Week 6, up to day 41. By next Wednesday I will be at 45 days straight, hopefully having ingrained a daily habit. I need to journal on a page about what I learned from the experience, especially in regards to keeping the habit and fitting it into my routine.
After Wednesday I want to re-evaluate my goals and decide what to tackle next. I'll keep the daily practice, but maybe its OK to only do a few warm-ups, scribbles, or a half a page a day while I focus on the other goals. Such as:
Figure drawing (quickposes dot com at minimum, but also try to go to a weekly night group when possible). I went to a real figure drawing session last October, so at least I have a reference for a number of short vs long poses if I'm at home. Twice a week?
2. Sketching in real sketchbooks rather than printer pages. I already own good sketchbooks, I just have perfectionism issues. As a bonus, I can touch other media that better paper can handle.
3. Some of the new routine time can now be used for FINISHING old pieces. 🤞
