Had an out of body experience last night scrolling through the Crash wiki and finding this concept art for different Crash costumes in On the Run (the mobile game)

So for a long time now my canon with R. Marie has been that she sees that Crash could be very useful if he were actually on the side of evil, but she resents him for not being on their side and choosing to be, eugh, a "good guy". Barf.

But ya know, I don't really have all of my timeline set up as for WHEN exactly R. Marie would join Cortex, if its not from the very start then I'm thinking within the first three games. For the moment, I'm leaning toward having her join the team somewhere between Crash 2 and 3, and in that case I would stick to her thinking Crash could be useful, since she wasn't around to see when his brain got scrampled and doesn't realize that he CAN'T be brainwashed. There's no BRAIN to WASH

BUT. And this is where it gets good 👀 I had the idea today that maybe, if R. Marie was there from the very start to see Cortex create all his mutants, including Crash who would seem to really be his favorite, maybe beforehand, R. Marie suggested using robots, her handmade robots, to build up their army in order to take over the world. Maybe that idea was shot down by Cortex in preference of his mutants. Maybe R. Marie resents them, especially The Favorite, Crash, because of that 👀 What I'm imagining is R. Marie overseeing a test with Crash a la the Flashback Tapes in IAT, and it accidentally turns into her venting out loud about how much she despises Crash for supposedly being a success where her creations have failed, at least from her perception. Maybe she even has a line of wondering "what does Dr. Cortex even see in you that he doesn't in me- MY, in myyyy creations. *awkward cough*"

Hey so like. Crash himself got to be a Nendoroid and he looks GREAT in Nendo form

Sooooooo I know there's not TOO big a chance of them making more Crash characters, but I'm optimistic and I never say never, and also like. I mean Cortex is already proportioned perfectly to be a Nendoroid sooooo 😂💖💖

💬 + crunch bandicoot?

OOOOOH CRUNCH OMG, Excellent choice, anon!! And ahaha so 👉👈 in the same way that, in my self-ship with Robotnik, I imagine Metal Sonic being like me and Robotnik's "child" since he was created using each of our skills in tandem (Ivo's talent in robotics and my s/i's skills in biology), the same is true with R. Marie, Cortex, and Crunch. I like to think that Crunch was a collaboration between the two, utilizing Cortex's abilities in creating mutated animal soldiers and R. Marie's skills in creating elaborate deadly weapons coming together to create Crunch, and obviously, R. Marie couldn't be more proud of their powerful cunning bandicoot boi 😌💝💝 (Well of course that's before he was snapped out of his brainwashed state. After that he was kinda disowned, but what a loss it was! ;-; Now R. Marie knows how Cortex felt when Crash first escaped. Such a perfectly good mutant, gone to waste on the side of good...)

Anyways, as to how I personally feel abt Crunch, I will just say, I really wish they'd bring him back 😭😭😭 I think after he turned good, he was a sweet addition to the bandicoot family!! And its rly sweet to me how in Tag Team Racing, he keeps calling Crash his "little brother" like GAH CMON MAN. THEYRE FAMILY 💝 As much as I really love Crash: It's About Time, I hope that the way it retconned every game after Crash 3 doesn't mean that Crunch is gone for good. I'd love to see him back in a new game! 😭💝

OMG YES OF COURSE 💝💝💝💝 So in all honesty I'm still working out how R. Marie fits into Crash 4's loose story so idk if she would even ever actually cross paths with the alternate universe Tawna, but if they DID, then I feel like R. Marie would definitely respect Tawna's abilities and steely reserve, they're basically both girlbosses (even tho R. Marie isnt a girl but u get what I mean) and that's something R. Marie can admire in someone else. Buuuuut Tawna is still on the side of good, so yeah sorry in R. Marie's eyes she's still an enemy. Just a respectable one 😔

Oh and I did say I'd do this part too, so as to what I personally irl think of her, I think she's really great and tbh its great to see Tawna brought back in ANY way! I get why they didn't use her much after the first game but still I miss her and think she had a lotta potential, so it's rly cool to see her in a new light and kicking ass like she deserves to! >:3

Whoo okay, today was stressful to say the least, but now I'm home and unwinding! I'm also gonna celebrate the 26th anniversary of the first Crash game by, what else, playing some Crash Bandicoot! :3

THESE BAD BOIS JUST GOT HERE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM BOTH 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 They honestly look REALLY FUCKIN GOOD especially for being silly lil Skylander toys, and of course having an actual figure of Cortex got me like OOOOOOH GIRL 💖💘💖💘💖💘💖💘💖💘 Its kind of funny how I've come full circle from playing the very first Skylanders and collecting tons of those figures, to here now almost ten years later buying these two Skylanders figures just for the specific characters 👉👈💖💖💖💖
