Oh yeah that

Well...I still have an idea for an interdimensional mindswap au

But it involves Hollow Knight (I have to appease the brain somehow, my other aus arent going anywhere I am still VERY much hyperfixated on turtles, but oh boy hollow knight is just so good)

So instead of 2012 Leo and Rise Leo swapping minds...

Its 2012 Leo and Hollow (aka the Hollow Knight themself)

And I think that would be objectively funnier

Considering that both of them would be going "I dont know where I am, what is wrong with my body, I am surrounded by people that act like they know me but I cant even understand what they're saying please help me" the entire time

Poor Hollow is gonna absolutely struggle as Leo. They have only just started to heal from the Radiance after over a century of torture and agony. They tried so incredibly hard to be the Pure Vessel, to be nothing more than an empty object. No mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry suffering. Just a simple tool that would follow orders to a T and ensure that the Radiance never got out. But they WERENT. And when they're just starting to heal from all that they get yoinked into a different dimension, a different home and family into a different BODY. Now they are not only encouraged but EXPECTED to have their own thoughts, their own emotions, hopes, dreams and passions even their own personality. Thats supposed to be NORMAL.

Even worse when they're expected to GIVE orders and LEAD instead of following them.

(and to make it even more difficult, for the longest time Hollow is literally not gonna understand what Leo's family are saying to them. Because you know, the bugs of Hollow Knight dont speak ENGLISH. They speak their bug language, it just looks like english so the player can read it)

Meanwhile Leo on the other hand will be stuck inside a MASSIVE bug body.

A bug body that is SEVERELY FUCKED UP. Its hurts to move, it hurts to breath, everything is hurting nonstop and its AWFUL.

To make matters worse he is stuck in a kingdom where at least 98 percent of the population is DEAD (I say 98 because the Mantis tribe is still around and so are the people in dirtmouth. There are houses in the background of dirtmouth there have to be more bugs living there)

Which also means that there are a LOT of dead rotting bodies everywhere, so so many.

Hallownest is a corpse of a kingdom.

And thats really gonna fuck Leo up. Just imagine, a massive sprawling city with one maybe two people max. An empty city, an empty kingdom.

Theres no one.

Majority of people are dead. So many that they cant all possibly be properly buried.

The kingdom is a mass grave.

(Imagine if Leo ends up in the abyss. Imagine seeing thousands of corpses of your dead siblings.)
