59th st bridge song is so good but unfortunately i think it would make a great tiktok trend of like. you film your pet walking/doing something energetic and then you cut to them sleeping/being sleepy. if anybody wants to steal this idea and make it viral that’s cool w me, i think pet videos to cute songs are one of the last good things on that app or our whole internet in general

had my first half marathon simulation run of this training plan today and i’m very proud of myself, kept it easy for the first 6 miles then pushed it for the next 5 and then did the last 2 pretty easy, but sprinted the last block. i don’t trust either app i used to track the run but i think i hit my goal pace for the most part for the 5 mi. and i did it all in the rain. my first HM race was also in the rain and it went much worse than this run so i’m super happy!
next sunday i have an easy 13-14 mi run so i might go all the way up to the 59th st bridge and try running across it. i love doing the williamsburg bridge so it’ll be nice to have another bridge under my belt

@strava providing cities and organizations like @transportationalternatives data to improve city planning via Strava Metro. Perhaps runners and walker will get the 59th St Bridge walkway all to ourselves? @emilyabbate getting over the @londonmarathon hurdle of completing her fourth @wmmajors . Congrats! @alikrieger showed all of us that “if you see it then you can be it” - especially when it comes to #womenspayequality @alysiamontano on a mission to make “all athletes including mothers, deserves to be supported WHOLLY” with @andmother_org . @kateplusfate “not only participated but DOMINATED”cross country mountain biking. @latrealmitchell showing us that we are stronger and that we can hold on to discomfort longer than we think. WHAT A YEAR IN SPORTS. WHAT A YEAR OF WOMEN IN SPORTS. WHAT A YEAR OF MOTHERS IN SPORTS. Thank you @strava for bringing us all together one last time. 59th Street Bridge
59th Street Bridge Leaving NYC this morning, with Dan at the wheel. We’ve spent two nights in Brooklyn, but spent most of our waking hours in Queens. On our arrival night in the city we visited Allen and Ashlan in their home in Long Island City, which is part of Queens. Anne got to see their apartment’s view of the 59th St. Bridge, the inspiration for one of her current quilts. More importantly…

My Heart beats for you| Wanda Maximoff x Reader
A/n: This is my first story, the idea just came to me while I was studying and immediately wrote it somewhere in my notebook so I wouldn’t forget it. Anyways, hope ya’ll enjoy this. I changed the plot of the story, it didn’t really connect with the prologue. Also, maybe because I was drunk when I wrote this.
Summary: Wanda was suffering alone after the continuous tragic events that has happened to her, until she met you. You were like the typical knight and shining armor that mesmerized Wanda. This story brings a roller coaster emotions about how these relationships blossoms.
Prologue:
Under the glowing light of the sun, the screeching sounds of the train. Swarm of the bodies file out the express of 59th ST Station, Wanda stepped out of the train and felt the cold breeze hits her face. She looked around to find the person she was looking for, the crowded place made it difficult to spot the person.
As she was looking, she spotted a familiar face and immediately walked to greet her friend, Natasha. “How have you been?” Wanda started, the red head only gave her a smile and hugged her. “How’s everyone?” Wanda continued, “Everyone’s great, they’re all busy.” Natasha replied. Wanda hesitated to ask about a certain someone, but Natasha noticed her restless expression. “To let you know, she’s also fine. In fact, she was eager to see you.” Natasha stated and proceeds to shut her trunk after finishing putting Wanda’s suitcase.
When they got inside the car, they fell into a comfortable silence and let the sound of the radio fill the entire car. Looking out the window, Wanda’s mind drifted of somewhere far and thoughts of you filled her thoughts. She saw that they passed by the exact same bridge you two met each other. With that, she can’t help but reminisce the memory on how you two became close, how your friendship blossomed into something beautiful while your friends watch and witnessed everything you have gone through.
She can’t wait to see you again after she was gone for years.

In FscottF’s novel The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby and Nick Carraway traverse the bridge on their way from Long Island to Manhattan. "The city seen from the Queensboro Bridge," Nick says, "is always the city seen for the first time, in its first wild promise of all the mystery and the beauty in the world"

Closed Starter | One Week’s Time | Cass x Eva
@ofmusingsxandmayhem
A week had passed since Cass had made the acquaintance of the beautifully soft and subtle Eva Dempsey. Cass remained chaste in his thoughts, through diving head-first into his work. He was still campaigning even as debates were picking up. Visiting every tiny town he could was draining and made his travels feel slow. Despite his ability to teleport, he and his team had agreed he should be normalized by the public as an everyman who travels by foot, car, and plane: just like everyone else.
But he was delighted to be back in New York City, a place where he had done much work in his younger years, some bad, most of it good. Cass reflected on the negative impact he’d had and weighed it against his objectively good actions... he could never get the balance quite right.
Cass sighed like he owned the rights to sighing. He was in the back of a car gridlocked on the 59th St Bridge. He asked the driver politely to roll up their divider while he made a phone call. Cass dialed a number that a trusted employee had scribbled down on a sticky note for him. No name. Just digits.
The phone rang thrice, then there was an answer on the other end of the line. Cass was delighted. As well as anxious. “Hello, Ms. Dempsey. This is Cass Maximoff. How’re we doin’ today?” He smiled regardless of the fact that there was no one there to see it.
