I have been waiting actual months to be able to talk about my Night Shift OCs and @green-eyes-and-orange-ties has given me a reason with their 30DaysOfEchor challenge so here is their info for the week 1 prompts:

Character 1: Ino Aristos

Full name: Leucothoe Diana Aristos (maiden name: Jones)

Nickname: Ino, due to her parents being big classics nerds, as Ino was the original name of the Sea Goddess Leucothoe ("white goddess"), Loco, Dia, birdbrain

Pronouns: She/They (FtNB)

Age: 22 (Birthday: 6th August, Leo)

Disabilities: auDHD

She was born Veil-Touched after her mother got stuck in a veil anomaly while pregnant with her. She was born with black wings, though they are barely usable, she can flap them, often doing so subconsciously as a stim. As she's aged, feathers have began to grow on other parts of her body, such as her ankles and chest and the back of her neck. She also has a small magic where her hair can move like a limb, which she can use to pick up small objects.

Her mother and father are happily divorced, as they were in a lavender marriage and ended up with Ino after a very emotional night where they decided they both wanted a kid, and her father is now married to another man, and her mother is happily single. Ino's cousin happens to be one Miles Beaumont on her mother's side, they grew up in the same area so were quite close before Miles went to study law. Ino is also expecting a baby in late may/early june with her partner Atlas.

She considers home to be wherever she finds her people: her family, her wife, her friends, even the veil itself, but physically her apartment is in Downtown Echor, just about in the cheap enough for the two of them when only one can work (her VT traits make it a bit hard to get a job)

Character 2: Atlas Aristos

Full name: Atlas Kore Aristos

Nicknames: Kore, Kora, Crabcake, Nebula

Pronouns: She/Her (MtF)

Age: 22 (Birthday: July 9th, Cancer)

Disabilities: Autistic, has a slight lisp due to weird teeth (I'll elaborate later)

Became Veil-Touched aged 13 after her father, who disapproved of her transness, locked her outside during a veil event (he has since lost custody of all three of his kids and is serving time for child-abuse and neglect). She has spikes on her arms and ankles, tiny horns on her head (which she hides with up-do's), blood that glows when it reacts with oxygen, all of her teeth are sharp + her canines stick out over her lip, and has "nebula hands", where her hands, which are usually a sort of soot black due to being VT, become covered in blue fire that sparks, making it look like a nebula, with the sparks as stars and the blue-fire-on-black being the space holding it together

Eldest of three sisters. Her parents are also divorced, her father getting full custody of her but not her sisters from age 10-13 because "he wanted a son to carry his bloodline on", saved by her mother after the Veil incident. She is married to her partner Ino, who she met online on Tumblr after Atlas started a "life as a teenage shade" blog, which Ino related to as another teenage VT. They are expecting a baby together later this year in late May/ early June. She has always wanted a cat and a border terrier after Ino showed her pictures of her dads' border, but none of the apartments she's lived in have allowed pets.

Home is her partner's arms. Home is the dancefloor at secret VT clubs and bars. Home is the bathroom at her mom's house where her sisters taught her how to do her makeup. Home is under the veil lights, dancing with the love of her life. Home is the tucked away apartment in downtown Echor she shares with her wife, which she's going to share with their child, where she can be herself and happy.

I hope you like them!!! You might recognise Ino's description from the November chapter of LRPD, I threw her in as a fun way to torment my favourite punching bag Angelo Volta. So excited to do this again next week!!!

Hello! I'm making my dear Night Shift OC for 30 days of Echor, organized by @green-eyes-and-orange-ties. Come and look at my pathetic baby.

Bonifacia Ramirez (she/her)

Nicknames: "Bonnie" (how she introduces herself), "Bones"

Age: 26

Health condition: Chronically depressed and very chill about it (lying). She was really into ballet throughout her childhood/early teenage years and had weight issues so most her joints are a bit fucked. Several addiction issues.

Augmented? Other? : She's a normie, but she's been hooked on hunter the second that shit hit the streets. She's microdosing 24/7 so it's almost like she's augmented.

Family: She has a younger brother that she never calls (she's busy), a mother she never calls (she's sorry), a cat that she left to her mother because she couldn't take care of her (she's so sorry). She named the spider in her 'home' Tuesday.

What she considers home: Currently, the last stall in the bathroom of the gym where VTs regroup. She's an ally but it's mostly a good place to crash where nobody will ask her why her eyes are red and her punches are so strong (she's high)

Also I have an awful cold and I've been sleeping and eating vegetables and drinking tea and doing all the healthy stuff and I am still sick and it is not fair boohoo.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Quin and Austin would be unreasonably cute together, with Quin hiding his VT traits ever since he developed them and Austin absolutely refusing to do the same they are just so opposites attract but also similar because they have a shared experience of being VT and goal in mind, which is supporting their fellow people and they're just AHHHHHH

30 Days of Echor - Week 3

Definitely didn't forget to post this def not (I have goldfish brain so this has been sat in my drafts lol)

Ino Aristos

Where They Grew Up: Ino grew up in the UK, which is slightly ahead of VT legislation in terms of a registry, making her life as a born VT interesting. Moved to Echor at 18 to be with Atlas.

