─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Something in Kyo’s gene pool made his height spring up nearly overnight. You’d even be happy for him—
“How’s the weather down there?”
—If he didn’t rub it in your face any chance he got.
It’s karma. You were taller than him just a few weeks ago and watching him react to you poking fun at his height is what kept you going. Now he towers over you (nothing to be ashamed of) and leans down while he speaks (everything to be ashamed of).
You scoff and roll with the punches. “Nice and shady while your beanstalk ass stares directly into the sun.”
“Nah, I’m having the time of my life up here,” Kyo says. You walk side by side with him, and now that today's classes at the Institute are over, it's at your own pace, without any of the rush of the school day. “Is this what it’s like to be the tall one?”
“Something like that. If I knew you would be this obnoxious about growth spurts, I would’ve told the moon to pick someone else.” You poke him. “Should’ve made me even taller than you.”
“You wish, being shorter suits you. It's cute.”
“You saying I’m cute?”
Kyo is quick to retort whenever any of your friends insinuate anything around him, but as his mouth opens, no sound comes out. His lips are slightly parted.
"You are!" You bump up against his arm to bring his guard down. "Aww, I had no idea you thought of me like that. You're not an asshole like you insist, are you?"
"Fuck off. I'm talking about your height, not you."
"Same thing! Besides, didn't you hate being called cute when you were smaller than me?"
"Woah, this isn't about me."
"Exactly." You smirk. "You want me to call you cute too?"
He doesn't say anything to that either, so between your footfalls, you look right up at him and his stupid height, ready to banter right back at whatever he says next.
What isn't expected is how he stares straight ahead, too focused on something that doesn't exist to watch you. The dyed streaks in his hair, usually tucked behind his ear, hang in front of his face instead, as if the pink would suggest the color over his face as a trick of a light.
When was the last time Kyo was speechless like this? You can't recall any of your other friends winning over no matter how they tried pushing his buttons. Perhaps he's the type that can dish it out but can't take it—after all, you're the only one in the Institute that can go toe-to-toe with him and his biting wit.
Curious to test the hypothesis, you bump up to him again. "You aren't denying it."
He tilts his head away, but now there's no mistaking the blush as anything else, just as bright as his hair along his cheek and over the corners of his ears, and a grumble under his breath you can't understand.
"Sorry, can't hear you, speak up please?" You tease, feigning innocence.
Kyo's brows scrunch together as he snaps his head to you, but despite the height and the many conversations you've had with him, he looks smaller than ever. "I said fine. You're cute. Happy now?"
Now it's your turn to forget how to speak, but luckily, you recover faster than he ever did. "Yes, actually."
"Great."
The pathway goes from pavement to dirt, and the crunching gravel under your shoes takes up the space your words can't fill. A tiny feeling of victory spreads through you.
"Are you embarrassed?" You ask.
"No," he says.
Neither of you buy it.

None. The military knives have not included the popular toothpick and tweezers of the civilian knives, probably due to the fact that they are too easily lost in the field, or considered to be non-essential for soldiers. Excluding them would also make the production of the Alox scales simpler. A Swiss Army Knife has actually been to the Swiss armed force, and has actually continued every year to the present day.

Prior to the Soldier's knife was the 100mm Original Soldier's Knife initially made by Victorinox in Between the Soldier was the similar, but smaller, 93mm 1951 Soldier's Knife. The Soldier design was in leading to this familiar 93mm alox dealt with knife, which was provided between and This knife was likewise provided to other military organisations, in addition to the Swiss troops.
The Leader variety was introduced for the first time to the market in 1957. This variety led to the development of the Soldier Knife (Design 1961) with red aluminium manages which was delivered, the very first time, to the Swiss Army in June 1962. There was no shipment to the Swiss Army by Victorinox in 1960 and http://www.geocities.ws/morgaine325/index-2.html 1961, whereas Wenger produced the previous model during these 2 years.
Nevertheless, red alox designs are likewise known to exist, in addition to the silver handled designs, in between and, with the exception of 1972 & 1974. In the 1977 transition year knives were produced with both the old style and the brand-new design scales. Data Analysis Tools Week 2 Running a Chi-Square Test of Independence
1.Background
I have decided to look at Mars craters and ask the following question:
A. Are shallower depth craters associated with locations near the North and South poles of Mars?” The dataset was limited to craters that had a diameter of 100 km or less and a crater depth that was greater than 0 km.
I divided up the latitude of the planet into 5 bins based on the latitude degree increments/bins to see if there was a significant difference between the latitude of these groups and the depth of the crater.
I classified the crater as either being shallow or deep based on the crater depth.  The cutoff was chosen to be 180m.
2.Notes about the Results
2.1 The crater count based on the latitude is shown below:
Tumblr media
2.2 The crater classification is based on the plot below, where the majority of the craters are classified as deep.
Tumblr media
2.3 The overall mean deep craters are shown in the plot below.  There seems to be a correlation between latitude and depth of the crater, with a higher concentration of deep craters near the equator of the planet.  Lets perform a Chi-squared analysis to further investigate.
Tumblr media
The Chi Squared test was run in Python and the full code is below in section 3.  The full results are shown in section 4.
For example the Chi squared test that was coded was written as follows:
Tumblr media
The output showed that the p value was under 0.05 and the value was 0.0 indicating that a Post Hoc test was necessary.  The p value showed that the alternate hypothesis is to be accepted and there is a correlation between deep craters and the latitude.

An example Post Hoc test was coded as follows:
Tumblr media
The output showed that the p value was 0.0 indicating the was under the Bonferroni adjustment and the null hypothesis was rejected indicating there is a correlation between latitude groups (-90 to -50 and -50 to -20):

A table summarizing the results of the 10 Chi Square results are shown below.  It shows that we can not accept the null hypothesis and there is a correlation between latitude and crater depth.  There is a stronger correlation when looking at the areas close to the poles vs the equator.

