177776 is told from the point of view of pioneer 9, which is a probe that scientists sent out into space a bunch of years ago. they become sentient after 15000 (ish? i don't remember a lot of specifics) years of being in a "coma". it's able to communicate with earth again with help from two other probes, pioneer 10 and JUICE. all they do is watch football because humans have been immortal since 2026 and made the game super complicated with all the time they have. it's really interesting!
