My favourite Chinese restaurant has one hell of an aquarium out front. I've been in a lot of Chinese restaurants over the years, and it seems to be one consistent part of the decor. Bill (his real name) has gone above and beyond, because it seems to have turned into his weird hobby.
The last time I was in there, five minutes before closing, trying to scam them into giving me a couple trays of free about-to-expire dim sum, there were a bunch of photographers in the lobby. Those photogs were from some kind of fish magazine, a big one. To hear it from them, some of these species are real rare even in fancy-pants fish zoos, and much more unlikely to see in a place that serves a scallion pancake that frankly kicks ass.
Now, I have to caution you, and not just because the FCC has been climbing up my ass about "unsolicited endorsements." Just because he has cool fish, and he has good food, doesn't mean that all restaurants with cool fish will have good food, or vice versa. Use your best judgment, by which I mean being nice enough to rapidly eat without question the slightly-singed dried-out leftovers they drop on your plate like you're some kind of human Garburator. Get out of there quick, so they don't have to wait on your rapidly-inflating waistline instead of going home to visit their friends/family/pets, or heading to eBay to buy more fish.
And don't, above all else, try to curry favour with the proprietor by jumping into the tank and helping him clean it from the inside as an "odd job." Not only is Rotella T5 20W50 not great for the fish, but your dripping-wet work clothes won't endear Bill into letting you test drive his minty '81 Sapporo, either. Such incredible taste.

ارابيان درايف - السائق العربي - يعتمد المحرك على العديد من القطع الميكانيكية والكهربائية بالإضافة إلى بعض الزيوت والسوائل لعمل السيارة بكفاءة عالية، ويعد زيت المحرك من أهم العوامل التي تساعد المحرك على العمل بكفاءة ويحافظ عليه من التلف، حيث يقوم الزيت بالعديد من الوظائف الهامة داخل المحرك، ومنها تزليج القطع المعدنية بداخلها لمنعها من الاحتكاك والكسر، كما يقوم بتنقية المحرك من الشوائب والاتساخات، بالإضافة إلى الحفاظ على حرارة المحرك في الحدود المسموح بها.
وتنقسم زيوت المحرك إلى عدة أنواع، وخلال السطور التالية سنوضح لكم أنواع الزيوت المختلفة والفرق بينها بالإضافة إلى الرموز الخاصة بها، وسنتعرف أيضًا على رموز الزيوت ال��خليقية.

- الأنواع الثلاثة لزيوت المحرك الرئيسية
هناك 3 أنواع رئيسية يندرج تحتها أغلب أنواع الزيوت، فهناك الزيوت الطبيعية أو المعدنية، ومصدرها النفط الخام، إلى جانب الزيوت التخليقية الصناعية، التي تحتوي على نسبة من الزيت الطبيعي بشكل أساسي، ويتم تعديلها كيميائياً وإضافة بعض المواد لتحسين خصائصها، وأخيرًا النوع الثالث هو خليط بينهما بنسبة 70% من الزيوت الطبيعية، و30% للزيون الصناعية، وهذا النوع الأخير يسمى بالزيوت الشبه تخليقية، ويقول الخبراء إن الزيت التخليقي، هو نوع من الزيوت تم تصنيعها معملياً عن طريق تركيبها كيميائياً مع الخلط بالإضافات التي تضمن للمحرك أفضل حماية وأداء.
- الفرق بين أنواع الزيوت الثلاثة
- زيوت معدنية: يتم الحصول عليها عن طريق تكرير البترول، وتُستخدم عمومًا في المحركات "التقليدية"، أو الموديلات القديمة، أو المحركات التي لا تحتوي على شواحن توربينية، إنها أكثر سمكًا من الزيوت الاصطناعية ( الزيوت التخليقية) أو شبه الاصطناعية، ويوصى بها للقيادة في المناخات المعتدلة (فهي غير متوافقة مع درجات الحرارة القصوى)، ويعد استقرار الأكسدة الخاص بها أقل من الأنواع الأخرى من زيوت المحركات، لذلك يجب تغييرها بشكل متكرر أكثر من الزيوت الاصطناعية، وتتميز بتكلفتها المنخفضة، وتختلف الرموز الخاصة بها عن رموز الزيوت التخليقية.
- زيوت اصطناعية (تخليقية): وتحتوي الزيوت الاصطناعية المعدلة كيميائيًا على شوائب أقل من الزيوت المعدنية لزيادة أدائها وبالتالي فهي ذات جودة أفضل، وهي مصممة للمحركات العالية الأداء، مما يجعلها أكثر ملاءمة للمركبات الأكثر حداثة والسيارات الرياضية.
وتسهل الزيوت التخليقية بدء تشغيل المحرك على البارد مع تحمل درجات حرارة التشغيل المرتفعة، كما أنها تعمل على تحسين صيانة المحرك، يمكنك الذهاب لفترة أطول بين عمليات تغيير الزيت لكل من محركات الديزل والبنزين، وتتنوع رموز الزيوت التخليقية عن الزيوت الأخرى.
- زيوت شبه اصطناعية: إنها مزيج من الزيوت المعدنية والزيت الاصطناعي، وذلك عن طريق إضافة الزيت الاصطناعي إلى الزيت المعدني، مما يساعد على تحسين الأداء والحماية، بالتالي فإن الزيوت شبه الاصطناعية تقدم نسبة جودة أفضل وسعر جيد، ولا يؤثر استخدامها على وتيرة تغييرات زيت المحرك.
وتنقسم الزيوت التخليقية الى نوعين كما تتعدد رموز الزيوت التخليقية، النوع الأول 100% تخليقية مثل 0w30 أو 5w30 أو 5w40، وأخرى نصف تخليقية مثل 10w40، أما رموز الزيوت المعدنية منها 15w40 أو 20w50 وهي زيوت أقل جودة.

تعريف معاني رموز الزيوت التخليقية والعادية للمحركات:
- ما معنى 5w40
5 هو لزوجة الزيت في الطقس البارد عند تشغيل المحرك
يدل حرف w على فصل الشتاء
40 هو لزوجة الزيت عند درجة حرارة عالية أي بعد تشغيل المحرك
أي كلما زاد الرقم 30, 40, 50, 60 كان أفضل للحفاظ على المحرك في الدرجات العالية أي 60 أفضل من 40
كلما أن نقص الرمز والرقم: 0w, 5w, 10w, 15w, 20w كان أفضل عند تشغيل المحرك في درجات الحرارة الباردة، حيث إن الزيت تخف لزوجته كلما نقص الرقم، أي 0w أفضل من 15w عند تشغيل المحرك حيث أنه كلما خف الزيت كلما كان أسهل له الإنتقال إلى كل أجزاء المحرك، وهي رموز الزيوت التخليقية، وكشفت الدراسات عن إن عملية تآكل المحرك تكون في الدقائق الأولى بعد التشغيل، ولهذا يجب استعمال زيوت خفيفة للحفاظ على المحرك