The 25 Best Places To Eat & Drink In Phoenix (1) added to Google Docs
The 25 Best Places To Eat & Drink In Phoenix (1)
From tortas to the best pizza in America, there’s a lot of good things to eat in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Sure, there are the expected taco spots, pizzerias, and Southwest diners, but Phoenix’s restaurants can surprise you too with their unexpected details (like creepy dolls sitting in a basement). Whether you’re craving barbacoa for brunch or house-made pasta for dinner, we’ve organized this guide by meal so you’ll always know where to eat next.
Breakfast  Rachel Richards Lux Central $ $ $ $ American  in  Uptown $$$$ 4402 N Central Ave Not
Rated
Yet
Lux does a little bit of everything - they’re the kind of place that could probably assemble Ikea furniture without having an existential crisis. Part cafe, part bar, and part restaurant, this Central Avenue spot works whether you want coffee and a pastry, a cocktail, or some of the best mac and cheese in the city. Keep it in mind for breakfast before visiting The Heard Museum or Phoenix Art Museum nearby. Lux Central opens at 6am daily.
 Rachel Richards Ocotillo $ $ $ $ American ,  Pasta  in  Midtown $$$$ 3243 N 3rd St Not
Rated
Yet
Don’t expect tumbleweeds and swinging saloon doors when you come to Phoenix. Instead, you’ll find places like Ocotillo - a cool spot with an outdoor patio/beer garden that’s great for groups. Come for the fantastic brunch, which has everything from a skillet pancake with roasted bananas to brie-stuffed French toast. It’s also a great spot for lunch or dinner with its American menu with Southwestern twists, like beef ribs with a mole espresso barbeque sauce and the crispy eggplant “meatballs” over parmesan polenta.
 Futuro at Palabra Collective $ $ $ $ Cafe/Bakery  in  Downtown $$$$ 909 N 1st St
Maybe you have an affinity for minimalist design, or you just don’t feel like waiting in line to eat at a breakfast spot Guy Fieri has called “gangster.” Futuro is a very white and bright cafe inside a hair salon that serves excellent Mexican coffee drinks (try the Cajeta, made with goat-milk caramel and sea salt) as well as pastries. And if you’re here when they serve brunch - on the weekends October through May only - anything involving barbacoa is on the menu, order it.
Lunch Tacos Chiwas $ $ $ $ Mexican  in  Midtown $$$$ 1923 E McDowell Rd Not
Rated
Yet
Tacos are the unofficial love language of Phoenix, and they end up on the majority of restaurant menus - Mexican or not. While the number of places with overpriced chicken tacos and a Dia de los Muertos theme continues to grow in the Valley, you’ll find us at Tacos Chiwas. Here, the meats are super flavorful, the tortillas are soft (but not so soft they fall apart), and we’d like to install their salsa bar in our own kitchens. Try the classics like carne asada and al pastor, but don’t skip out on the lengua or chiwas (beef, ham, jalapeno, Anaheim chiles, asadero cheese). It’s a small space with only a few tables, but it’s perfect for two or three people who want a quick taco lunch.
 Shelby Moore Windsor $ $ $ $ American  in  Uptown $$$$ 5223 N Central Ave Not
Rated
Yet
When you want to spend a day with friends eating and drinking without wasting time traveling from neighborhood to neighborhood, Central Ave has you covered. Start your own bar/restaurant crawl at Windsor, an American spot with great bar food, before grabbing a Grid Bike (Phoenix’s bike-share system) and riding along the tree-lined Bridle Path. Then head to Postino for wine, Federal for wood-fired pizza, and Joyride for tacos. Drinks are $5 until 5pm at all of these spots, even on the weekends.
Pizzeria Bianco Downtown $ $ $ $ Pizza  in  Downtown $$$$ 623 E Adams St Not
Rated
Yet
If you’re in Phoenix for just one day, Pizzeria Bianco is the restaurant you need to eat at because they’re serving some of the best pizza in the country. Start with the spiedini (fontina wrapped in prosciutto) and follow with the Rosa pizza, which is topped with pistachios and rosemary. Located downtown, this casual, brick-walled spot with outdoor seating is the original of two locations in the city.
 Danny Upshaw The Churchill $ $ $ $ Market  in  Downtown $$$$ 901 N 1st St Not
Rated
Yet
This open-air food court is about a 12-minute walk from the Phoenix Convention Center, so make a stop here after a day filled with networking, seminars, and conversations about the dry heat. It’s a courtyard surrounded by repurposed shipping containers out of which local vendors sell burgers, tacos, pizza, and drinks.
Los Reyes de la Torta $ $ $ $ Mexican  in  Uptown $$$$ 9230 North 7th Street Not
Rated
Yet
Our favorite tortas (Mexican sandwiches) in the city are at Los Reyes de la Torta. The bread is soft, the fillings are delicious, and it’ll be so large you’ll wonder how you ever spent $10 on anything else. The most popular torta - and our favorite - is the Norteña with chipotle-marinated chicken or steak with caramelized jalapeños, onions, melted mozzarella, and a smear of refried beans. Pair it with one of their many shareable frescas (freshly squeezed juices) or even better, BYOB. Los Reyes is a larger space than Tacos Chiwas, but still super casual.
 Rachel Richards Fellow Osteria & Pizzeria $ $ $ $ Italian  in  South Scottsdale $$$$ 1455 N Scottsdale Rd #100 Not
Rated
Yet
Located in South Scottsdale, Fellow Osteria serves the best, and most-reasonably priced lunch in the area. There are house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas as well as a great lunch special (half pizza and small salad for $10, and deals on drinks). Have a long lunch here then spend the rest of the afternoon in the Desert Botanical Gardens (about a five-minute drive away) ranking your top 10 favorite species of cacti.
Ingo's $ $ $ $ American  in  Arcadia $$$$ 4502 N 40th St Not
Rated
Yet
When you land in Phoenix craving something other than airplane food, head to Ingo’s in Arcadia. Choose from a menu of fried chicken sandwiches and gourmet burgers, order cocktails by the carafe, and replenish your vitamin D supply out on the patio.

