving. It will help you feel better, lose weight if needed, and will improve your fertility and chance of getting pregnant. Walking, swimming, biking, or aerobics are great forms of exercise. Do something that you enjoy, and it will be easier to keep up. Exercise at least 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes at a time.

6. Obesity or Being Overweight. If your BMI is greater than 25, you are considered overweight and are prone to health risks. A BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. Avoid fad diets or skipping meals. It has been proven that starving yourself only makes things worse. Do eat, but eat smaller portions more often, and cut out the junk food. Start slowly if you need to, but definitely start.

7. Stressful Lifestyle. If you have a stressful work environment, consider changing jobs. Stress will not only affect your fertility, it will affect your overall health and place you at greater risk for heart disease and many other health problems. Also, do what you can to relax often (at least once a day). Practice deep breathing to help relieve stress. What I do is inhale as deeply as I can with my mouth closed. Then I exhale slowly through my mouth. This is an instant stress reliever for me. Try it and see what it does for you! Another stress reliever can be a leisurely walk, especially if it’s something you enjoy and is in a beautiful environment. Go with your mate and use it to catch up on events of the day or just to dream of your future together. A warm bath can also be a great stress reliever, just don’t make it too warm, especially for the males, as it could affect sperm quality and quantity.

8. Advanced Age. Advanced age is widely considered to be age 35 and older. Women who are 35 years old and older do have somewhat of a disadvantage when trying to conceive. It is said that a female is born with the total amount of eggs she will have her entire life. Thus, at age 35 and beyond, her eggs are considerably “older” than they were in her 20’s, making it more difficult to conceive. That said, those of us who are older need to be even more diligent to be optimally healthy in order to increase our changes of getting pregnant faster. Men can be affected by age as well, especially as libido tends to decrease with age. I have found maca to be a wonderful libido enhancer and also fertility promoter. It is said to improve the quality of a woman’s eggs as well. I believe it helped me to get pregnant at 39 and carry my beautiful, perfectly health baby boy to full term.

9. Poor Intercourse Timing. In order to conceive, a couple needs to have intercourse near the woman’s ovulation time – the closer the better. If a couple just has intercourse “whenever”, their chances of getting pregnant are not as good. Especially for the older couples in their late 30’s to 40’s, timing is crucial to getting pregnant faster. To get the timing right, you need to determine your ovulation date.

I like to track my cycles by using a basal thermometer. This thermometer is different from the regular thermometer used to determine a fever. A basal thermometer is an ultra-sensitive thermometer that tracks your body’s most minute temperature shift and helps you calculate ovulation. Another means I like for determining ovulation date is an ovulation predictor kit (OPK). There are two kinds – the urine strips and also the fertility monitors. The strips are like a pregnancy test stick, only they measure LH (or luteinizing hormone) instead of the pregnancy hormone. The fertility monitors use saliva to determine your most fertile period by showing a ferning pattern when you’re most likely to conceive.

Mira launches a device for more accurate fertility testing in the home

Mira, launching today at TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2018, is a new device that aims to help women who are struggling to conceive. The Mira Fertility system offers personalized cycle prediction by measuring fertility hormone concentrations in urine samples, telling women which days they’re fertile. The system is more advanced and accurate than the existing home test kits, the company claims, which can be hard to read and aren’t personalized to the individual.

The company behind Mira, Quanovate, was founded in late 2015 by a group of scientists, engineers, OBGYN doctors, and business execs to solve the problem of the unavailability of advanced home health testing.

“I have a lot of friends who, like me, [prioritized] their career advancement and higher education, and they tended to delay their maternal age,” explains Mira co-founder and CEO Sylvia Kang. “But there’s no education for them about when to try for a baby, and they have no awareness about their fertility health,” she says.

Kang received an MBA at Cornell Johnson, went to Columbia for an MS in Biomedical engineering and received at PhD in Biophysics from University of Pittsburgh, before working as a Business Director at Corning where she was responsible for $100 million in global P&L, which she left to start Mira.