Relationships: Married to her lovely wife Atlas, knows a lot of VTs in Echor due to the secret VT bars and clubs she sings at,

Character Flaws: She says "lol" and "lmao" out loud (I definitely don't do this haha), prideful, defensive, temperamental, impulsive, slightly reckless when it comes to her own safety when defending what she believes to be right (Atlas has had to physically drag her away from a fight before she clawed someone's eyes out, Ino swears to this day he deserved it)

Average Day: Wake up at mid-day to Atlas bringing them tea, complain about not being able to have caffeine, eat breakfast, nap, do some coding, nap again, eat again, more tea, shower and wing cleaning, have dinner with Atlas at 6pm, if she has a gig booked, she heads to work at 7pm, finishes at around 2-3am, if they don't have a gig, go and do Uni work at favourite coffee shop Night Shift (beloved) until 4am, heads home, has more tea, goes to bed, rinse and repeat

Atlas Aristos

Where They Grew Up: Grew up in Aurella Heights before her parents divorced and her mom got custody, then one of the cheaper apartments in Sage Grove after she moved in with her mom and sisters, and then to Downtown Echor to be with Ino.

Relationships: Married to her dear wife Ino, knows some VTs as an extension of Ino taking her places, her colleagues at the shitty food place she works in, but mostly keeps to herself

Character Flaws: Comes across as cold when really just anxious, holds grudges, often appears to be overdramatic when having meltdowns over "little things", can be very sarcastic and blunt, perfectionist (usually to her own downfall)

Average Day: Wake up at 8am sharp, make coffee for herself , begin cleaning around the house, go for a jog, grab a pastry, get back home at 9:30am, get dressed properly, continue cleaning until 11:30am, contemplate getting a job she enjoys that pays better than her current job, contemplate what life would be like if she could afford college, make tea, go wake up beloved wife at 12pm, give wife tea, make sure wife eats breakfast because she will forget if she doesn't get reminded, work on nursery for soon arriving baby while wife naps, paint, contemplate what life would be like if she had a better job and went to college again, make more coffee, think about beloved wife, locate and kiss wife, make sure she's eaten more than just breakfast, get ready for work at shit food place job, make dinner so it's done for 6pm exactly, eat dinner, rush to work, work until 2:30 am, spend 15 minute travel time contemplating quitting, get home, have some lavender tea with honey, fall asleep listening to asmr

30 days of Echor - Week 2

So I'm back to talk about my lovely OCs again with this weeks prompts (I have serious brainrot over them thank you so much @green-eyes-and-orange-ties for starting this)

1.Ino Aristos

Hair: Short light brown bob with curtain bangs, curly, tighter curls near her ears Eyes: One teal, one bright pink, no pupils, people think they're contacts most the time Distinctive Markings: Other than her VT traits, she has a scar on her cheek from cutting it by accident with the edge of a cupboard door (she's short okay leave them alone), and a tattoo of the leo and cancer symbols intertwined on her shoulder Everyday Clothes: white or black tank top, baggy black jeans or black skirt with ripped tights, grey or, if she's feeling daring, pink custom made jumper with space for wings, big black floor length faux fur coat to hide wings, and black and pink platform boots Formal: Never really had a chance to wear formal apart from her wedding day, where she wore a black dress with real lace on the sleeves and neck, complete with poofy sleeves and skirt PJs: Pink tank top with "don't talk to me unless I've had my coffee" written on the front, and pink with rainbow stars short-shorts Something That Isn’t What It Appears To Be: The coat hides her wings pretty well that people don't know unless she takes the coat off

2. Atlas Aristos

Hair: Sunset colours (pink and blonde), usually clipped back away from her eyes with her flower hairclip but it still somehow falls in her face, short wolf cut with bits that always stick out at the sides (Ino calls it axolotl hair) Eyes: Green with snake-like pupils Distinctive Markings: As well as her previously mentioned VT traits, she also has white egg-shell-like scales on her cheeks (luckily these can be covered with makeup pretty easily), and the same tattoo as Ino (matchy matchy) Everyday Clothes: White or pink graphic t-shirt with a cute design on the front, pink or white plaid skirt, thigh highs or tights, light tan coat or green leather jacket, pink and white platform boots, and her signature hello kitty backpack and my melody strap bag (one can never be over prepared) Formal: Like with Ino, only wore formal for her wedding, where she wore a blush tulle and lace off-the-shoulder dress, which had floral designs on the bodice and sleeves, completed with matching pink floral heels PJs: Black and pink kuromi pajama bra and short-shorts (if it's cold she puts her my melody onesie on) Something That Isn't What It Appears To Be: From how she looks and dresses, you wouldn't expect her to be the one in the couple that carries around self-defense items in case they get attacked for whatever reason, but in that cute sanrio bag, there's an equally cute and pink switch knife and pepper spray

Oh this was so much fun!!! I made them pinterest boards to get ideas for their outfits and such, and I made picrews of them too! The one with the pink background is Ino and the purple is Atlas

I can't wait to do next week's!!!

For 30 days of Echor, a @green-eyes-and-orange-ties initiative! Week 1: Ships (there are many other prompts, but this was the easiest for me. Will try to do others though!)

This is drawn from Mapplethorpe's photograph "Two men dancing", which is one of my favorites, though I have a huuuuge soft spot for his eroticas. The photograph is very high contrast (how do you say clairobscure in English? The thing Caravaggio was fucking good at?), and I do love me some stark black and white, but I wanted to try the glowy shadows route, and I think I like this quite a lot. Will try again.

30 Days of Echor!

So as a way of hyping NSP's season two crowdfunding I thought it could be fun to do a 30 day challenge ...

How It Works - Each week has a theme and fitting within that theme are suggested prompts for OC creation and wide prompts for any and all things creative. I tried to make the prompts so that you can cross pollenate and use creative prompts for your OCs and vice versa if you'd like. Once you've finished your creation (be it writing, painting, a playlist for the canon universe or for your OC) post it on here with the tag #30DaysOfEchor and/or #EchorOCs - I'll be following both <3 Have fun, Beans!