Rated
Yet
Trying to convince someone in Phoenix that your favorite Mexican restaurant is better than theirs is like trying to convince another dog owner that yours is cuter. But we’re big on bold statements so we’ll tell you that the best Mexican food is at Barrio Café Gran Reserva, on the outskirts of Downtown. They serve food from different regions of Mexico, setting it apart from the Sonoran-style of Mexican food you’ll find all over the city. Barrio Café Gran Reserva is well-known for its mole (it’s even used in a few of the cocktails), so be sure to center your order around trying multiple types. If no one in your group volunteers as team orderer, try the $50 six-course tasting menu for dinner.
 Rachel Richards Tratto $ $ $ $ Italian  in  Midtown $$$$ 4743 N 20th St Not
Rated
Yet
Founded by the same guy as Pizzeria Bianco, Tratto is a pasta-focused restaurant right next to Bianco’s location in the Town & Country Center. Tratto is best when you share a few things from their regularly-changing menu that has included dishes like cavatelli with duck and prosciutto ragu. There’s an off-menu cacio e pepe that’s phenomenal here too. Try to get a reservation ahead of time, otherwise you can try your luck at the first-come-first-serve bar.
Pizzeria Bianco Town & Country Center $ $ $ $ Pizza ,  Italian  in  Midtown $$$$ 4743 N 20th St Not
Rated
Yet
The second location of this pizzeria in the Town & Country Center is more of a dinner play. There’s an expanded menu (that still includes the famous pizza) and later weekend hours, and they take reservations. The space is still rustic, but this one looks more like the country home of an eccentric aunt with the mismatched chandeliers and thrift store art all over the walls.
 Melissa Fossum Dino's Napoletana $ $ $ $ Pizza  in  Midtown $$$$ 710 W Montecito Ave Not
Rated
Yet
Dino’s Napoletana is one of our favorite late-night food options in Phoenix, and it’s located in the back of Thunderbird Lounge, a ’70s inspired bar. The menu is small (just a margarita, a salami, and a green pie with zucchini, ricotta, pistachio, and mint), the hours are short and late (Tues-Thurs 8pm-12am, Fri-Sat 8pm-2am), and there’s only outdoor seating. But don’t let any of that stop you. The pizza here is some of the best you can eat in the city.
Glai Baan $ $ $ $ Thai  in  Midtown $$$$ 2333 E Osborn Rd Not
Rated
Yet
Glai Baan is a lively Thai restaurant perfect for a night out with friends. It’s located in a converted bungalow in Midtown and serves shareable street food-inspired Thai dishes that are all under $20 - like salted crab papaya salad and pork skewers. Seating is limited and wait times can run high, but it’ll be worth it once you’re eating panang curry with braised beef and nua num tok under a string of twinkling lights.
 Sid Pearce Restaurant Progress $ $ $ $ American  in  Uptown $$$$ 702 W Montecito Ave Not
Rated
Yet
Coming to Restaurant Progress is like upgrading to an exit row seat - sure, it costs extra but you’ll be happy you spent the money. This place feels casual and unpretentious, but serves the kind of food you’d expect to find somewhere more upscale - with staples like foie gras with lentils, dates, and brown butter walnuts and an octopus dish with melted tomato and garlic confit. If you’re tired of having to make daily life choices on what to wear, eat, watch, and do - then let the chef decide your meal for you here with the $75 five-course set menu.
Hermosa Inn Lon’s At The Hermosa $ $ $ $ American  in  Paradise Valley $$$$ 5532 N Palo Cristi Rd Not
Rated
Yet
We have a theory that all vacation home purchases in Phoenix were decided after eating at Lon’s. Located at The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley - a small area near Scottsdale - Lon’s is fine dining with beautiful views and the best patio in the area. Order The Stetson (a mezcal, prickly-pear cocktail) and choose from dishes like lobster tempura, steaks, and scallops. Definitely make a reservation to sit on the patio and time it up with the sunset.
Rachel Richards The Canal Club $ $ $ $ American ,  Cuban  in  Old Town Scottsdale $$$$ In The Scott Resort & Spa Not
Rated
Yet
Old Town Scottsdale is kind of like a diet Vegas. It’s the best place to come when you’re planning to get rowdy, and the best place to go for dinner to start is The Canal Club. The theme here is 1930s Havana, and the menu puts a modern twist on that, with dishes like fried plantains with smoked black bean puree, pan roasted scallops with creamed masa and chorizo, and a gaucho steak with masa potato cakes. It’s always full of groups who probably have the same plan as you - and there are always events happening at The Canal Club, from game nights every Wednesday to Friday night movies with cocktails and complimentary Mexican street popcorn.
 Rachel Richards Welcome Diner $ $ $ $ American ,  Diner  in  Downtown $$$$ 929 E Pierce St Not
Rated
Yet
Welcome Diner isn’t exactly downtown, it’s slightly east in the Garfield neighborhood. But because it’s open late (until 2am every night) and serves exactly the type of food you want after a long night at the downtown bars, you’ll want it on your list. The Southern menu here includes things like the Big Jim (a fried chicken biscuit sandwich with sausage gravy), Andouille corn dogs, and mac and cheese.
drinks  Nohealani Cutting Hanny's $ $ $ $ American ,  Pizza  in  Downtown $$$$ 40 N 1st St Not
Rated
Yet
Located in a 1940s department store, Hanny’s looks pretty average on the surface. But grab a $7 martini and take the glass-bottomed elevator downstairs where you’ll find old porcelain dolls sitting in a row behind a chain-link fence, and old dressing rooms repurposed into some very neon bathrooms. You may have come here for drinks and some hot honey pepperoni pizza, but you’ll stay to see if the rumor about the dolls inexplicably disappearing and reappearing is true. It’s as much a bar as it is an experience - just check your bag before you leave to make sure one of these creepy dolls hasn’t hitched a ride home.
 Grace Stufkosky Century Grand $ $ $ $ American ,  Bar  in  Arcadia $$$$ 3626 E Indian School Rd
Picking a spot inside the Century Grand building is like deciding on your Mario Kart player - you can’t go wrong but everyone has a favorite. There’s a bar called Century Grand with an extensive cocktail and wine list, and dim sum-style carts that bring around throwback dishes like fried oyster Rockefeller and steak tartare with a cured egg yolk. There’s Platform 18, a cocktail bar that’s also a 90-minute train simulation. And there’s the Grey Hen, a bottle shop and whiskey bar with rare spirits. Regardless of where you end up, you’ll spend some money - nowhere this cool is cheap - but you’ll have found a new favorite drink or dish.
Valley Bar $ $ $ $ Bar  in  Downtown $$$$ 130 N Central Ave Not
Rated
Yet
If you’re the type of person to check the FBI’s most wanted list on your morning commute while listening to the latest episode of Crime Junkie, you should have a drink at Valley Bar. It’s inspired by Phoenix murderer Winnie Ruth Judd and there’s a shadow art installation with hanging figurines that depicts scenes from her infamous trial. Valley Bar doubles as a venue for weekly events that include everything from comedy shows to concerts to film screenings, so come for a game of pool, a performance, or to drink cocktails while learning a little local history.
 Stefan Yarish - Capsfoto International Wren House Brewing Company $ $ $ $ Brewery  in  Midtown $$$$ 2125 N 24th St Not
Rated
Yet
Exposed industrial piping, large picnic tables, and bearded guys trying to explain what beer is to the bartender must all be part of some brewery handbook. Wren House is a welcome change from that standard. In the Green Gables neighborhood in Midtown, the taproom was once a 1920s bungalow and is a perfect place to stop by for one beer and then forget what time it is four hours later. Their beer is exceptional, and they’re constantly incorporating local flavors, like Sinagua malt, Arizona wheat, and local citrus. Some nights you’ll find local food trucks out front, or you can head over to Pa’la just down the street for wood-fired Mediterranean food.
The Attic Ale House $ $ $ $ Bar Food ,  Burgers ,  Pizza  in  Arcadia $$$$ 4247 E Indian School Rd Not
Rated
Yet
Camelback Mountain separates Phoenix and Scottsdale, and has two of Phoenix’s most popular hiking trails: Cholla and Echo Canyon. The Attic Ale House, an eight-minute drive from the trailhead, is the best spot in the area for that beer and burger you’ve been imagining since about 10 minutes into your hike. There’s a long list of beer and wine options to drink alongside the Ivan burger (our favorite) with a view of the mountain, while debating whether the person who was hiking in jeans and flip flops ever made it to the top.
Rachel Richards Second Story Liquor Bar $ $ $ $ American ,  Bar Food  in  Old Town Scottsdale $$$$ 4166 N. Scottsdale Rd, #102 Not
Rated
Yet
When tequila shots and a techno version of “Don’t Stop Believing“ aren’t in the cards for the night, Second Story Liquor Bar is an excellent choice for a tamer night in Old Town Scottsdale. This is a place you come to sit in a comfy leather chair and go through their long list of whiskey and scotch-focused cocktails. Although drinks might be your priority here, they also have a small-but-solid menu of snacks like falafel with whipped feta and pork belly lettuce wraps.

SO You’re Buying Your First Gun So you’ve made the decision (a good one) to buy a gun. A gun is a gun is a gun, am I right? Not quite. There are many options in the marketplace that vary depending on your preferences and it is up to us (with your help) to find you the right one. Before we proceed we must discuss the 4 rules of firearm safety. The improper handling of firearms can have tragic consequences. Always follow these rules, ALWAYS. • Treat every gun as if it is loaded. • Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire. • Never point a gun at something you are not willing to destroy. • Always be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Why Are You Buying a Gun? There are a number of reasons for needing a gun and it is our job to ask the right questions and find you the right firearm for the job at hand. What will you use it for? A recommendation on a hunting weapon will be quite different than one for personal protection. Even within the context of personal protection, the perfect (to you) concealed carry firearm could be totally different to one you would choose for home defense. Factors such as ease of conceal, magazine capacity, caliber and sight radius may be important in some categories but not others. Understanding what it is that you wish to use the gun for will help you decide which gun or sub-category of gun is right for you. Type of Guns To a potential new gun owner some of the lingo can be quite confusing. But once you become more familiar with firearm terms such as SA/DA and striker-fired it is really quite easy. The selection of guns available is phenomenal; a reflection of current consumer tastes. While most would agree they need the same thing (a firearm to use to hunt or protect etc.) they may not want the same style due to their own personal preferences. Do you prefer revolvers to semi-autos? Like striker- over hammer-fired pistols? Would you prefer a semi-automatic rifle for home defense rather than a handgun or shotgun? Would you rather a semi-automatic versus a pump-action shotgun? Our intent is to find you a firearm that is designed for your purpose that meets your needs and expectations. How Much Should You Spend? When it comes to guns you really do get what you pay for… to a certain extent. It would be difficult trying to explain why you opted for a $100 gun with known issues versus one from a reputable manufacturer for $300. $200 is a lot of money to most people, but is it worth more than your life? Remember you will only take that firearm out when it is time to use it. You want to be assured that it will work every time, not just some of the time. You can spend hundreds dollars, you can even spend thousands if you want to, but after a certain point the quality does not change; you are simply paying for the brand and design. For plinking rifles and general range toys I have no advice. But when it comes to firearms that are for your defense, buy from a reputable manufacturer with a model/type that has been out long enough to be properly tested. Ask Us a Question We strongly believe in educating our customers. thank you for the encouragement, i’m flattered. and yes, i’m alright with adding prompts into one entry! i couldn’t tell if 12 ;) was implying you wanted form the mature list or not, so i just went with 12 from the basic list. if you meant that you wanted mature prompt 12 let me know! kind of my fault for making both lists have numbers instead of a better way to specify mature from basic. regardless i hope you enjoy
ah... i feel like i took too long of a break from writing after stars above your skin and now i'm out of it... maybe i'll take some of my own ideas in my notes and write them in 3rd pov instead of 2nd, because i feel like my 3rd pov is getting stunted... you get that feeling after not practicing a skill for a while, right? i need to get better! i always want to get better!!