She says that women’s hormones are changing daily, and everyone’s profiles differ due to their lifestyle, stress levels and other factors. The only way to accurately track fertile days, then, is through continuous testing – something that’s been difficult to do at home.

To solve this problem, the team worked to develop the Mira system, which includes a small home analyzer, urine test strips, and an accompanying mobile application. The home analyzer miniaturizes lab equipment for home use, and brings down the cost.

To use the system, the woman places the test strip into the device which then uses immunofluorescence technology to read the results. Currently, the device tests for the presence of luteinizing hormone (LH), which is an indicator of ovulation. However, the company has already has plans to update the device so it can test for other hormones in the near future. (It’s FDA-cleared to detect estrogen, for example, but that won’t be available at launch.)

The system instead is $199 and ships with 10 test strips. After analyzing the strip, information about the hormone levels is displayed on the screen and sent to the Mira app via Bluetooth.

The app offers women more information about what this data means – like whether they should attempt to conceive today or wait. A subscription service will also offer them access to doctors so they can ask questions, but this will be free at launch.

“This technology is completely different from all the test strips on the market. It’s more accurate, but more importantly, this one is quantitative – that means we give you your actual, formal concentrations,” says Kang. “The [existing] tests strips only give you positive or negative. Since we have your numbers, our A.I. can do pattern recognition. Our algorithm prediction is based on your pattern specifically, not the average of all the population.”

A man’s fertility generally relies on the quantity and quality of his sperm. If the number of sperm a man ejaculates is low or if the sperm are of a poor quality, it will be difficult, and sometimes impossible, for him to cause a pregnancy.

How common is male infertility?

Infertility is a widespread problem. For about one in five infertile couples the problem lies solely in the male partner. It is estimated that one in 20 men has some kind of fertility problem with low numbers of sperm in his ejaculate. However, only about one in every 100 men has no sperm in his ejaculate.

What are the symptoms of male infertility?

In most cases, there are no obvious signs of infertility. Intercourse, erections and ejaculation will usually happen without difficulty. The quantity and appearance of the ejaculated semen generally appears normal to the naked eye.

What causes male infertility?

Male infertility is usually caused by problems that affect either sperm production or sperm transport. Through medical testing, the doctor may be able to find the cause of the problem.

About two-thirds of infertile men have a problem with making sperm in the testes. Either low numbers of sperm are made and/or the sperm that are made do not work properly.

Sperm transport problems are found in about one in every five infertile men, including men who have had a vasectomy but now wish to have more children. Blockages (often referred to as obstructions) in the tubes leading sperm away from the testes to the penis can cause a complete lack of sperm in the ejaculated semen.

Other less common causes of infertility include: sexual problems that affect whether semen is able to enter the woman’s vagina for fertilisation to take place (one in 100 infertile couples); low levels of hormones made in the pituitary gland that act on the testes (one in 100 infertile men); and sperm antibodies (found in one in 16 infertile men). The male reproductive system

The male reproductive system is made up of the testes, a system of ducts (tubes) and other glands that open into the ducts. The brain plays an important part in the control of the male reproductive system.

The pituitary gland and the hypothalamus, located at the base of the brain, control the production of male hormones and sperm. Luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) are the two important messenger hormones made by the pituitary gland that act on the testes.

The seminal vesicles and prostate contribute extra fluid to protect the sperm. This mixture of sperm and fluid (the semen) travels along the urethra to the tip of the penis where it is ejaculated (released).

Some people use the terms sperm and semen interchangeably. But sperm cells are only one component. Semen also contains substances from the prostate and a pair of rabbit ear-shaped organs inside the pelvis called the seminal vesicles.

Sperms cells - which are made in the testicles - need lots of high-octane fuel to whip their tails. Lucky for them (and us), sperm get the fuel they need in the form of sugar fructose, which is supplied by the seminal vesicles.
