u know when u shouldn’t get ur hopes up but it’s too late the hopes are up, they are awake and eating breakfast and writing out a schedule for the next 3-17 days
#this choreographer who is#my god#a character?????#anyway#she sat me down at the start of class today#(which#sidebar#does it ever STOP being terrifying when a teacher is like '[full name] come here for a minute I want to talk to you'???)#ANYWAYY#sat me down to say how she wants to have a talk basically about#my ✨dance career✨ and how she can help#(second side note: this woman keeps doing this thing where she's like fawning like ur such a beautiful dancer amazing stupendous and then#i spend 6 weeks rehearsing in the back of the studio and never getting to actually dance. ANWYAY)#and then at the start of rehearsal was like#hey. u should do a sleeping beauty variation in this performance#do u know them#(to which i was like *flashbacks to kicking andre in the nuts in white cat pas de deux 13 yr ago*)#and she was like yeah. i'll talk to [other choreographer doing the sleeping beauty bits]#and now my brain is like 'hi pointe shoes hi costumes hi can i finally wear my pretty pretty tutu'#and like!!! i know i should not expect anything!! i will be disappointed!!!!!#this woman has not followed through on a single thing she's said!! except me not having to pay for the concert#and yet!!!#the hopes!! THEY ARE ALIVE with the sound of WANTING#personal#all this to say#god i really hope i actually get to do a variation#and i hope i get to do it on pointe#and i hope i get to wear my pretty ass peach tutu which WOULD be perfect for aurora actually#altho i'd have to figure out a bodice/overlay thing but. that's fine. i could probably find someone with a sewing machine#and learn how to use it