🎭 Alban Knox
20. secret relationship + 23. off-collab
The thief leans over your shoulder as you cut, and the knife drips. Residue sticks to your hands as you draw gashes along the flesh. The smell is pungent, and the chat frenzies at the revolving massacre even though you have yet to notice your witnesses.
Alban crinkles his nose. “You seriously cut garlic like that?”
You pouted and continue to fumble over the clove of garlic. “You said you wanted to see me cut it!”
“Okay, but I didn’t expect it to be that bad.”
“It’s going to get minced anyways, I’m just, um, preparing it!”
“Mincing is preparing it. Gimme some of that.” You pause so Alban could pick out two pieces and hold them up to the handcam. One chunk was so big that the camera could pick up the details of the center of the clove where it had been cut, and the other was miniscule in comparison. “You see this, chat? Reader’s cutting it like it’s supposed to get diced, but it’s not even in cubes. Just weird shapes.”
“Don’t shame my garlic! They can be whatever they want to be.”
“They look like they want to die. Here, let me try.”
Alban takes the knife away and chops the remaining garlic. He’s no Michelin star chef, sure, but he’s much faster than you, and with much better technique. In just a few blinks, the clove is nothing more than tiny, evenly minced pieces.
“You’re so cool, Alban.” Your eyes practically sparkled as you focused on his work. For a moment he’s glad there isn’t a good way for your models to track on stream, because with you distracted and the chat unaware, there’s no one to see him turn his head away bashfully at the sudden praise.
You take the knife and get started on the next clove. You still have a couple more to go. Unsteady hands try to replicate Alban as much as you can. “Is it like this?”
“It’s more like…”
Alban grasps your hand, still over the knife, and guides you along with slow motions. The clove slices apart into coins, then the knife turns and cuts into strips. Afterwards, he places one of your hands along the blunt edge while the dominant remains in the handle, and chops through the pile of garlic until there’s nothing but small, even bits.
He retracts one of his hands, but his grip is still firm on top of the handle, above yours. You realize that even though the chat is likely freaking out over the hand holding, his arm is still bent out as if it came from beside you, and not from where he stands flush against your body.
Then he plants his free hand along the side of your hip, drawing you closer, and your face goes hot. Even if there’s no way the camera could pick it up, you can’t help but feel exposed. You lost count of how many live viewers you have, but you can only imagine thousands of people watching your every move, and how if that camera moves even an inch, you and your boyfriend would be in danger of getting caught.
Alban perches his head on your shoulder, coy as ever. “How’s that?”
“It’s…” You smack your lips and say the first thing on your mind before anyone can get suspicious. “Garlic.”
“Evenly cut garlic that won’t have weird cooking times,” he boasts. “Do you remember how to do it?”
Though you do have to admit, smugness is a good look on Alban, especially when he can embrace you like this.
“Nope,” you lie. “Show me again?”

18. wearing their clothes + 12. kissing before leaving for the day
Alban takes his coat off and on so often that there’s no real need for a coat hanger, even when he’s not wearing it. He tends to leave it draped in whichever room he took it off, and leaves it there until he wants it next.
This morning, it’s placed along the back of a chair in your room. It’s more of a nuisance moving it than leaving it where it is, so you continue about your morning routine as you get ready for the day ahead. You walk past it time and time again as you pace around and get yourself together.
You stare at yourself in the bathroom mirror. It’s an off-day, so you plan on getting some errands done before the afternoon rush. You’ve finished everything in your routine, but you look down at your outfit. Something feels… incomplete.
Your eyes slide over to the coat hanging off the chair.
On Alban, the coat covers almost his entire frame, and on you it’s no different. It works really well with your clothes, though, and you can understand why Alban wears it religiously. The fabric doesn’t impede your movement, but weighs down on your shoulders like a heavy blanket, and feels just as comfortable and soft as one. You bury your nose into the baggy hood. Smells ambery, just like him.
You step out of your room, still buried in the hood of his coat, and prepare the last of your things before you leave the house. As you grab your keys, you see a figure enter the room, with a fluffy bedhead and oversized sleepwear.
Alban yawns like a housecat. One eye cracks open as he does, a chocolatey brown that droops a little with drowsiness. “Good morning, Reader.”
“Good morning, Alban.” You swipe your keys into one of the coat’s many pockets with one hand, and pat Alban’s head with the other. The sleeve slides down as you reach for his messy hair. “Sleep well?”
“Mhm, really well. I didn’t want to get up at all—” He stops himself. He blinks the sleep away, then focuses on your sleeve as it rolls back down your arm, one chocolate eye and one neon taking in your appearance. “Is that my…?”
“I hope you don’t mind.”
“Of course not, why would I?”
He makes grabby hands at you, and when you get close enough for him to touch, he fiddles with how the coat lays on your body, an affectionate look on his face. He finally decides on zipping it up most of the way and flips the hood over your head. It flops over your eyes.
You reach up to readjust it, and when you regain your eyesight, you’re greeted by Alban rocking on his feet with a sweet smile. His voice is still sleepy and low, but excited. “Aww, Reader, you look so cute!”
“It’s so comfy.” You hug your sleeves and nestle into the coat, proving both your and Alban’s points. The hood flops over again, so you brush it up with one hand, resembling a cat pawing at its ear. Alban coos. “All set? I’m about to go do some errands.”
“Wait, before you go! Aren’t you forgetting something?”
He cocks his head, waiting for you to answer. Instead, you rest a hand on his shoulder and lean to meet your lips along his own. The taste is crisp and fresh, and even though you can tell he started his morning routine, Alban’s lips are slow, sleepy, and savory.
When you part, Alban playfully bats at your hood and knocks it back over your eyes. He chuckles. “Be safe, okay? I’ll see you later today.”
With a huff and clumsy hands, you push it back up while Alban’s sleepy smile turns into a smirk. In his hands is something you didn’t notice before: an old but cared-for leather wallet folded up in his grasp. Alban’s wallet.
“When did you get that?” You ask. You could’ve sworn he was empty-handed when he greeted you. Realization strikes you. You pat down the pockets on the bottom of the coat, where you last remember the wallet, and when those turn out empty, you search all the other small pockets along the coat. “Wait, don’t tell me.”
“Did you think you could pull a fast one on me?” He teases.
“No, I just—didn’t realize! Did you grab it while we were kissing? I didn’t even notice!”
“Heh, you know me! I’m an elusive, badass phantom…” Alban trails off into a massive yawn. ”…Thief. I’m a phantom thief.”
“Sure are.” You ruffle his hair. “Cutest elusive badass out there. I’ll be back before you know it.”
“Come back faster. I’ll miss you.”
“Before you know it,” you repeat. “Besides, I’m wearing your coat. I’ve got a little bit of you with me today.”
He kisses you again, this time on your forehead where the hoodie rests. You can still sense the faded toothpaste smell. “Okay. Now get out, I need to make some coffee.”
“Screw you too.” You have a hand on the doorknob. “I’ll be home soon!”

