I love how you changed Wrentail’s design slightly by making him more rounded. Mudpaw is spikey but is really a sweetheart, and Wrentail being rounded making you think he’s a decent cat when in actuality he’s a monster. Really drives the theme never judge a book by its cover

#ask #mudpaw #wrentail #I remember reading one of those ''how to draw'' books a few years back #and it had an example of a ''heroic'' wolf character vs a ''villainous'' one #and I thought it was funny that we use appearances as an indicator of what a character is like #appearances can be deceiving!!#using specific shapes to communicate things about a character is great for when you want to communicate their personality at a glance #(ex: characters like owlpounce)#but I also find it to be equally good to do the opposite sometimes :)
