I think about Mr Wines in BaL a lot. How it agreed to deliver the preamble to the death blow in exchange for a promise, how it said it considered Veils a friend some time in the past. I wonder how it felt the night after it handed over the absinthe, back home alone with a full glass in the dark and knowing that somewhere the trap was working.