👟 Shu Yamino
20. secret relationship + 23. off-collab
“Okay, they should be able to hear you now.”
“Eyyyy, guys. How’s my volume?”
“Chat says you’re good, Shu. What about me?”
Shu’s streaming laptop is gingerly placed in the center of your impromptu studio. This off-collab was rather impulsive, and the only place in the vacation home with enough outlets for all the stream equipment was on the floor, so you dumped a bunch of blankets and pillows over the floor for both sound preservation and comfort.
At first the setup on the floor was scuffed. It took nearly an hour before stream to get things organized with PNGs instead of your models, and the first ten minutes were full of chat mentioning someone was too far away to hear.
“Too quiet,” Shu says. “I think you need to get closer to the mic.”
You shuffle forward. “How about now?”
Still, the chat can’t quite understand you. Ready to readjust, you get to your feet but Shu tugs on your pant leg before you can fully rise.
You cock your head, trying to figure out his game, but it falls into place when he lightly pats his leg. He’s sitting on a pillow with his legs folded underneath themselves, the picture of elegance without even trying. His sorcerous nature tends to make him graceful even when he’s casual, including the relaxed position during the stream.
“I think I have an idea on how to fix it, Reader.” One pointed fingernail beckons you. “Come here.”
Curious, you scooch over inch-by-inch, closing the gap between you and Shu. That is, until Shu reaches out, scoops his hand by your shoulder, and brings you down in one fell swoop. Your body is placed along his lap, with your head resting along his thighs.
Shu reaches for the mic across your head while you’re too caught off-guard to react, and fiddles with it while you watch his focused face and elongated muscle above you. The mic stand lowers. “Say something now, Reader?”
“Um…”
Does he seriously expect you to stream like this? You may be dating, but this has to be unprofessional on so many levels, especially since there’s no way chat could know your position with those PNGs on screen. Is the audio okay? What happens if you bump the mic or it picks up a weird sound that clues your audience into the secret streamer relationship scandal of the year?
The paranoia is getting to you, but you can’t deny it; Shu’s lap is really comfortable. His calves fold at just the right place so that it serves as an incline for your body.
Shu's fingers rest on your hair, and it rustles as he begins to comb through. Your heart soars.
“What was that?” He says out loud in response to nothing. He’s obviously bluffing, but he looks so at peace with his hands in your hair and the stream online. This might be his perfect element. “Reader, can you repeat that again?”
“…Right.” Screw it. If Shu is this calm, then maybe there’s nothing to fear after all. You close your eyes as Shu strokes you, and you launch into your default greeting as your role in the company.
When Shu smiles, you can hear how his voice lifts. “Chat says it’s all good. Welcome to the stream, everybody.” His nails travel to your jawline. One finger lightly scratches along while the others prop along your face, and the action is so tender it almost feels religious. Shu watches you exhale, appreciating the moment to relax even while the stream is running, and when he continues, only one person listening can recognize how his voice clouds into cotton candy. “I have Reader with me today.”
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
18. wearing their clothes + 12. kissing before leaving for the day
Shu’s sleep schedule is, as you know, a mess, but last night was probably one of his… messier moments. He scheduled a late-night membership stream, and only hours before he went live, he made a members-only post for the waiting room. The thumbnail and title both had soju in it.
Long story short, the stream ended in the wee hours of the morning with the Yaminions happily fed and Shu satisfied, but barely able to keep his eyes open until he raided another stream. You were asleep for the majority of the stream but woke up just as his head hit the pillow, still in his daytime clothes and not a single step of his nightly routine done. You gently jostled Shu to get himself ready for bed, but the sun was rising in the sky by the time he fell asleep properly.
The day doesn’t stop for anyone. A few hours later, you wake up well-rested and in time for your plans for the day. Shu is still sound asleep, however. He stole the covers and nestled up in the warmth while he was asleep, and you could barely see his face through untamed dark hair. Even in deep sleep and all covered up like this, he’s adorable. He doesn’t stir a bit even as you climb out of bed and get ready.
After brushing your teeth, you pass from the bathroom to the bedroom again and think on your outfit, before you see a plume of fur out of the corner of your eye.
The memories of last night—this morning?—Return as you examine the dresser, and the fur on top of it. It’s the loose black sleeves from Shu’s newer outfits, and on top of it is a large bat wing wrapped in a black-and-white fur pelt.
You take the sleeves and pelt in your hands, intending to put them away where they belong, but the fur is so inviting and cozy you don’t want to let go. You bury your face in it. It’s so fluffy! And it smells just like his everyday fragrance, subtly sweet while undeniably human.
The sleeves are adjustable, and slide in place on your arms easily. You think to yourself. His accessories are pretty wild, but you could tone these down into something a lot more casual streetwear with your outfit today. Besides, it’s your day off and you’ll be meeting up with some friends to hang out. It wouldn’t be inappropriate.
Shu probably wouldn’t mind, either.
You slip the pelt over your shoulder and fasten the sleeves as you finish up your breakfast, just about ready to leave the house. The pelt is surprisingly light, and the bat wing conserves your heat without getting sweaty.
The last thing left to do is to grab your keys. You head over to the bedroom and find them on your nightstand. Shu is exactly where you left him, the hair in front of his face swishing along to his gentle breathing.
It parts out of his face as you reach out. Your hands stroke his hair as you examine his sleeping face. His lips are slightly open, and whenever he exhales, you can see a flash of teeth between his blanket nest. His banana rests between his ear and the pillow.
The closer you get to him, the more your smile grows. He’s… really adorable. Everything about him right now seems soft, almost cherubic. He looks like a stuffed animal. A plush cat! You have to fight the urge to squeeze him like one.
Instead, you brush some of his hair out of the way, and press a kiss to his temple.
Shu doesn’t move. He’s still as plush as ever. Even as the kiss ends, he’s so warm that you want to stay nearby.
“Sleep well, sweetheart,” you whisper, close to his ear. “I’ll be back.”
A lock of pink hair curls under your fingers as you tuck it behind the ear. Shu’s eyes are closed, but you hear him drowsily grunt. Is he awake? “Mm-mm.”
You stifle a giggle. “You want me to stay?”
“Mm-hm.”
“But I have things to do.”
“Mm-mm.”
“I’ll stay a little longer if you wake up. Are you awake?”
Shu finally opens his mouth. “Noooo.”
“Then I’ll let you rest while I’m out.” You kiss him again. “Goodnight. Bye-bye, Shu.”
“Wait.” Shu blindly feels around with his free hand, and finds yours. He takes it, groggily but gently, guiding you closer to him even though his eyes are shut. The back of your palm goes velvet pink, and you hear a small chu as he parts.
Then he tucks your hand in his grasp like a stuffed animal. You’re trapped.
“Shu,” you whine. You try to wriggle out, careful not to disturb him. No avail, however. You’re stuck, and the sleeves drape along his body like even more blankets. “I have somewhere to be!”
He cuddles up to your forearm, and his head meets the fur of his pelt. “Soft.” He nuzzles closer, considering your shoulder as a suitable pillow, before fully resting his head on you.
You call his name again. It’s a really strange position for you, and besides, you have plans!
But then you look down. You don’t remember seeing that light smile on his face when you first kissed him goodbye.
You can make five minutes for that smile.

Shu wonders if he's too obvious. He probably is.
Your name appears often on his schedule. First it was a group collab with you and a few other newer Vtubers in your unit, then a duo collab two weeks later for a long game that needs at least two more streams to complete.
He enters VC daily, and when you join in after your work for the day, your voice colors his world brighter. No wonder you got hired; you sound just as pretty as you look. Hearing you laugh out loud is straight sugar, and your words relax him until you go on a passionate rant. He swears it's like sending his heart on a roller coaster.
Shu realizes that whenever you're on the line, he always hesitates to disconnect before leaving, just in case you say... something. He doesn't know what he wants. Anything. Just another word would be fine.
Three drinks in at a boys' night out with Luxiem, Vox bonks his head before ruffling his hair. "You've got it bad."
"I know," Shu says. He slumps over the table, phone in his hands and your last DM under his fingers. He's drunk on two things, and it shows through half-lidded amethyst in his eyes and rose quartz on his cheeks.
Ike watches on as Vox pats his back. "Have you ever thought about telling them?"
"Nooo..." Shu buries himself further into his own arms. "It's not a big deal."
"I'd argue otherwise."
"And I'm scared to ruin stuff," he continues. "Just talking to them is enough. I like them so much."
Luca laughs out loud. "You really have it bad. Want me to text them for you?"
Shu snatches his phone and holds it close to his chest. "No! It'll be fine, thank you!"
Mysta leans back in his chair, cocktail in hand and silly straw along his lips. "You're seriously hopeless, you know that, right? You gotta tell them at some point before it eats you alive. Or before they're unavailable."
Shu's eyes gloss over the table before he averts them. He should do something about it. The thought really does terrify him, though. Falling for a coworker is risky enough, but even if somehow you feel the same, he has no idea how open you would be to long distance.
Maybe it's the drinks hitting him, or how sleepy of a drunk he is, but the last time you met up he couldn't get the scent of your shampoo out of his mind. The memory is saccharine, and cuts through the boozy air. All this sweat in the bar. His folded arms become a pillow, yet he longs to wake up just about anywhere else as long as your shampoo lingers while you sleep next to him.
Under his arms, Shu pouts. The boys have a point. He really does have it bad.
Then he immediately denies that thought. It's just the drinks, that's all. Alcohol always makes emotions run wild. He'll pass today off as just that, alcohol and emotions, and when he recounts how yesterday he wanted to see your smile, and how he listened to you passionately talk the day before—that's the alcohol, too. Memories also feel more intense when he's drunk, and he'll go along with it even though he'll still think about you in the morning when he's nursing his hangover.
"I'll be fine," he lies. "I'm ordering more."

