Massive Captivity (a huge killing game)
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/nxJF7CE

I adjusted the age gaps of characters for this to make sense. Image each class to be their year of high school (Japan high school years). They all have memory loss, some just have more than others.
3rd year (oldest and have the most memory loss) - Goodbye despair cast
2nd year - Trigger happy Havoc
First year (younger and least memory loss) - V3

Seems like your looking for something to enliven you up(100 questions) but nobody seems obliging. So let me get your gears spinning, not the 100 questions though. My question is, with the graduation of Paruru and the imminent departure of Yukirin and Mayuyu somewhere on the horizon, AKB will have no ace with enough star power to take them to the future. Will they be sidelined by the sister groups as another has-been top idols? What do you see them doing to avoid this? Much appreciate your blogs.
First of all, thank you Anon that you take time to look at my posts and messages.
Hmmm, that’s a good question. Looking at the group now, I feel like this is the same atmosphere I felt and many felt when staff decided to hold a Grand Reshuffle in 2014 after Yuko and many veteran members have left the group.
Because honestly, like I’ve stated before, Paruru is like the 2nd Maeda Atsuko to me. I would’ve thought she’d lead the group longer. But now that she’s graduated I am concerned about who could fill in her place. And like you pointed out, there’s no telling when Yukirin or Mayuyu will leave the group as well.
I mean I know currently we’ve got Sakura being the face, as long as she continues to have a concurrent position in Team A. (To be honest I’m still puzzled over why management chose her to be double center for an AKB single and be the center for Kimi wa Melody when it’s supposed to be AKB’s 10th anniversary single.)
And with sister group having big shining aces like Jurina and Sayanee (both cancelling their concurrent positions in Team K to dedicate their time in SKE48 and NMB48 only), I am even more concerned for AKB. At this point I am beginning to think the sister groups might outshine their senior group.
However, based on my opinion, there are at least one or two members who I can sorta see the ace aura growing within AKB48 specifically.
To start, I would have to say that Mukaichi Mion is one of the few who is on the path to become the ace of AKB. As we all know, she was chosen by former ace Oshima Yuko to center in Heavy Rotation after the latter graduated, and she recently centered one AKB single so far. She even claims that her goal would be to one day be the center of the new AKB48. And lately Mion’s getting some screentime like appearing in 48G’s recent dramas and stages.
Another candidate I think might be ace material would be Kojima Mako. Being the ace of the 14th gen, ace of Minegishi Team 4, and the ace of her unit Tentoumu Chu, and not to mention she has centered in several B-side songs for AKB’s singles, I’d say with just more push from staff, Kojimako might be a future ace of AKB.
To be honest I would’ve thought Owada Nana would be a future ace as well seeing that she has been named ace of the 15th gen and having same amount of screentime as Kojimako. But as we all recently heard, she too will be graduating from the group. Leaving the group so soon…so sad.
Right now though, until the time when Mion or Kojimako step up to the plate as aces, I guess Sakura will be the center so long as she’s concurrent Team A member.
But who knows? Perhaps management might choose someone we might not expect to push into the spotlight as ace like they did several times in the past.
I mean in the beginning, staff didn’t see ace material in Acchan and Yuko when they first entered the group years ago. But then the next thing you know, boom, they are labeled faces of the group.
We might have to wait and see. The way I see it, Aki-P is a man full of surprises and ideas. If he was able to pick someone who describes herself as “a girl without talents” as the center of a stage unit who eventually became the ace and face of the whole group years ago, then he might do that same thing again. We’ll have to trust his instincts.
I’m sorry if this response is too long, but I hope this answers your question Anon.

(BTW, those who’ve sent me asks and messages, please know that when I’ll respond to them varies. Some might take me extra time to answer due to my job. But don’t worry. I’ve read them and working on them!)

senbatsu sunday. 8tos and nogi 3rd.
ayy it’s sunday. i know i’ve been less active recently. this is also true of stage48, /jp/, reddit. it’s just that i’ve finished translating all the non-Eng Ikudon work, so i decided to take a break. also school and major depression continue to occupy my life.
anyway, weeabatsu is fun, therapeutic, and easy for me. so here’s this weeks changes. the top18 seems pretty unbreakable at this point. long post incoming.
01. ske down 9.32 points, 14.32 above average. as a group, ske took the biggest loss this week, yet they still have the best average. i really can’t explain or understand what makes ske girls so good. i finally decided that rena is truly best matsui. i was surprised to see her in Million Yen Women (which was pretty decent), and even more surprised to realize that was her in Nietzsche Konbini.
02. nogi up 0.96 points, 8.21 above average. don’t let the weeabatsu fool you; nogizaka is my favorite group. i re-watched nogibingo8 specifically so that i could boost some of the 3rd gens out of the bottom ranks. as result, nogi is the only group with an average increase this week. i will say, however, that our top girls are getting a little stale (ikuta through hoshino). but that’s the result of them being more successful/busy and caring less about variety.
03. keyaki down 3.72 points, 8.03 above average. lord, i wish they would wear those suits all the time. our girl techi is kakkoii as fuck. hiragana 2nds are inbound. i feel really bad for hiragana 1sts tho. they’re the same gen as nogi 3rds (and just as good imo). but if we don’t mix them into kanji senbatsu, i don’t think hiraganas will ever be considered “true” keyakis.
04. akb down 2.53 points, 7.12 above average. taniguchi megu (90), owada nana,  mukaichi mion, mogi shinobu, oshima ryoka (160-163), and izuta rina (214) added.
05. nmb down 4.85 points, 1.45 above average. murase, yabushita, and fujie took the biggest hits this week. they were so high to begin with because of recency bias (which i will never truly be rid of). i want to say that i’m sure nmb would be higher than akb if there was more subbed content.
06. hkt down 4 points, 12.3 below average. i used to feel about hkt as i currently feel about 8s (read below), but now i know it’s full of good girls. i don’t know how well each group sells, but from my perspective it feels like they’re in a more hopeful position than ske and nmb. i finally let go of murashige and tanaka as my numbers 3 and 4 who have lost some of their shine.
07. sdn down 0.6 points, 35.2 below average. every time, i’m surprised that sdn isn’t the lowest rank group. i guess 8os and ngt are still new to me.
08. ngt down 8.36 points, 40.36 below average. no updates involving ngt really. and there pretty much won’t be unless subbers pick up ngt shows.
09. team8 added, 57.5 points below average. six members: okabe rin, hayasaka tsumugi, oguri yui, yamada nanami, oda erina, and yokoyama yui (169-174). i want to say that i don’t really like the team8 concept. i regularly refer to them as the “jailbait toyota shills,” coming from a guy who still thinks hkt is too young on average. that said, these six girls aren’t that bad. in fact, i think okabe, hayasaka, and oguri in particular have a lot of potential. i also like WRH as MCs if that means anything.
overall, the ranks are nearing the way i actually feel about each group with sakamichi at the top followed by akb/nmb. we still have ske as a weird outlier though, and somehow ngt dropped below sdn’s average.
i’m patiently waiting for subbers to pick up ngt, stu, and =love content. maybe someday i’ll be nihongo-proficient enough to do it myself. i’m also curious about hello!p girls who i’m surprised have so few subs out.
