Lithuania Acquires Optical Sights from Raytheon Elcan Optical Technologies
The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence acquires new Canadian-manufactured Raytheon Elcan Optical Technologies to further upgrade the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The sights will be mounted on 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm weapons the Lithuanian Armed Forces has. The new purchase will improve efficiency of the rate of fire of the Lithuanian military, fire accuracy during the light and dark part of the day, as well as survivability. The sights are designed for the effective range of 300m and more. The acquisition is conducted via the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, the main platform for public procurement carried out by Lithuanian and other NATO Allies’ defence institutions. The 34 million euros worth purchase will be delivered to Lithuania starting the summer of 2024 and through the autumn of 2025.
ELCAN currently manufactures the "Specter" line of combat optics in a variety of configurations. The Elcan Specter is a line of multi-role prism sights originally designed for M16/M4 family of rifles but now also exists for light machine gun and heavy machineguns. Most of the optics are capable of switching between magnifications and illumination. The Specter 4× Optical Sight, DR 1.5×/6×, DR 1x/4× and TR 1/3/9 are available with a BDC reticle for the 5.56×45mm NATO or the 7.62×51mm NATO. The optic has 2 standard reticles both are a cross, feature a range finder out to 600m for 5.56x45 and 800m for 7.62x51, where they differ is in the bulletdrop design where the one called CX5395/CX5396 uses circles to denote the range, while the other called CX5455/CX5456 uses lines and also features lines for windage.

Trivia

It is recommended that the player keeps the MS2000 Markers in their special slots or pouch so they are not lost in the event of their death.
The MS2000 Markers will automatically be used out of the players’ inventory when needed, similar to how keys work

32. What is their go-to weapon or weapon class?
For general purposes Aaron prefers rifles, generally preferring something select-fire in either 5.56x45 or 7.62x39 like the R-91 or Type-93 rifles, as they allow both precise application of fire and a withering hailstorm of bullets when the situation requires either. Do not believe Todd’s lies, neither rifle would have passed military trials if they were even half as inaccurate as they are in game.
But he is quite fond of pistols, and very practiced in their use, as they are unobtrusive and generally more acceptable to wear around in more civilized places than having a rifle slung over your shoulder. Aaron usually carries an M1911A1 or similar pistol chambered in .45 ACP. “muh stopping power, muh two world wars” may just be a meme, but there’s a reason it was the standard issue pistol of the US military for almost 75 years.
But Aaron is, and I haven’t discussed this much, absolutely cracked with a knife. His father gave him extensive knife-fighting lessons because Butch was eventually going to post up with that switchblade of his, and the Brotherhood teaches all of its members otherwise lost US Army knife-fighting forms. Coupled with his general dexterity and knowledge of human anatomy, Aaron is a truly terrifying force if you are within knife range.

-Anuncia estímulos salariales por un monto de 17 millones de pesos
*Cajeme, Sonora; 21 de julio de 2022.-* El proceso de pacificación del estado empieza con el fortalecimiento de las corporaciones municipales de seguridad, por lo que el gobernador Alfonso Durazo hizo entrega de 50 armas cortas, marca Glock, calibre .40 milímetros y 30 armas largas de asalto, calibre 5.56x45, con el objetivo de mejorar el arsenal con el que cuenta la Policía Municipal de Cajeme.
El mandatario estatal, acompañado de la secretaria de Seguridad Pública, María Dolores Del Río Sánchez, así como del presidente municipal, Javier Lamarque Cano, hizo entrega de este armamento a elementos de Seguridad Pública Municipal, a quienes reconoció por la reducción histórica de 24 por ciento en el delito de homicidio doloso.
“No estamos para echar las campanas al vuelo, para tronar cuetes, pero haber logrado la ruptura de la tendencia histórica de crecimiento del homicidio doloso es un gran mérito de ustedes. Continuemos por esa ruta y va a llegar el tiempo en el que, juntos, vamos a poder decir con orgullo: misión cumplida”, concluyó.
De igual manera, el mandatario reiteró que se busca hacer constantes las acciones de equipamiento, por lo que se impulsa la iniciativa para que toda arma nueva y vehículo decomisado al crimen organizado sea entregado para su uso a instituciones de seguridad locales, iniciativa que se trabaja junto a la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (Sedena). Esto, de la mano con la mejora de las condiciones socioeconómicas de las corporaciones municipales.
“Aquí, en el municipio de Cajeme, he autorizado un apoyo. No es suficiente, pero en las condiciones de quiebra que recibimos el gobierno es, deveras, es un jalón muy importante. Un apoyo de 17 millones de pesos para mejorar el ingreso de las y los policías municipales. Este ingreso, este presupuesto, está disponible ya y va a ser retroactivo hasta a partir del mes de mayo”, dijo el gobernador.
Por su parte, la secretaria de Seguridad Pública informó que la certificación de elementos municipales continúa a fin de lograr una policía profesional que mantenga los estándares de excelencia que se buscan para lograr la paz en el territorio sonorense.
“Con esta acción fortalecemos a la Policía Municipal. Le quiero decir que en Cajeme ha aumentado el número de elementos con Certificado Único Policial y que cumplen con los requisitos que establece el Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública y la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional para darse de alta en la Licencia Oficial Colectiva”, dijo.
El presidente municipal de Cajeme agradeció al titular del Ejecutivo por la entrega del equipamiento, y expresó su compromiso de mantener la labor conjunta con las diversas instituciones que refuerzan la seguridad de su municipio.
“Solamente quiero agradecer el apoyo que estamos recibiendo del gobernador del estado para reforzar y mejorar las condiciones de operación de los elementos de seguridad aquí, en el municipio de Cajeme”, manifestó Lamarque Cano.
Presentes: Claudia Indira Contreras Córdova, titular de la Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado; José Daniel Reséndiz Sandoval, jefe de la Sexta Región Naval; Heriberto Serrano Campos, coordinador del Centro Estatal de Información Sobre Seguridad Pública y Héctor Francisco Morán González, Jefe de la Cuarta Zona Militar.