happy 100 followers! may i request 2,4, 27, and 38 as well as 2 and 14 of the mature prompts with mysta and luca?
thank you, it's been very happy! i've actually been sitting on this one for a while, and you might notice the mature stuff isn't there. you see, i got a bit itchy about putting only the mature stuff under the read more and forcing people to look at this lengthy af post above the cut, plus i felt bad about having the sfw requests done for so long while the mature ones weren't. so once i finished the mature requests, i updated this post with a link underneath. i appreciate the requests!

🦊 Mysta Rias
2. surprise date
Mysta doesn’t need much to be happy. Don’t get him wrong, spending time with you in a shared space is a perfect routine. But he’s also spontaneous, and too much time in one location gets him stir crazy, even if it’s with someone he loves.
He gets home early one day, pecks you on the cheek, and tells you put on something pretty, we’re getting dinner. Then he’s out of the room just as quickly as he came, and when you step out ready to leave it’s like he’s been waiting for an eternity.
He takes your hand, and your arm slightly bounces from his grasp as you walk.
The scenery shifts from city to calm, until he leads you inside a restaurant, and it’s only when you’re seated on the patio that you realize it’s not a patio at all. Your feet rest on solid wood, but the sound of waves along the lakeside restaurant sets you at peace.
Your nose is buried in the menu until Mysta taps the corner of the laminated booklet. When you lower it, he gestures to where the sky meets the lake.
The world is glazed golden sunset. Rays of orange and red along the bleary sun as it sinks into glittering waters that reflect the sunset above.
"Cool," he says, as if the sparkling lemonade lake isn’t enough to take his breath away. He's more satisfied at your expression than the water. "I couldn’t remember if the sun was supposed to set now or an hour later."

4. surprise hug
With utmost care, you slip past the door silently and creep into Mysta’s streaming room.
His desk is at the corner, facing the wall and the monitors against it. One screen displays stream options and statistics, while the other flickers to Mysta’s ending screen just in time. He bobs side to side in his chair, even though his model is no longer on stream. “Koninnit! Bye-bye, everyone, until next stream!”
He continues swaying in his seat for a few more seconds while the Mystakes click off of his channel. You inch closer. The room is a standard-size office, but the distance has never felt so monumental before. Each step is muffled against the carpeting.
When the screen goes black, Mysta sits still for a moment. Then his shoulders sink. He lets out a sigh, as he always does, how he grounds himself out of his stream persona and back into the real world.
He stretches, long arms reaching up to the ceiling. The sleeves of his shirt are rolled up from gaming, and the muscles along his forearm flex as he extends.
You take the opportunity to swivel his chair around.
Mysta’s eyes, previously closed, widen in a shock of electric blue and peach as he yelps in surprise—
—And you wrap yourself around him, buried in his collar and hands around his back.
His posture is straight from the shock. You nuzzle closer to his neck. Your lips skim along the bare skin, not so much to be a kiss but more than enough to suggest one.
"I missed you," you hum, quiet in the absence of the stream. All to yourself, you and Mysta alone.
Mysta's shoulders relax. His arms roll down under your grasp, and he lets out a breath again. This time it's deep enough that his chest brushes against yours before lowering with the exhale. His fingers curl between your shirt and the ends of your hair. “I’m here.”
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
27. kissing in the rain
On your free day, you and Mysta decided to take advantage of the nicely cloudy weather and go on a walk away from the sun.
“Oh, great, it’s raining!”
“Hang on, okay? We’re almost home!”
And what once seemed like a good idea was cut short by a sudden, steady rain.
To be fair, it should’ve been expected. You had a sinking feeling it was too dark to be a simple cloudy day.
Whether you expected it or not, the rain pattered along your back as you lowered your head and sped up your pace. You already feel a shiver coming on.
“Don’t get lost.” Mysta takes your hand in his, while the other pulls his cap down over his face. His sunglasses are splattered with water, and so is his shirt. The wet fabric follows the contours of his body.
Your cheeks puff with mock indignation. “I’m not going to get lost, Mysta, I just want to get home!”
“Just making sure, okay? Let’s get you there. Hop up.”
He approaches a curb, and his shoes splash at a forming puddle as he helps you up. Gentlemanly, but you don’t need him to guide you like a child, either.
As the steady rain turns to a downpour, you keep an eye out at the shops along the way to your home. You focus on the jutting architecture, and how well it covers the ground below.
It doesn’t take you long to find an awning sandwiched between two stores in a shallow alleyway. The ground below is speckled with raindrops, but there are still patches of dry pavement underneath.
“This way, Reader—“
“I don’t think so,” you say, and before Mysta can lead you away, you divert and bring him to the alley instead.
Water still peppers your shoulders as you duck under the awning, but it’s much less than the rain beyond. Mysta shakes himself off like a dog, and it does nothing but pop his open collar out more. Rain drops down his neck and to his freshly exposed chest. “Do you really think we can wait it out—mmph!”
You’re not sure. You didn’t think further than kissing him stupid. His lips are slick with rainwater, and your tongue mixes it into saliva as you pry him apart, a hammer’s end to a nail.
Each curl of your tongue is another moment savored. Mysta: gentlemanly, caring Mysta, who wants to get you home safe and leads you along his way; and seems to have forgotten that you know how to deviate from the path with him following.
Mysta remembers now, and explores your mouth with the same familiarity as the path home he was so intent on walking before you made your move. Whatever he wanted to say, it’s nothing important, and he forgets it in favor of your taste, rainwater, mouths connected, your hand on his waist, the breath cold against his wet skin right above the lip you seem so eager to tear open and devour—
A splash of water breaks you before he does.
Your eyes snap open just in time to see a downpour of collected rain crash right over your bodies. You hiss like a witch while he squeaks like a mouse, and the slope of the awning only makes it worse, like sitting under a blurred waterfall.
You both gasp out loud, breathless and shocked, totally soaked down to the bone. Your hair hangs over your face, and you part it out of your eyesight in time to see Mysta react. The ears of his hat point downwards as he struggles to catch his breath.
The corners of your mouth raise, and the rainwater washes your adventurousness into embarrassment instead. You clumsily catch your breath. “Maybe we should get back out there again…”
Mysta snatches you up instead.
One greedy hand presses your back close to him, while the other guide your chin to stay by his trembling mouth. His skin is so cold but he’s intent on you, you can see it in his reddened lips and his eyes so bright they could glow in the overcast, and, right, he wanted to lead you earlier.
The splattering rain pales in comparison as Mysta grumbles, “How much wetter can we get, anyways?”
His hand positions your head for a kiss of his own, and the water doesn’t cross past your lips this time.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
38. falling asleep while cuddling
Mysta fidgets often in his sleep, but he only thrashes around like this when he isn’t resting right. Usually after nights like these, he’s bleary and groggy in the morning, and adds another shot of espresso to his coffee.
Then you hear him whimper, and nights like these are even rarer. He’s having a nightmare.
"Mysta?" Careful not to startle him, you rest your hand on his arm and call his name. "Mysta, baby. Wake up."
He cries again as you whisper to him, and when you reach out to his shoulder he snaps back to life. The whimper turns to a sharp, sudden gasp as his eyes break open. Blue and pink colors the darkness, but they're filled with fear.
Then they go shut again, and Mysta drags his hands over his face as he groans.
It takes him a moment before he utters an exhausted but grateful "Thanks."
"No problem. Are you okay?"
"I don't know, is there a giant spider in the corner of the ceiling?"
“Nope. You’re clear.”
“That’s good then.” Mysta sighs. His eyes open through the cracks between his fingers. “That was fucking awful.”
You rub his arm in an attempt to soothe him. “You up for talking about it?”
“I guess? There isn’t much to talk about. I was trapped in this huge web, and this nasty-ass tarantula was just sat there staring at me.” His hands drag down to the edge of his chin as he frowns. "I don't know. The last thing I remember was the spider spitting a bunch of webbing all over me, and I couldn't move no matter what I did. And I couldn't see because of all the webs over my eyes."
You suck some air through your teeth. "That sounds horrible."
"I hope I don't dream about it again." Mysta looks dreary. Much better than he did while he was still asleep, but his expression is tense, and he focuses on the ceiling of the room. His breathing is audible, a quiet but slow cycle as he tries to calm himself down.
You shuffle closer to him, and as you do, you reach your hand to his face. He exhales as your fingers glide along his cheek. Soft skin rests along the cup of your palm as he nuzzles closer to you.
"Baby." You thumb over his milky-white skin. "Shh, it's okay. You're safe."
Your touch makes him produce a low, guttural hum, leftover from his exhaustion. He soaks it up like a plant to water. “Can you keep doing that?”
Of course you can. You murmur affirmations as Mysta’s eyelashes flutter. The pace gets slower the longer you go on, little whispers of safety and comfort, and pledges over how nothing can harm him, not while you’re beside him.
You brush a wisp of hair away from his eyes as he looks up at you. Still blue and pink, and still full of fear, but there is vulnerability, and the strength to be vulnerable.
Mysta averts his gaze. His breath hitches, and he hesitates to ask, but he musters up all his courage. The request is barely audible. “Can I… can I hold you?”
“Of course you can.”
You bring yourself closer to him, and before anything else Mysta sinks into your collar. Uneven breaths run along your neck and the beginnings of your chest. His arm comes next. The fingers along your back tentatively trail along the outline of your body, resting along your edges before continuing to roam, like he’s committing everything about you to memory.
A hand rises along your spine and down to your hips, before eventually resting at the space on your back underneath your shoulder. Small, broken circles press into your skin. He’s shaking. Every movement is conscientious, and he’s delicate as he takes you in, like one sudden movement would snap you in half.
So you close the distance. You feel the heat of Mysta’s body just next to yours, a reminder that you’ll always be here for him, which invites him to take a chance. The delicate circles go forgotten as he desperately and suddenly clings to you, his chest against yours, and his hand attached to the lifeline along your back. He buries his head even further into you, and his breathing is labored under trembling lips.
He embraces you as an extension of himself. The one that can keep him grounded. You caress his face in silent comfort as he holds onto you for dear life, even after his heartbeat slows and his breathing loses its sound, just puffs of air on your nape. His eyes close as you loosely scratch his head, like a puppy.
Mysta doesn’t let go of you for the rest of the night, even when his arm goes slack and his body matches the rise and fall of rest. When you wake up, it’s to his peaceful sleeping face.

