Pagan has revealed the second £7.5M version of its extraordinarily rare Huayra ‘Codalunga’, and much like the first car revealed last summer, this one’s just as spectacular. It’s one in five only ever to be made.
The second Codalunga wears colors much more true to what we know of Pagani; bronze, silvery paint complimented by touches of carbon fiber.
Inside, the long tail is draped in stunning tan leather with silver accents.
the second unit displayed here is the same as the first revealed at Goodwood Festival of Speed, it will be powered by an AMG-sourced twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12.
With this engine, it can produce 840hp.
It does 0-60 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph).

Muscle Cars Crashing Into Peak ESG Insanity
First it was the death of the Chevrolet Camaro . . . scheduled for 2025.
Now Dodge is shooting for 2023.
Only the Ford Mustang will be left to hold the torch until 2027.
And after that, ESG will have killed everything.
Including the markets.
Wait, what?
Yes. Muscle cars are bull market cars. So the implications here are quite large.
Born in the 60s bull market and killed off in the 70s oil-embargo bear market, muscle cars were famously reborn (as an animal spirits mood cue) from the ashes of the Great Financial Crisis . . . as oil crashed and the Dodge Challenger re-entered production in 2008.
And as the markets found their footing and Fed liquidity filled the risk pool once again, muscle cars flexed again as well, culminating with the barely street-legal 2017 Dodge Demon, which at 840HP, was so badass it was actually banned from drag racing competition by the NHRA.
So yes, caution is advised.
For if muscle cars are bull market cars, and muscle cars are being retired once again, it might behoove us to prepare for a large scale change in social mood from fast to slow, from expansionary to contractionary, etc.
The irony is, ESG and EVs will likely contract as well.
First, EVs are expensive. And that’s even after being subsidized by the government. Will a cash-strapped government continue to subsidize them in a bear market?
Second, a bear market might easily dampen the EV craze as people wake up and contemplate the gobs of rare earth and base metals that it takes to produce them, along with the endless fields of solar farms to fuel them that will compete with struggling food farms, and miles of offshore wind farms that will suddenly render prime fishing grounds off limits.
None of this is ESG friendly.
Perhaps then Toyota and Team Japan (Mazda, Subaru, Yamaha, and Kawasaki) will be proved correct that the internal combustion engine still has a future.
Team Japan is exploring carbon-neutral fuels, biomass-derived synthetic fuels, and other solutions including hydrogen to provide broader automotive choices for the 80% of the world’s auto market outside of ESG-crazy USA and EU.
Such independent thinking is encouraging in today’s increasingly guilt-shamed cancel culture.
Or, maybe Team Japan just studies social mood trends.
Either way, this could be one to watch.