🦁 Luca Kaneshiro
2. surprise date
You probably should've been suspicious once Luca announced that he was taking you on a surprise date tomorrow, then told you to wear your shabbiest pair of jeans. And to bring a pair of sunglasses. And to wake up early in the morning.
No matter what you asked him, though, he would always evade your questions with a wink if you were lucky and a smirk if you weren't.
Luca woke you up so early the sun wasn't even up outside, but at least he helped you groggily get through your morning routine and guided you to the car. He took the wheel, and in a matter of minutes you were back to dreamland.
A bump in the road shook you awake again, and luckily this time you rubbed the sleepy out of your eyes much easier than that morning. Luca was still driving with no sign of stopping, but the sun was starting to rise now, a hazy orange glow over bumfuck, nowhere. All you could see for miles were green fields and glades, and the occasional farmhouse.
"Where are we?"
"In the Sugondese."
"Very funny, Luca." You stretched about as well as you could while still strapped in the seat. "Seriously, though, we're in the middle of nowhere. Are you about to tie up some loose ends?"
"You'll just have to wait and see!"
You slump over. "Great. My mafia boyfriend is about to leave me for dead in the middle of the wilderness where no one can find me." You looked at Luca. "You remember my final wish if I have to die by your hands, right? You have to deliver a monologue explaining your master plan like a B-list villain if you have to kill me."
Luca snorts. "Daddy, chill. I'm not going to kill you, Reader, just be patient a little while longer. We're almost there."
He asks you how you slept, and natural conversation flows from there. You get so immersed in talking that you barely even notice when the car slows and Luca pulls over. He hurries out so he can open the door for you, a habit he insists is gentlemanly but comes across more puppyish than anything.
You step out. "So where are we?"
"Follow me."
You take his hand as you do. The dirt road kicks up a little as you trod through in your sneakers, and grass threatens to overtake the edge of the road. Luca leads you ahead down a walking path between trees.
"Oh, woah..."
You try to say something, but your voice falls flat as the trees part and give way to a stretch of farmland. Ripe, red berries dot the prim rows of crops, adorned with healthy bushels of foliage and an occasional white bloom between the fruit. Morning dew sparkles along the berries, rubies under the sunrise.
You whisper, like speaking would wreck the farmland. "I mentioned the other day I was craving strawberries, didn't I?"
"You like it?"
"Luca, I love it. I can't believe you planned this even though I barely remembered that myself."
"I just wanted to do something nice for you. I got us a time slot to pick our own strawberries! So once we get down there, you can take as many as you can hold in a basket, just for us."
"You're such a sweetheart," you replied. Luca chuckles once before he looks away with a hand behind his neck. The sunrise casts a warm glow on his face.
He turns when he recomposes himself, and his strong features are outlined by the shadow of the sun. Even then, it still glints off the morning-dew strawberries and along his golden hair. "Only one way to get there. Take my hand?"
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
4. surprise hug
You look up from your phone periodically. You texted Luca that you got to the street corner earlier than expected for your date today, and he told you to stay put since he was nearly there. Even then, you stand by a bush of flowers along the sidewalk and a lamppost, looking around for your date to no avail.
You squint at the timestamps of your conversation. He should be here by now...
Surprise overtakes you as darkness clouds over your vision. Two warm hands clasp themselves over your eyes, a wall of inky black, and you yelp at the sudden blindness.
"Guess who?"
You already had an idea, but that vibrato confirmed it.
"Lucaaa!" You scold. "My heart nearly jumped out of my chest!"
"Sorry! I couldn't help myself."
"Don't worry about it. Just—can you let me see already—mmph."
Luca spins you around, and you get a glimpse of the street before the darkness swallows you up again. He hugs you.
You thought his hands were warm before, but that's nothing compared to how he holds you close to his heart. He rests his head, and the side of his face squishes as he presses one cheek to yours. Luca is big and strong, and the way that he holds you so tightly is only a reminder. His sleeves are rolled up, and his forearms flex along as he happily hums along with the hug.
He turns his head to peck you on the cheek. Then he pushes you back by the shoulders, and light floods your vision, and just like that, the hug is over.
Luca's hands are still on your shoulders. "I didn't keep you waiting too long, did I?"
You can take in the world just fine, but you're having trouble processing. The hug was so sudden, but Luca's warmth still lingers over your skin and under your cheeks.
"I'm fine," you say in a vain attempt to recompose yourself.
"Really? You look kind of red. Were you out in the sun for a while?"
"It's not the sun." But it might as well be, considering how bright your man shines in your eyes. "Let's get going, okay?"
He nods, the moment already forgotten to him while it's all you can think about. When he places his arm at the small of your back to walk beside you, the ghost of the hug returns, and you lean in closer to him as the date begins.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
27. kissing in the rain
It was such a nice day out, you think. You stare through the window in the door to your yard. What happened?
The abrupt rain totally took you by surprise. The sun beat down your back all day today while you and Luca did some chores outside. It was so sunny, in fact, that Luca figured he would work out under the sun instead of at the gym. He hasn't come back inside, even after the rain began.
In fact, you watch him lay face-up in the grass as the rain continues to pour.
You throw on some rain boots and walked onto the porch. The roof of your home just barely covered your head, but the wind casts some of the rain along your clothes. "Luca? Are you okay?"
"Oh, Reader!" He pops up like a jack-in-the-box. His hair sticks to his forehead and frames his smile. "Come with me! It feels great!"
"Sounds like a great way to catch a cold, if you ask me."
"Just for a moment?"
You hesitate. Even though Luca loves the sun, the last few days have been unpleasantly hot for you, but the weather now is just the right temperature, and he looks so happy standing there in the rain...
You take a cautious step out from the roof's shelter, and flinch as beads of water meets your skin directly. Cold rain runs down your closed eyes. It thrums along the porch in steady waves, and the grass crunches under the drops.
The sound of the grass makes way to footsteps along your porch. Luca is by your side. "I've got you!" In a fluid motion, he sweeps you off your feet and into his arms like royalty. You throw your arms around his neck as he carries you, and holds you closer as he steps into the downpour with hearty laughter.
He covers you and takes the majority of the rain while you slowly adapt to the weather. "Not so bad, is it?"
"Okay, okay. I'll admit it." You can't help giggling. His laughter is infectious. "You're right."
Once you get used to the rain, he swirls you in a loose circle. A breeze kicks up from the momentum, cool along the beads of water on your skin, and you inch closer as the rainwater seeps into your clothes. Luca cradles you like a precious treasure. Even as his laughter patters out, his lavender eyes are trained on you.
His gaze falls down your face, and like the rain itself, his kiss is light but just enough to send shivers down your spine.
Your eyes flutter closed as you take in the kiss, slow and soft and so delicate it melts in your mouth. The fingers around Luca's nape rise into his wet hair. They pull him in closer, and savor the chill turning calm as the kiss tastes sweeter.
The rain nearly drowns out the sound when you part, but you catch the cute little chu as Luca's lips leave yours. You don't open your eyes. Rainwater trails down your skin, but the lower half of your face stays untouched. You know why: you can still feel the cool, crisp edge of Luca's breath along the margin of your lip.
You lean forward and pull him back in, and the weather is nothing compared to the way Luca warms your heart.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
38. falling asleep while cuddling
He's drifting off again. Luca's eyes haven't blinked open in a few minutes, and it's as adorable as it is funny. He insisted on watching a movie with you tonight, but rested his head on your chest as you cuddled on the couch instead of being the big spoon like you were so used to.
You connected the dots about twenty minutes into the movie after watching him slowly close his eyes and let his head roll, only to startle himself awake a few minutes later. This has been happening on repeat ever since the movie started.
Luca exhales, and his tattooed chest falls. Is he snoring?
"Luca?" You whisper. "You ready to go to bed?"
It takes a moment before he sleepily hums. It takes him even longer to remember how to speak with a low, grumbly voice. "...'M awake."
"Sure, sure." His eyes are still shut, so he doesn't notice how you look down at him with fondness. He's so cute nestled along your body like this. You're used to Luca being so energetic when you're all alone and the movie goes forgotten as white noise, he looks youthful and innocent. Calm.
A strand of blond hair lays over his eyelashes. You thumb it out of the way, so careful not to interrupt his sleepy face, but his head turns just in time to meet the palm of your hand.
"Seriously." Your heart melts. "So cute."
"Yeah, 'm awake..."
Clearly not awake enough to hear you correctly. Your thumb circles around where his head rests, small and subtle. Luca yawns and nuzzles closer into your hand as he repositions, your body as his pillow.
As boisterous as he is in action, it's these moments you appreciate the most, between the action and adventure and all the glamour that comes with being a mafia boss. He's your knight in shining armor that swears to protect you with his life, but he's so still in your arms, and there is so much trust in the way your fingers curl at his jawline.
He really is cute, but he wouldn't let anyone else in the world adore him as much as you do.
Luca lets out a tiny snore.
"Awake, my ass." The corners of your mouth curve upwards anyways. "Love you, silly."
The rise and fall of Luca's chest is rhythmic, and his warmth drags you down into comfort. You close your eyes, and the song of his light snores lulls you to sleep.

“Isn’t it beautiful?” You hold Ike’s hand within your own as the ocean waves lap along the shore. It’s a peaceful beach, with sloping sands and sprouted grass right where you stand, dividing the sand and the stable dirt under your feet. “I discovered it a while ago. It’s hard to find, so people don’t usually visit here, even though it’s so calm. It’s for just the two of us.”
“It is. I love it,” Ike says. He looks contented, but his eyes drift to his shoes. “It’s just that, when you said we were going to the beach, I thought you meant the side with the boardwalk.”
“Oh. Right.” You forgot. Ike usually wears boots with a high heel. Stilettos and sand are sworn enemies.
“Um, don’t worry! I’ll figure something out.”
“But how? You’ll sink.”
“Yeah… You have a point, I guess.” He sours. “My feet kind of hurt from all the walking, too.”
“They do?”
“It’s fine. I’ll manage.”
“But I don’t want you to get hurt.”
“It’s not the first time, and definitely won’t be the last. I’m used to it. It’s not that bad after so long, but still, the sand is going to be a problem – aah!”
Ike’s thought gets cut off as you squat, swing your arm under his legs, and gather him all up in a bundle. In his surprise, he grabbed the first thing his hands landed on – your shoulder – and your hands support him as you hold him gingerly.
He sputters, so small in your arms. “R-Reader! What are you – did you seriously just –“
“You said it yourself, the sand’s a problem, right?”
You readjust. Ike clings to your neck as he bounces once in your grasp, and shoves his head along your shoulder and out of sight. “How can you even carry me?”
You step forward to where the beach starts with a playful grin. “I’m much stronger than I look.”
Your shoes meet the doughy sand at a lower level than the grass. A short breath frosts down the scruff of your neck while you jump down and Ike buries himself closer to you. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see his ears glow red between the gold earrings.
“Look at me, princess?”
Ike shoots up at the pet name, and sure enough, the rest of his face glows in the same blush all the way down to his neck. He doesn’t even want to fight how that name runs straight through his veins and into his heart. He’s too set in your arms to resist.
He melts like a sigh as you hold him higher. Ike tastes like ocean against your lips.
The sticky, salty air glues his mouth to yours for a blink longer than intended. “Let me treat you like royalty,” you murmur.
Ike nods, transfixed.
For Ike, you are eternal. Your face is every reflection off the bubbling sea and every sparkle shed by the sun. To be held like this is enough. The kiss is enough. You are enough. The minutes pass but the world is stuck in a selfish pause, and he replays all your love on loop.
For you, he is loyal and love, and you know he is too precious to last another moment like this. The second goes by. You let it go.
So you hoot and holler, the quiet broken, and he squeaks in response as you run along the shore. “Incoming, please make way for Your Royal Highness, the lovely Princess Ike!”
Your princess cracks into songbird chirps and a red-faced smile. “What are you doing, there’s no one around!”
“Sorry, can’t hear you, too busy spreading the good word of my beloved princess.” You stop to stare at the ocean. The seafoam rises and falls flat against itself, and rustles out the music of the waves as the whitewater dies out on the wet sand. “YO, OCEAN, YOU’RE NOTHING COMPARED TO MY IKEY!”
You spin around, and his earrings swing with the motion. Ike squeals. The sea breeze picks up a spray of water that flicks against your faces, but his laughter is high-pitched and uncontrollable, and persists even when the saltwater gets in his mouth.
Bubbly like the ocean backdrop, but he’s far more breathtaking than the beach could ever be. Especially at this angle, where his eyes can barely stay open because he’s smiling so wide, and the tousled ends of his hair matches the bottle-blue waves behind him, and he is so close that his giggles breathe life back at you. Your hands are flush along his back where they belong. The sandy grasp treasures the tide.
